"Don't just post… post"

Hi!Β This is a partial list of orgs that support volunteer outreach via postcards or lettersΒ to potentially important voters in the 2024 U.S. national and state elections, including registered Democrats, likely Democratic voters, voters of color, young voters and voters in states where voting is suppressed.

As of September 16, this document is no longer being updated. Some campaigns below may have concluded for the year.Β Mobilize.us continues to list virtual and in-person postcard- and letter-writing parties here, or browse the main siteΒ for other volunteering opportunities.

Some places to start if…

  • …you're not sure how much capacity you'll have:Β You can adopt as few as five addresses at a time from Vote ForwardΒ and Postcards to Voters, and Activate AmericaΒ will help reassign any addresses you don't complete.
  • …money is an object: Vote ForwardΒ has free letter kitsΒ (envelopes, letters and postage or just postage) for certain campaigns (the deadline to request a kit is October 1). If you're a mom, MomsRisingΒ covers supplies and postage. Alabama 2nd Congressional District Postcard ProjectΒ provides postcards and can provide postage if needed.
  • …you like group activities:Β Mobilize.usΒ lists virtual and in-person postcard- and letter-writing parties here.

Postcards provided; postage provided if needed, but BYO if you can

Mail on October 7

After decades of racial gerrymandering, Alabama voters won a court battle and, in 2023, new Congressional voting maps were created. With a 48.7% Black voting age population, the district was drawn to give Black voters the opportunity to select a candidate that will represent their priorities and values. LWV and NAACP are committed to ensuring that voters are empowered with the knowledge and tools that they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

Postcards can be written between now and September 30 and will be held to be mailed out on October 7.
