Cupertino Alliance
Good day,
A chairmanship election is planned for January 2021. The last election was planned within a month; this one won't. I must inform you that I have concluded that I have finished the goals that I was sought for and such it is vital for the alliance to endeavour a new direction. As such, I will formally not be seeking re-election. As a result of the decision, this election would be more outlined with debates and the works.
A few visioned teenagers came together and established this wonderful group on 28 January 2020. Designed as a pleasant but brief project, the alliance made history with various achievements and is one of the most well-known organizations in this community.
A turning point of this alliance was in April 2020; in-formalness raged on within the alliance. Our government passed the Parliamentary Practise Act, 2020, establishing proper decorum rules and ensuring that we set an example for newer micronationalists. We later adapted those rules with the 35 page Charter Act, 2020, as well as filling a majority of gray spots. Another turning point was with the Regional Sessions Act, 2020. What was a dream conceived 29 May 2020 came into reality in late September 2020 with the talented Sertor Valentinus, Daniel Roscoe, Joseph Peto, and other Ministers I must not name due to security, hosting sessions. We also had many smaller achievements, with the Cupertino - Humberlean meetup, video electorial graphics, improvements to MicroWiki pages, and many more. Our continued work led to many members being closer with each other, establishing diplomatic ties with each other and bonding friendships.
Though there are many achievements, we must not cover our mistakes. We still have problems; delays in the updating of material, inactivity between our member states, instability between our programs, etc. I am a human and I have my flaws, but I choose to look upon these them and use them to improve myself, as well as ask delegates to criticize or point problems with my government. I hope that micronationalists in the CA can see this and can work on fighting them, instead of being scared of them. I urge delegates and micronationalists to learn this vital leadership skill in the future.
January's election would be another turning point. If it leads to the demise of the alliance or not, that is not the point. My personal decision to not run for re-election forces the alliance to adapt like it did in April 2020, as well as urges micronationalists that nothing is a lifetime appointment. Whilst your code may state that your position is for life, you will receive a point of time where you don't feel excited in micronationalism anymore. Humans develop other interests and micronations need to accommodate it. I will be moving on to separate interests like art and other hobbies.
My final date as chair would be 15 February 2021, no matter if you like it or not. Fear not, my government is prepared for projects like the Noted project, the Cupertino Area of Natural Interest, as well as we plan for a revival of the Cupertino Factbook. Our government will also be working for a smooth and democratic election and a continuous and stable transition of power. I plan to stay on in the alliance for the foreseeable future as a smaller role; this does not mean that I will be managing the alliance on behalf of the next chair.
I ought not to make the same mistake in the February 2020 Aenderian election. Delegates have known that I have been listing to Hamilton by the gifted Lin-Manuel Miranda (I have even included it in the joint statement I made regarding Tizian.) One Last Time, describing George Washington's decision to not run for re-election despite Alexander Hamilton's resistance I think is a perfect representation of the alliance's views on it. Opposition for me to not run for Chair again but rest assured this change would be best for the future.

Thank you for your continued support for this alliance, else we've given up a long time ago. I had the highest honour to be your most humblest and obedient public servant, and I wish good luck to whoever wins the upcoming election.
