Introduction
In Torchlight: Infinite, Carino is a hero character known for his ranged attack capabilities. The "Lethal Flash" is one of his hero traits, enhancing his combat skills. Players often refer to "Carino 2" when discussing the second variant of Carino's Lethal Flash trait, which offers unique abilities and playstyles.
For instance, some players have developed builds focusing on pure physical damage using the Split Shot skill, while others have explored Wilt-based builds or utilized skills like Ice Lances for rapid leveling.
In this guide we’ll be going over the wilt-based Ice lances

Upgrades checklist
Glove Penetration corrosion on chaos abyss was a noticeable upgrade
Reaping duration kismets micro and medium was a noticeable upgrade
Priceless crafted weapons was an extreme upgrade
Thunderspike tech was a extreme upgrade
Level 21 icelances was a noticeable upgrade
Hits per second is important More hits = more wilt
Rhythm timer = n (example .2 rhythm is 5 hits per second so n = 5)
Jump count/2 (rounded down) = x (example 10 jumps = 5 hits per n)
Projectile count = Y (1 projectile is 1 projectile)
n*x*y = hits per second (example .2 rhythm with 10 jump count and 5 projectile count is 5 * 5 * 5 = 125h/ps)
*Note when testing anything on this build adhere to the following to have a somewhat consistent test
Whenever you equip something new, relog or reload the zone at the portal before hitting the dummy if it’s energy based remember to check ur auras The game has really bad snapshotting issues
Since we’re projectile based try to not run towards or away from the dummy when you’re hitting it
(running to target -> more projectiles hit as it cuts the distance they need to travel this causes a misconception with projectile speed giving you more damage. Running away has the opposite effect)
I suggest blinking between two points consistently
Stare at your wilt stacks, since we’re an rng based wilt build sometimes your wilt stacks can spike very high or be very low
T1 Energy Shield/Erosion damage
T1 Reap ->Priority u want a high roll number if low Truth it
T1 Intelligence
T1 Affliction Effect
T1 %skill damage as base wilt damage -Priority

As you level replace your campaign gear with this gear
Weapons:
Two memory daggers you’re looking for high skill’s damage as base wilt damage
These will basically hard carry your build for awhile until you replace them when you’re ready to ascend into profound
Helmet: 1 or 2 curse hekates if it’s cheap
Chest:
You’re looking for as high additional ailment as possible on this piece
A corroded version of this will be your BIS endgame chest.
Ideal corrosions - 1.) vile 2.) additional ailment damage
Amulets:
You can use any of these but you’ll quickly upgrade out of them
Coldness tracer = high ailment effective speed
Decaying blessing = high erosion amp aura effect low aura comp
False gods = at least 2 x int rolls
Boots:
You’re just looking for high movement speed on these
A corroded version of this will be your BIS endgame boots even better than lonewalkers
Ideal Corrosions- 1.) Blur effect 2.) Stealth stab (gives weaken)
Gloves:
You’re looking for both high pen stacks and additional wilt damage on these
These could be replaced by ghost slaughters Endgame
Ideal corrosions - 1.) Penetration stacks 2.) additional wilt damage
Rings:
You can go for one double/triple blur chaotic ending or one traceless and one dream crafted with entangled pain
Blur is better than traceless imo
On the tracless you’re looking for .5 reap 2s cooldown on same target for the reap
This season it’s probably just better to get a double or triple blur chaotic ending until u can upgrade to a priceless ring
Both your endgame rings will most likely be priceless rings unless you’re doing an experimental route with maybe burning ice with cannot inflict freeze and winter but this is very expensive and unsure if the math is even that insane for the opportunity cost to fit it in
Ideal corrosions: 1.) reap 2.) whatever
Belt:
Two main options this league,
1.) speed
This is what you’ll wear in maps mainly if you can afford to lose damage
You want high blur effect, defense, and ele resist
2.) damage
A crafted belt going for a reap this is what you’ll be wearing for bosses etc
And helmet crafted or hekates vision(if you can only do 1 curse)
Main Skill:
(the activation is only for cooldown it doesn’t actually activate choose whatever is cheapest with highest cooldown)
*note for two curses you will need a source of +1 curse, you can decide between poisoned omen pet, +1 curse candle (ONLY EARLY CANDLE TOO IMPORTANT), or verbal abuse instead of more with less
Just a defensive option can be replaced with defensive barrier, frost shield, or another curse for more damage if you don’t have a curse on ring or necklace.
Auras:
The fourth aura won’t be achievable realistically until 90
Or this is preferred
For Seal conversion + restrain make sure both of the supports are
BASE LEVEL 20 (character level 90) or you won't be able to turn it on!
Deception
Windwalk (after plague nerf just stay windwalk) + subtle impact
Psychic
(Daze + More with less drop more with less later for verbal abuse for 2 curses)
Shadowmaster
(Dirt + Beyond Cure)
Use track instead of rhythm for mapping
(blink or frigid transmission *NOTE MULTISTRIKE IS ONLY FOR THE COOLDOWN REDUCTION)
Grudge gives paralyze defile gives curse effect
(could do cooldown over reaping agony I dont see a need for it)
(increased area is only for Off The Beaten track)
*note your skills/candles etc will be different depending on the content you are doing, specialization is always better than one static setup for a majority of builds in the game

(this can be swapped with blurry steps if u use first trait instead of second with like a +2)
(could use blinding over reaping agony)
Remember to have a source of flat lightning damage either on a slate or erosion magus to get tremble’s effect
Obviously precise restrains are preferred and selfishness is better than malleable ~ this was just taken current if you’re aura stack setup you go strength in numbers
You’ll need mana compensation on either your necklace or helmet to fit 4 50% auras

Basically the idea here is drop all defense for dps no defensive skill or any energy shield in the tree, you just need enough survival for his blast other than that you should survive

You’ll want a balance of defenses and offense. You’ll want enough defense to survive his dash attack.

Defensive skill (i went with delayed pain for injury buffer to help survive savage hits)
Then either Shackles (if you have a fast affliction application) or blackhole if you don’t have a fast affliction application - make sure you have a paralyze application
This is the normal setup for the build how it’s basically “intended” to do any content but there are definitely more “Specialized” setups i’ll go on about below.
On our first trait we can swap dart shot for shadow magazine at a damage loss but for automatic reloading instead of blinking. That will free up your blink slot for blurry steps or something else. It’s highly recommended to have a high level hero trait on the first slot to try and compensate for the loss of reload. An orange +2 or a red +2 hero trait will make this more plausible.
For a source of explode you can either go back to memory daggers (with the skill as wilt corrosion) or slap on praise for injury gloves, some people also go with the kismet for explode
It’s recommended you also pair this with skill area increasers such as eternity belt and soul eater candles
There’s not many build that can even come close to competing with blur movespeed abuse or freeze frigid transmission abuse. So with that being said i’ll run down the two routes you can go for extreme speed, although it’s very unnecessary since you’ll outrun the rates at which mobs can spawn into a map.
I know i’m really hyping this up but it’s true no other builds can even come close to this speed unless they are also blur related
How it works is we can abuse blur effect stacking with the sea fog belt
Here’s an example of candle mods that will then amplify this
You can also get a “dangerous” downside that can really ramp ur speed

negative(gives u ms but u take more damage)
You can combine this setup with the “lazy run” setup with blurrysteps instead of blink
But you’ll be even faster if u keep the blink since using ammo recharges the blink ability
Fast move speed and fast blinks mobs won’t keep up
*note this is clunkier since it’s based on hitting a mob also why builds like ring of ice cannot even come close to competing with the speed of “pure movespeed”
This can be achieved with ice shot (which will instantly freeze a mob it hits) on a second activation
With frigid transmission as your movement
This setup also seems to be particularly good at machines strategies since it will freeze the mobs for the mechanic

Strength in numbers aura supports
And enough compensation to only have stuff reserved on health instead of mana
You can get away with maybe swiftness with disciplined on mana
Magus Abuse
Go 3x magus on life maybe able to fit 4? Haven’t done the math
Keep Valerie's boots on not lonewalkers still phantom necklace
You’ll need heavy dot damage mitigation from this boss the defense layers i used are
Full defense (candle mod that gives u -additional dot taken based on ur block chance)
Erosion magus (gives - dot taken)
And 3x -20% elemental damage taken with decent resists
Just good damage
Blink for movement
If u do the mechanics u never die gg easy money
I suggest frigid transmission for this one since he has a circle you must be within to damage him, and blink is just a little too far of a movement
Other than that just have good damage and you should be fine!
Pedigree List
I will make a list here of what’s good/viable and you can decide for yourself You can now combine any setup of pedigree mods
Offensive List:
S tier: affix list
Dirty tricks: 1.338 multiplier with all ailments or 1.418 if frozen
Off the beaten track: +4 support skill level mana multi fixed at 95%
Off the beaten track can be dropped for dirty tricks with enough mana compensation
Forbidden power: 35% additional erosion damage -10% elemental resistance(ROUGH)
Subtle impact: 25% additional dot damage
Conductive: changes base numbed effect to 10% additional damage (100% additional at 10 stacks)
Winter: 50% additional damage at 100 frostbite but resets after enemy freeze can be combined with “cannot freeze” for 150% additional damage or extreme coldness to have both freeze and frostbite simultaneously
A tier: affix list
Daze: 40% CC effects & 20% additional ailment damage
Affliction: 30% additional affliction effect
Rushed: 30% additional damage
Beyond cure: 30% additional erosion damage
(you get this currently in shadowmaster tree for free)
Three birds with one stone: +2 projectile quantity (28.5% additional going from 7 to 9 projectiles
Impending: 30% additional damage ONLY if they’re alive for 1.25 seconds and within 10 meters
Endless fervor: have fervor +12 fervor effect (Only if ghost slaughter setup)
Knowledgeable: +10 empower skill level, +10 defensive skill level (If using blackhole + starstalker)
B tier: affix list
Open Wounds: 125% (41% additional to vile) critical strike damage against traumatized enemies The more crit u have the worse this is “more Wise)
Plague: 100% dot spread chance and 10% damage duration (interchangeable with windalk_
Windwalk: 25% additional dot damage ~~ Changed as of ss9
More with less: 30% additional dot damage -10% additional dot damage duration
(duration hurts wilt stacks)
Extreme Coldness: Allows you to have both frostbite and frozen status at the same time
Verbal abuse: +1 curse 10% curse effect
Dirt: 15% additional erosion damage 15% additional damage to life
Elimination: 18% culling
Flicker: 50% additional cooldown for mobility skills (very situational its for reloading faster for some weird setups that require it)
Frostbitten: 20% additional damage against frozen enemies
Peculiar vibe: 25% additional damage against enemies with elemental ailment
Reflection: 5% additional damage per aura that affects you

Barrier of radiance: cannot interrupt es recharge +50% charge speed (CAN GET ON CANDLE)
Adaption: converts 25% phys damage taken to ele damage +4% max ele res
Automatic upgrade: 20% attack/spell block chance +5% of both for every attack blocked recently(5 stack)
Kinetic conversion: 100% barrier gen per 5 metres moved refreshes barrier when gaining
