We Value Togetherness
We believe that being a part of a team is one of the greatest experiences that one can have, and are connected around a common purpose. Sports are about people, and the people in the locker room play the most important part in shaping our experience. We understand that we are a product of the people around us, and that our shared experiences guide us in our journey. We know that only through helping those around us can we become our best selves.
We care about one another and demonstrate this in our interactions. We understand and value that each individual person brings something to the table, and plays a role in the success of our team.
In order to have successful relationships and be as strong as possible, we have to remain grounded in the values of honesty and trust. Our relationships will drive our performance and help us to be champions forever.

We Value Accountability
We believe that accountability is holding oneself and the team to its highest standards of behavior at all times, and critical to the success of a group. In order to achieve true accountability we must define our goals, establish standards, and continuously evaluate our progress to how well we are living out these standards.
In order to hold others accountable, one must first hold themselves accountable, by demonstrating it in their actions on a daily basis (#ProveIt). This starts in the classroom by being a great student and thriving to maximize one's opportunities, and can also include showing consistency in attendance to workout, open gym, and skill development opportunities.
Accountability also includes communication in our interactions with ourselves, our teammates, our coaches, and community. Sometimes this communication may be uncomfortable, but we believe that it will foster growth and help us to be better people and basketball players.

We Value Competing
We believe that every moment is an opportunity to compete to be better, and achieve victory. There are countless moments throughout the day that one can win, and we believe that if we maximize these, that we will be winners at basketball and at life. We emphasize competition in our practices, offseason workouts, and other daily endeavors in order to challenge ourselves to be the best that we can be.
We recognize that victory will not always happen easily, however, and that there will be plenty of setbacks. Knowing that adversity is an opportunity for us to grow will help us to keep pushing forward until we clear whatever barrier is in the way. Adversity can cause even the strongest teams and players to melt down, but if we do things together and continue to focus on having a next play mentality, we will grow from any failure.
Competition favors the go-getter, and we pride ourselves on being the more aggressive program. When opportunity knocks, we take the ball and get after it, putting ourselves in a position to attack and succeed.
#HawksFlyHigh #ProveIt
We Value Joy
We believe that basketball is the best game in the world and that we are truly blessed to be able to play, coach, and be a part of it. As a result, we incorporate joy and a positive spirit into our daily interactions as often as we possibly can. We feel that joy is a competitive advantage, and that the team that has more fun usually wins.
We recognize that “it is impossible to be special at something if you are not having fun doing it”. We embrace opportunities to have fun, be together, and compete with one another. This includes of course the big games, but also our daily practices, workouts, community events, and other activities.
Joy is present in our program through our celebrations of success. We celebrate our athletes through shoutouts and awards such as the Hammer, but also more importantly through how we talk to each other and make each person feel valued. We appreciate the experience that Greenfield Basketball provides us, and are determined to use our spirit to bring joy to ourselves, one another, and our community.

We Value Confidence
We believe that confidence comes as a result of the combination of the work that we put in to prepare, our trust and belief in ourselves and teammates, and the willingness to let it fly. Confidence is impossible to quantify, but one of the most important ingredients of a successful team.
We diligently prepare to succeed by taking advantage of opportunities to improve ourselves. Shots, skills, weights, film, and the classroom are all opportunities to build confidence and help us to trust our work when the lights are the brightest.
On and off the court, we encourage our players to “let it fly” and take ownership of their situations. On the court, we want to be aggressive and shoot the ball when we are in rhythm and open, and have no doubt that you will hear BOOM from the bench very shortly after when the ball goes in. Off the court, this means owning your circumstances by putting one’s best foot forward regardless of fears and anxieties related to failure or judgment.
We BELIEVE that we deserve the opportunities that we get because of the work that we have put in, and will never stop hunting more of the good stuff.
