Coronavirus Hearken Engagement Workflow

There will be times when [engagement point person] or a reporter responds AND the question is asked on a show. These processes need to be somewhat independent of each other. When anyone answers a question, please cc [engagement point person] and [digital lead], who is taking the lead in updating our Q&A.

Phase 1: As Questions Come In  

If the question has already been answered or is straightforward

  • Write back with answer and disclaimer language: Please keep in mind that what is known about the virus and the disease it causes, COVID-19, is still evolving. This information does not constitute professional medical advice. For questions regarding your own health, always consult a physician.

If the question is seeking medical advice

Phase 2: Communication with Shows and Newscasts

[engagement point person]: Each morning, [engagement point person] will send potential questions to [producers]

Producers: At the end of each segment record, the producer will let [engagement point person] know which questions were answered.

  • At that point, [engagement point person] could follow up with a second email, pointing the question asker to the audio or a transcript.
