- The Party is Governed by a Leader and a[or two] Deputy Leader, both of whom are elected by all party members in good standing, in an election conducted by the [FPTP, Rank Ballot, etc]. They cannot be held by the same person.
- The Duty of the Leader and Deputy Leader[s] is to manage party membership, conduct internal elections, oversee the writing of a platform, manage party internal affairs, and conduct negotiations with other parties.
- Both the Leader and Deputy Leader[s] serve for one term before a leadership election is held.
- A leadership election must be held if either the Leader or Deputy Leader resigns, when a Vote of No Confidence (see point 2) is passed against one or both members of the leadership team, or when a term is completed.
- Leadership Elections and Votes of No Confidence must be conducted by the head moderator[or someone who is trusted and not running for any executive positions or a dedicated party clerk] of CMHOC.
- The Leader or Deputy Leader[s] may be removed by a Vote of No Confidence, hereafter referred to as a “VoNC.”
- Party Members may trigger a VoNC by submitting a petition signed by either 3 party members or half of the party’s MPs, whichever is higher.
- If a majority of members vote no confidence in the subsequent VoNC, a leadership election must be held, as according to Point 2.
- Any individual may be admitted into the party by the leadership, should they apply to join on the “Join a Party Thread.”
- An individual may not join the party if they are banned from CMHOC, or banned from the Liberal Democratic Alliance [Party] of Canada (see Point 4)
- If in agreement, the party Leadership may ban a party member from the Liberal Democratic Alliance [Party] of Canada for any reason, including but not limited to doxxing, bullying, harassment, racism, sexism, anti-semitism, and homophobia.
- The Party Leaders are responsible for negotiating coalition agreements with other parties. When an agreement is reached, it must be voted on by the entire party. To pass, a coalition agreement must reach 50% +1 votes in favour.
- To amend this document, a member of the party may bring forward a petition, with the amendment, and the same number of signatures required for a VoNC. Upon being presented with this petition, the Party Leadership must hold a vote on the amendment.
- To pass, the vote must receive 66% + 1 votes in favour, and at least 3 votes in favour. The Constitution cannot be repealed in its entirety.
