What is Illuvium Beyond?

Illuvium Beyond is a digital collectibles game built within the Illuvium universe. It's essentially a competitive collectible card experience where you collect, customize, and showcase "Illuvitars"—unique NFT images of Illuvials. Each Illuvitar can have distinct expressions, backgrounds, finishes, and accessories, creating billions of possible combinations.

The goal? Build your "Album" by slotting Illuvitars into collections, earn points to climb leaderboards, unlock rewards, and flex your customized profiles in the broader Illuvium ecosystem. It's fun, strategic, and tied to blockchain ownership, meaning your items are truly yours to trade or sell.

To play, you'll need an Immutable Passport or MetaMask wallet connected to the Immutable X network.

Buying D1SKs and Understanding NFTs

D1SKs are like loot boxes or packs that contain random Illuvitars and accessories. They're the primary way to acquire new items during active sales.

Where to Buy:

Head to the official Illuvidex (on illuvium.io or beyond.illuvium.io). Connect your wallet, browse available D1SKs, and click "Buy Now." There are two main types:

  • Standard D1SK: Costs about 499 FUEL.
  • Mega D1SK: Costs about 2,999 FUEL (offers better odds for rarer items).

FUEL is an in-game currency you can purchase directly through the Illuvium Illuvidex using ETH or other methods. Note that some promotional sales might only accept $ETH.

Sales Types:

  • Alpha Sales: Limited-time runs with special D1SKs (no gameplay advantage but extra flair).
  • Extended Sales: Longer availability after the alpha phase.
  • Promo Sales: Even shorter limited-time events, often with exclusive items or themes. These pop up occasionally and sell out fast—keep an eye on Illuvium's announcements.

Once a sale ends, those specific D1sks from that wave aren't minted anymore. You'll have to buy those D1sks or Illuvitars and Accessories from those D1sks from other players on the secondary market via the Illuvidex.

NFT Basics

Everything in Beyond—Illuvitars, accessories, and even some rewards—is an NFT (Non-Fungible Token). This means they're unique digital assets on the blockchain. You own them outright, can trade them peer-to-peer, and they can't be duplicated. Opening a D1SK "mints" these NFTs to your wallet. Trade on the Illuvidex for a marketplace fee.

Leaderboards and Rewards

Beyond isn't just about collecting—it's competitive!

Leaderboards

  • Overall Leaderboard: Tracks your total Album Points across all sets and waves. It's a global ranking of top collectors. Weekly rewards in $ILV.
  • Current Set Leaderboard: Focuses on the ongoing wave. Points here come from your performance in the latest collection. Leaderboards update in real-time, and top spots earn $ILV weekly as well as exclusive rewards at the end of each wave.

Rewards

  • Earn by completing collections, hitting milestones, or ranking high on leaderboards.
  • Types: Exclusive Illuvitars, accessories, emotes, skins, battle boards, and drone blasts.
  • Claim in $ILV or FUEL. For example, leaderboard prizes often include $ILV pools (e.g., 400 ILV weekly across ranks).

Stretch Goals

These are community or personal thresholds based on how many D1SKs are purchased and opened. Each D1SK counts as points toward unlocks—hit targets for bonus rewards like extra NFTs or in-game items. They're tied to your wallet's activity during sales.

Check the Rewards page on beyond.illuvium.io for current unlocks. Note that some rewards are soulbound to encourage long-term play.

Filling Out Your Album and Maximizing Points

Your Album is the heart of Beyond—it's a digital binder where you organize Illuvitars into themed collections.

How to Fill It

  • Open D1SKs to get Illuvitars and accessories.
  • Slot them into Album spots. Complete rows, sets, or milestones for bonus points and rewards.
  • Customize: Attach accessories, change expressions, and backgrounds to your Illuvitars. This isn't just cosmetic—it boosts their "Power Rating."

Maximizing Points

  • Power Rating Basics: Each Illuvitar has a base score based on rarity; tier (1-5) and stage (1-3), background tier (1-5) and stage (1-3), and finish (holo, glitched).
  • Boosts and Collections:
  • Bond accessories: These give a % bonus.
  • Complete collections for bonus album points.
  • Album Points = Sum of all customized Illuvitar Power Ratings + collection bonuses.

That's it! You're now ready to dive into Illuvium Beyond. Collect, customize, and conquer the leaderboards. If you have questions, join the Illuvium Official Discord and ask away!

What is Illuvium: Zero?

Illuvium Zero is an immersive city-building game set in the Illuvium universe, available on mobile and desktop. Manage resources, construct advanced buildings, scan the environment to extract biodata from Illuvials and research it to find blueprints.

Regions

  • There are 7 regions in Zero.
  • Depending on what region your land is on, you get different drop chances for your Illuvial-Biodata. (See table below with dropchances in %)
  • Depending on what region your land is on, you get a different Background ingame

Landplots

Each landplot was minted with a randomized distribution amount of fuel/element-sites and also with randomized placement of those sites on the landplot. (can check them on the Illuvidex)

There are 6 different tiers of land (T0-T5) where T0 is the free-to-play plot.

Ressources

  • There are 2 different resource types in Zero, elements and fuels. Those are split up into 3 different elements (Silicon, Carbon, Hydrogen) and 3 different fuels (Crypton, Solon, Hyperion).
  • Elements are needed to upgrade your structures and mint blueprints
  • Fuels are needed to upgrade high-level/advanced structures, scan for biodata, research blueprints and you can also burn your fuel

Structures

Structures are split into 5 different categories

Illuvials: Capture & Progression

Equipment & The Forge

What is Illuvium Overworld?

Illuvium Overworld is an open-world adventure game, inspired by creature-capture mechanics like Pokémon—but built on the blockchain.

In this game, you will:

  • Explore vast and diverse regions (7) 3 availables.
  • Capture Illuvials (unique creatures stored as NFTs).

  • Harvest resources and complete missions to progress.

Unlike traditional games, everything you capture or gather becomes a real NFT:

  • Use it across other Illuvium games (Arena, Zero, Beyond).
  • Trade or sell it on the official marketplace.

The main goal?
Explore different biomes, discover new Illuvials, upgrade your gear.

  • Free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store.
  • For the best experience, connect a crypto wallet (Immutable Passport or MetaMask).
  • As of September 2025, Overworld is in public post-beta.
  • An MMO version is in development—promising an even bigger leap forward!

Regions & Exploration

Overworld is divided into unique biomes, each with its own resources, Illuvials, and challenges.

How to travel:

  • Use the Portal to move between regions.
  • Upgrade your gear at the Forge to explore more efficiently.

Main Regions (as of 2025):

  • Sanctum Mesa:  is your base.
  • Crimson Waste: A red desert biome focused on speed and aerial exploration. High chance of Fire/Earth Illuvials.
  • Other regions: Brightland Steppes (Nature/Air), Abyssal Basin (Water.

Special Mechanic:

  • New regions are unlocked through codes discovered by players. Currently, 3 out of 7 regions have been unlocked, which is the maximum allowed for now.
  • The first finder gets 6 hours of exclusive access to capture rare Illuvials!

Illuvials: Capture & Progression

Illuvials are the NFT creatures you collect, battle with, and trade.

Autodrone Runs (ADR) let you instantly collect Illuvials without roaming the Overworld. You can choose your run type (Charged or Hyper), with chances to get rare variants like Holo or Dark Holo. It’s a fast, strategic, and accessible way to grow your collection and climb the leaderboards of the weekly bounty hunt.
Fuel cost:
- Charged Run: 99 Unified Fuels
- Hyper Run: 1,199 Unified Fuels

Traveling to a region has different costs depending on the stage of the region.
Stage 1: 24 Unified Fuels
Stage 2: 149 Unified Fuels
Stage 3: 899 Unified Fuels

Capturing Illuvials:

  1. Spot an Illuvial on the map or while exploring.
  2. Weaken it in an auto-battler fight (deploy your team, they fight automatically).
  3. Use a Shard to capture it. Success depends on:
  • Your dronechips

  • The Illuvial’s current rarity Tier 0-5 and stage 1-2-3
  1. Once captured, the Illuvial mints directly into your wallet.

Tiers & Stages:

  • Tiers 0–5 (rarity and strength).
  • Stages 1–3 (evolutions).

Affinities (5 types):

  • Air, Nature, Fire, Water, Earth.
  • Counter weaknesses (e.g. Water > Fire).

Classes (5 types):

  • Fighter (damage), Guardian (tank), Rogue (speed), Psion (control), Empath (healing).
  • Combine for synergies (e.g. 3 Fighters = bonus damage).

Evolutions:

  • Fuse 3x duplicates illuvial with specific level with Fuel to evolve Illuvials into next evolution stage 2-3.

Maximize Captures:

  • Upgrade Drones chips at the Forge.
  • Region-based spawn rates matter: e.g.
  • Crimson Waste gives more chance of certain Fire/Earth Illuvials.
  • Brightland Steppes Nature/Air
  • Abyssal Basin Water/Nature

Equipment & The Forge

Your tools are critical for success:

  • Equipment: A really important part is to upgrade your Magboots and Jetpack
  • Shard: Captures Illuvials. Upgrades increase success rate.
  • Drone: Scans and harvests resources.
  • Skins: Cosmetic upgrades crafted via Blueprints from Illuvium Zero and acquired in Overworld.

The Forge (Sanctum Mesa):

  • Upgrade gear with collected resources form different stage run 0-1-2-3
