ANTI-RACISM RESOURCES
“It is not enough to be not racist, you must actively be anti-racist” - Angela Davis
This list of resources is intended to help white people gain a deeper understanding of racism and the anti-racist work that needs to be done. To be anti-racist is to be actively opposed to racism. It means confronting our white privilege and admitting our place in a system of oppression. Having difficult conversations with our white friends, families, co-workers and communities. Calling out those who abuse their power and holding them accountable. Showing up for our Black* friends, now and always. Striving for racial justice.
Read to act. Read to organise.
We are all (un)learning at our own pace. But when the consequences of our ignorance are bound up in the continued discrimination, violence, and murders of Black people, we must work harder.
It is not the job of our Black friends to educate us on any of this.
This is by no means an exhaustive list and we will continue to update it over time. If you have suggestions, additions and comments please email us at pplottwistt@gmail.com
*Whilst Non-Black POC also suffer from racism, Black folks are suffering disproportionately under white supremacy and right now they need our attention.
