WRITER COMMENTS:
We are writing this document to further call out Sheherformizuki, Its primary supporters, and their negatives.
This is to bring awareness to the movement from another perspective, previously we detested open discussion and critique on the movement, as it would lead to unnecessary arguments and further harassment. But now, we are more than willing to share our experiences and the experiences of others.
This document was not made in bad faith, to elicit harassment, etc. But made to call out the wrongdoings of both the movement and some of the people who support it. We want to be vocal about these issues before they can be fully normalized.
This document was written by Monnie, the edited version was written by Shizu, and the finalized and posted version was written by Tori. (Kim’s small contribution; please do not cherry pick through this doc and read carefully until the end before jumping to random conclusions)
Other editors and contributors will not be named as per request.

STARTING TRANSPHOBIA
On June 20th, twitter user @timelyharmony_, who we will address as Rain/Rainstorme, quoted a tweet from the official ENsekai account in which Mafuyu's 5th Focus event ‘Reeling in the lights’ was announced.
It was an informative thread, a thread that called all pjsekai fans (Mizuki fans primarily) to action, claiming that it was necessary for Mizuki to use she/her pronouns strictly and explaining why.
This belief stems from the idea that Mizuki used she/her pronouns in beta, and should reuse them again, but the only known proof of this is KANADE calling Mizuki by she/her pronouns. This does not imply nor confirm Mizuki personally agrees or disagrees with this choice, as Kanade is under the impression that Mizuki is a cis girl and would most likely use she/her on Mizuki as a result.
(screenshot of the ENsekai beta)
And again, to take other characters’ words on Mizuki (especially since they are unaware and simply just assuming) as fact for Mizuki’s character is illogical, so as of now, Mizuki has no canonical BETA pronouns.
Within Rains thread, subtle hints of transphobia can be noticed, such as Rain being adamant on the fact that binary trans representation cannot exist without binary pronouns.
Rain doubles down on this, openly implying she does not view binary trans characters as proper representation of trans people if they do not have binary pronouns.
Rain, again, claims that the past fandom interpretation (non binary) of Mizuki or her headcanon of Mizuki somehow hating neutral terminology (Never explicitly stated nor implied) is a good reason to justify denying binary trans representation that isn’t packaged alongside binary pronouns as good representation.
She even goes as far as saying calling Mizuki by neutral terminology exclusively is degendering Mizuki, but again, the idea that Mizuki used she/her personally is ambiguous, and Mizuki has never canonically (nor has been implied to be) showed or stated any dislike towards neutral terms.
(The mods of the sheherformizuki server later on confirm that they believe she/her on Mizuki exclusively is mandatory because most trans women would use she/her, using the majority to define the minority. This invalidates binary trans women who do not use binary pronouns.)
Now this obviously is transphobic, a trans woman does not need to use she/her exclusively to be a woman. A trans woman could use he/him pronouns strictly and you still would have no right to think of him as a man. The same applies to everyone else, cis or not.
But it does not stop there, The movement has managed to normalize the “Gender = pronouns” ideology. Solidifying it as fact simply because the original thread managed to put big, bold, pretty words around the deeper meaning so nobody would think much of it.
Posts that include “Mizuki is a GIRL, so use she/her as intended,” “Mizuki using they/them doesn’t make sense, Mizuki is a girl,” and more along the lines of that are a normal thing now, a multitude of posts daily that claim women who use pronouns besides she/her are not really women would manage to get lots of likes within days or hours, that was the new norm, the few people who openly detested such ideas were labeled bigoted and hateful.
And again, pronouns do not equal gender. You can advocate for whatever pronouns you want for Mizuki all you like, but involving Mizuki’s gender as if it is tied to what pronouns they use or the pronouns you believe they should use is nonsensical and will almost always lead to intense transphobia.
Few examples below vv
People are under the false impression that they are protecting trans women by spouting such ideology, that they are protecting trans girl rep through thinly veiled if not open and about transphobia. And might you mutter the big, old “Is this really okay?” You are bigoted beyond universes.
Whether Rain encouraged this behaviour or not is yet to be proven true or false. But judging from how openly the server she owns allows blatant transphobia (such as denying the fact that enby people can face misgendering) to run amongst her server could play a role in figuring out her true values.
HARASSMENT
To say this movement had no negative influence is to tell lies on lies.
The initial claim was that sheherformizuki was for proper binary trans representation, as we’ve discussed before. But as the movement grows and evolves, so do the problems.
I will reiterate this again, Mizuki is not uncomfortable with neutral terminology. Never was, and most likely never will be. It was never explicitly stated, nor subtly implied. So using they/them pronouns exclusively on Mizuki is objectively no issue, no matter how much it comforts or annoys you.
But that changed much too quick, people had began grouping those who use they/them pronouns on Mizuki (whether exclusively, or more than they use she/her) alongside those who outright see Mizuki as a boy and use masculine terminology on Mizuki. Others began calling for equal amounts of harassment for the two groups, and harassment there was.
Threats of all kinds were being sent towards those who didn’t use she/her on Mizuki (exclusively or failing to fluctuate between they/she equally) in favor of they/them and other neutral terminology. Many people began to recieve threats involving Rape, Molesting, Death, Dox threats and etc.
It had even gotten to the point where Monnie, who was falsely accused of transphobia (and lesbiphobia) due to their usage of they/them exclusively on Mizuki, was sent CSEM links and images.
These threats given to various people were never addressed by the primary creators of sheherformizuki, sometimes these incidents were even praised by them because they would believe that the people being sent threats were open transphobes for disagreeing with the movement or using they/them for Mizuki exclusively, and thus, deserved to receive such messages.
Sheherformizuki had began to harass jp artists, but not the ones who genuinely believe Mizuki to be a boy surprisingly.
Artists (primarily CN/JP) were being told to die or that they should be murdered if they didn’t hyperfeminize Mizuki in their works or emphasize Mizuki's identity to an obscene degree. This was and still is a weird new rule they are forced into, most were open about acknowledging Mizuki as AMAB and how it wasn’t ever a sensitive topic, so the sudden change had gradually been causing artists to have to apologize constantly, sometimes even for past/older works.
Example vv
(The meme the artist redrew was called “Distracted Boyfriend.” They were not calling Mizuki a boy anywhere in this picture, simply putting the caption of the original meme, they must not have been aware + little addition the artist here is a minor, so they could be as young as 13 and the harassment they are receiving is quite brutal such as death threats, this obviously makes things worse on the sheherformizuki warriors’ case)
Another example vv
(The artist was pointing the differences in AFAB vs AMAB anatomy between Ena and Mizuki in their personal artstyle, it was not in bad faith and was just something they thought up.)
vv User later on accuses the artist of being openly and proudly transphobic, this caused the artist to delete the work and apologize for something they did not understand was apparently “wrong.”
This did not work however and the artist continued to be harassed for some time.
This confirms sheherformizuki cannot identify transphobia from their mild annoyance. None of the victims of harassment were genuinely transphobic, and the ones who are (openly or subtly) haven’t been touched.
THE “MISCONCEPTIONS”
As written before, there have been numerous counts of transphobia within the movement and its top supporters. But what about addressing it?
All the “Girl = she/her” posts, Rain's own transphobia, the harassment towards those who use neutral terminology on Mizuki, at what point did sheherformizuki address and clear up the misconceptions and issues?
In a summary, never. Because there were evidently no misconceptions at all, everything written prior was the state of fact for sheherformizuki, up until it wasn’t.
When we had joined the official sheherformizuki server to further question the ethics of the movement. We knew openly criticizing the movement abruptly was no way to approach, so we lingered in the server for a while as we created a new mini-document in which the views, concerns, and opinions of us and others were listed.
But before we could finish the document and send it as a suggestion, Shizu had her devices taken away for some time, she was the only one who had access to the document and so we were left with no choice but to confront the situation without her.
We had dropped our suggestions swiftly, and as expected the server did not take them as well as we hoped, but they still managed to be decent people about it. Another friend had joined in later to aid us in our explanations and try to help the mods see eye to eye with us.
Within this conversation, we questioned the entire movement as a first thought, trying to understand if it was truly all a misunderstanding and that they did not intend, nor agree with the way the movement was heading.
As a response, we were told that the movement had no room for critique, claiming that any and all objections were transphobia and that it was set in stone.
A friend of ours argued further on the topic and the vehement transphobia behind the movement, and whether it was intentional or not. And that was when we got a change of answers.
At the accusations of transphobia, the movement turned from “she/her exclusively” to “she/they is okay but use she/her more.” The mods claimed that this was the initial message all along which makes no sense.
The movement tends to fluctuate between definitions to better fit arguments, but there is genuinely no leading evidence to say that they were okay with she/they all along. All the people who had been harassed, all the stereotypes being perpetuated, how they had never bothered to take initiative and address the blatant transphobia until someone called them out on it. There was genuinely no defense behind the idea that “sheherformizuki” was only for the ingame story, and that it didn’t apply to the real people playing pjsekai.
So we had called quits and pretended to understand the situation as if we’d agreed, deeming communication as impossible. And frankly? It was. The mods believe they are exempt from critique because they themselves are trans and that they believe just their identities makes them the perfect candidates for leading the movement or that any disagreements is rooted in proud transphobia.
We had made them aware of the issues and troubles, and asked “what’s next?” in reference to what they should do about it, and in return we were told that there was no room for improvement, and that the movement was okay as it was.
This confirms that the issues listed prior and the issues that are to be listed were intentional, and this could further imply that said behaviour was encouraged.

TARGETED HARASSMENT
Within the server, Monnie had been a recurring but short-lived topic. Most of which were just Rain or others telling them to die or just calling them transphobic in general.
Now we usually wouldn’t care, as the group cannot identify transphobia from minor annoyances so we believed Monnie was being singled out so many times at random due to annoying them (Rain primarily) and such.
But it had come to our attention that Monnie (and their friends) were being targeted, they were actively telling other server members Monnie was transphobic for no reason. Even going as far as to say the false transphobia allegations Monnie received some time ago were valid, despite knowing those false allegations were the reason Monnie had been sent CSEM.
Now this reasonably set off alarms, so we looked further into the server, only to find that Rain had begun comparing Monnie (and some others) to people like Adolf Hitler, Jeffrey Epstein, The Klu Klux Klan, etc.
They even let one of the server members order a server with 1k members to harass one of Monnie’s friends and get them banned from a server of which they were on very good terms with for absolutely no reason but pettiness and ‘retribution’, even through fabricating a lie and twisting explanations to make them seem horrible
This deeply discomforted us, and it should discomfort any normal person, yet nobody was calling Rain out on how weird it was to joke about the people and groups listed prior, how weird it was to want over a thousand people to harass one person for the uncanny fun of it. None of these issues were called out, only encouraged further, others joined in to make jokes of their own as well.
These “jokes” included calling Epstein a shotacon (your stance on fiction doesn’t matter, its common sense to just not joke about a real child rapist and claiming he was just into certain fiction.), calling Monnie a pedophile and comparing them to Epstein/EDP, claiming that the sheherformizuki antis (who are not transphobes and are just concerned people) were pro-Hitler, and apart of the Klu Klux Klan.

CLOSING STATEMENT
We will repeat this again, this doc was not made with ill intent, We had initially opted to explain how the movement can be improved, but many agree that it should be stopped entirely and recreated in a way that does not cater to personal feelings over objective fact, by better people, and by better standards.
Rain and her people are aware that her movement is incredibly disorganized, and that her need for Mizuki using she/her comes from projection and want of control rather than genuine concern, but will not address it further.
They, as a group, have constantly ignored those who want to help make it better and thus have proved they will not change and are not willing to change.
Thank you for taking the time to read up until here, we have provided a strawpage to ask any further questions. We are also open to critique and or additions to this discussion.
