Event Description:
As we all know, there’s quite a lot of debate regarding China, and how the West as a whole wants to approach them, and with the increased intel and cyber capacities of them, we thought it could be a good idea to create an event with China as the principal foreign agent. The main challenges we wanted to present are tackling crises, such as these. The UK had submarines from another country recently, and with US/China rivalry, we chose to create an event revolving on this entire conversation.

Final Grade: C
Category One: Now, this is a place where everyone should improve. I particularly appreciate the National Security Council for giving me some unique solutions, but the frequency of it was low, however I believe people more than the President and VP should be taking actions and I feel if more members of the Cabinet took individual actions, it would’ve been great. Further, apart from Adith, I have not seen even a single person from the Congress involved in this as Leaders. Neither the Speaker nor the committee chairs, nor the Senate Majority, that was frankly put depressing, on such an important event. Next time, please be involved in such events. This is gonna be my take of it.
Category Two: With this, we do believe the evaluation of this category was pretty tough, and a reason on why the Debrief got delayed, so yes, as I said earlier, I saw only a few leaders making press, but I would have loved if the Senate Majority got involved, the House and Senate worked on sanctions, or anything. It looked like, if I can say so, a one sided contribution, excluding Darth who got the new angle there. We also saw Ninjja’s team come up with some creative solutions, so that gives them that score.
Category Three: If I am very very fair objectively, this was something I really appreciated about this event. In the beginning, I’d put an update and we’d have a fair share of press on. Props to Darth for taking the UNCLOS angle, haven’t seen anyone do it and Adith for producing an insane amount of press on this thing. As much as I loved the fact that we had loads of press and reactions, it is indeed sad that nothing came towards the end, I hope to see some post-event articles on it.
Category Four: In this area, I expected some form of sanctioning or repairing to be sanctioned, some resolutions or anything in Congress, however the only Congressional Activity I saw was a long Bill proposed by Adith. I wished for more bi-partisan work, it just sounded like one side (GOP) doing everything when the Legislature would have done things, and this is why I have decided to give this category the low grade.
Overall: So yes, this was my first event, and indeed I have to thank Milk for being such an awesome Head, who aided me with some elements of the planning but left it to me to run the whole event. I especially feel happy to see a lot of activity right there. The beginning of the event was very active, and everything went above great, however in the middle of the event, we saw lower activity levels, and we were forced to close the event down due to inactivity, so that was something we needed to address. I have spoken further on the different grading cards, and cheers folks!
