So many TOs love to talk behind closed doors, but nobody wants to shed light on who is actually a problem. Splat Safety and the other powerful orgs do nothing to “avoid consequences” for these people and refuse to hold them accountable. To hopefully save you all some problems and help clean out the community (if you want), here are some orgs and names that you can hold accountable. One name is omitted for the sake of the victim due to the severity of the case that has not been made public.

I did not make this information public while I was in the community, as I had hoped to help as a TO and community leader. I was happy to hear how many people I had helped while I was in that role, but the community still has a long way to go. Many of the people listed are incredibly good at hiding their true nature and intentions, as well as manipulating the community as a whole, so I expect some of these names to be a bit of a surprise. I am, however, aware that a lot of these names also float around in a negative manner behind closed doors.

NOTE: This list does not include people who have made honest mistakes, or people who have grown since their previous undesirable behaviour. We’re all human, we all make mistakes, and we all do undesirable things sometimes. This is a list of people who actively are willing to harm others or support people who harm others for their own personal gain or agenda.

Problematic orgs:

  • IPL - abusers and bullies as leads, other staff protect them. Allows predators/abusers to play in their tournaments as long as it suits them - all bans are performative in nature. They have also privately discussed temporarily stopping their tournaments to “demand deserved respect” and to “show the community who’s in charge.” They also host a “Splatoon TO” Discord server, which is heavily gatekept resources for TOs, and they leverage their position in the community in order to bend other TOs to their desires or else they would be kept out.
  • LUTI - abuse protector (Thoma) is an admin, other abusive individuals and those supportive of abuse are staff and seeding council. Take a look at who’s staff and seeding council - it’s all people from the same clique and other staff teams.
  • Splatoon Stronghold - Leads (Samino, Xi) protect abusers. They “fired” a TSO staff member for simply being a part of TSO, after Stronghold chose to side against those holding abusers and bullies accountable, leaving TSO targeted as a result.
  • Ammo Knights - Marcus and Green willingly brought on an abuser, Diamond (OctoDiamond), onto staff after finding out she was an abuser. Marcus is notorious for doing anything to make people like him and be popular, so I would not be surprised to find out that Diamond threatened to slander him in order to gain a staff position, so he complied in response.
  • Under Pressure - head TO is an abuser, surrounds them with people like Xi and Anon who defend them for the sake of gaining popularity
  • Splat Safety - self explanatory; they do not protect victims because they house abusers. They deny people from staff who hold abusers accountable

Problematic people:

  • Latios (player) - abusive/narcissist
  • OctoDiamond (Jelly Squids player, Ammo Knights TO) - abusive/narcissist
  • Thoma (IPL/LUTI/Under Pressure/Splat Safety lead/staff) - supports/enables abusers, divulges private information to hurt others (they’re on Splat Safety, so no surprise here)
  • Popgun (IPL lead) - attempted to manipulate the community into only playing in IPL tourneys by slandering others, then deletes the evidence later on to avoid accountability. Manipulates minors to achieve their “org goals” of holding a monopoly over the community
  • Snowpoke (Splat Safety owner) - we all know about that 2 hour video divulging private information, but they’ve also harassed community members/TOs under the guise of “protecting the community”
  • Marcus (Ammo Knights lead) - supports and enables abusers, lies on social media for popularity. He posted that I had been removed from staff, when in reality, I stepped down when he told me he didn’t know what to do when Diamond was exhibiting abusive behaviours towards me because he wanted to remain popular instead of doing the morally correct thing.
  • Green (Ammo Knights lead) - supports/enables abusers
  • AngelicWars (Jelly Squids player) - supports/enables abusers, including lying and manipulating others to do so
  • Gem (player, content creator) - abusive
  • Xi (Under Pressure/IPL/Splatoon Stronghold/LUTI staff) - supports/enables abusers, lies on social media for popularity. Power hungry and begun to create lies about TSO when they were removed from staff for their internal undesirable/distasteful behaviour
  • Anon (Under Pressure staff, Moo Moo tournament owner, ex TSO head TO) - supports/enables abusers. Manipulates others for the sake of their own personal gain
  • Zakirai (Curse of Excalibur lead) - made comments about wishing for others to be raped and then alted to avoid conseqences. Notorious harasser of TOs
  • Dreamy (Curse of Excalibur lead) - supports/enables abusers
  • pulp (player) - racist, homophobic, transphobic.. pretty much an all-around bigot. Let's not forget that they’re drama happy as well
  • Comma (player) - narcissistic & toxic towards community members for their own gain
  • Skye (IPL lead) - supports/enables abusers to a point of dating and defending them
  • Thyme (ex Under Pressure TO) - supports/enables abusers
  • Baha (discord: Baha_Shiro, just to not get confused with other members of the community) (TO) - abusive
  • tart aka sakura (player) - publicly attacked their old team with the excuse of ableism, which severely detracts from real ableism
  • vale (player) - harasses, manipulates, and abuses others
  • Mondi (player) - harasses and manipulates others to a point of receiving multiple community bans, then lies about it
  • not4sail (player) - bigot, has used non-reclaimable slurs on social media as a “joke” and has made ableist comments. Multiple community bans including OCE but then harasses and lies to the TOs enforcing the bans
  • youx aka Rezi (player) - I hope this is self explanatory, but for those who may not know, the short form is that they are a bigot who harasses others
  • Tariq (Org head for their own org, player) - sexist, homophobic, and harasses TOs
  • Stormy (player) - drama happy, posts anything including lies and supporting abusers in order to gain popularity
  • Vera (player) - drama happy, posts anything including lies and supporting abusers in order to gain popularity. Apologised to me privately for supporting my abusive ex, Latios, then continued to slander me/my org on social media.

More mildly problematic but still notable enough to separate them from the people in the bottom list:

  • 2Shots (player, ex TSO lead) - drama happy, lies in order to cause discourse. Doesn’t defend against abusers if they dislike the victims
  • Marq (Jelly Squids player, MIT Staff) - supports/enables abusers
  • Addy (Ammo Knights TO) - supports/enables abusers
  • MsPopgun (ex MIT lead) - supports bullies
  • Nato (Jelly Squids player) - supports/enables abusers
  • Echo (player) - supports abusers
  • Davfernape (player) - supports abusers, has expressed pedophilic interests
  • DeltaJordan (player) - supports abusers, has expressed pedophilic interests
  • Girlboss (player) - supports abusers and bullies
  • Swish (player) - supports abusers

Probably more mildly problematic, but still worth a mention:

  • Wug (MIT Lead) - okay guys, let’s stop alluding to them cheating on Stormy on social media, we all know it now
  • Toasty (LUTI TO) - do I need to elaborate lol (is an asshole to everyone they dislike, will be condescending whenever they get the chance, and they support the abusers/bullies they work with)
  • 8bitfusion (Commentator, player) - willingly associates with abusers
  • Geenie7 (commentator, player) - willingly associates with abusers
  • Shinxed (player) - willingly associates with abusers
  • Bane Linz (player) - willingly associates with abusers
  • Avrel (player) - willingly associates with and subtly supports abusers
  • Draconif (player) - willingly associates with and subtly supports abusers
  • UltraYeets (player) - willingly associates with and subtly supports abusers
  • Crass (player) - subtly supports abusers
  • Echo (player) - subtly supports abusers
  • Rise (player) - subtly supports abusers
  • Tidal (player, ex TSO TO) - subtly supports abusers, incredibly drama happy
  • Deceased (player) - subtly supports abusers, tales of them harassing others have floated around behind closed doors
  • Mia (player) (splatana player) - incest supporter
  • Raine (Sendou staff) - subtly power trips

Speaking out and holding community “leaders” and players alike accountable is a cool thing to do. I’m not in the community anymore and never plan to be given that it’s essentially a toxic wasteland full of horrible people and predators who deflect onto easy targets like myself, so I figured I’d pass along all the info I have for the betterment of it as a last act here. I’m also not including evidence, outside of what I put together while I was a community member, because the point of this doc is to hopefully spark conversation and clean up the community, if you wish to do so. This will also hopefully allow the many victims I’ve spoken to a chance to finally speak up if they choose to do so. I’m also not inclined to spend hours of my life providing for a community that has severely impacted my mental health over things that were, to be blunt, completely made up. I have a lot of information that has not been public, so I feel there’s no harm in sharing it with you all now if it helps you all create a healthier community. I tried to do my best from behind the scenes as a TO, but abusers, bullies, and predators have such a strong foothold in the community that it’s an impossible endeavor for me to personally continue. Please do better as a community.
