CANSensor manual for 3.0 TFSI
The device is designed to display the current parameters of the engine and gearbox. Parameters are displayed only when the engine is running. It turns on automatically after turning on the ignition. Connection to OBDII port
There are three buttons on the screen: Left, Center, Right. To scroll back or forward, you need to short press the Right and Center buttons. To display the maximum value, press and hold the Left button but not more than 2.5 seconds. When holding the Left button for more than 2.5 seconds, all the maximum parameters are reset.
If you hold the right button for more than 2.5 seconds, it switches to an additional list of parameters
Main menu
On the left side – fuel regulating valve %
On the right side – fuel low pressure bar
On the left side – specified fuel rail pressure bar
On the right side – actual fuel rail pressure bar
retards for all cylinders display 0.0.00.0.00.0 retard value is rounded to an integer i.e. if in the 4th cylinder the retard is -3.75 degrees, then the screen will show 0.0.00.4.00.0
in this group retards only displayed up to 9 degrees, if more it will show 9.
The current indicators are displayed without fixing the values; to display the MAXimally fixed retards, short press the LEFT button. When holding the LEFT button for more than 2.5 seconds all maximum values will reset to 0.
Bars – Boost
On the left side – actual compressor pressure bar (or PSI)
On the right side – specified compressor pressure bar (or PSI)
Above on the led grid – retards
IIIIIIIIII retard in the first cylinder
IIIIIIIIII retard in the second cylinder
IIIIIIIIII retard in the third cylinder
IIIIIIIIII retard in the fourth cylinder
IIIIIIIIII retard in the fifth cylinder
IIIIIIIIII retard in the sixth cylinder
IIIIIIIIII retards in the second, fourth and sixth cylinder (FOR EXAMPLE)
If a retard was made in any cylinder, the corresponding LED lights up and remains on until reset - a short press of the LEFT button and at the same time display shows the maximum boost values.
On the left side – intake air temperature
Center – engine oil temp
On the right side – transmission oil temperature
Bars – Boost
If there are retards more than -30 then the leds will remain on the scale, by pressing the left button you can see the amount of retards, If there are no retards, then pressing the left button displays the maximum fixed boost
On the left side – intake air temperature
On the right side – engine oil temp
Bars – Boost
If there are retards more than -30 then the leds will remain on the scale, by pressing the left button you can see the amount of retards, If there are no retards, then pressing the left button displays the maximum fixed boost
On the left side – intake air temperature
On the right side – EGT
Bars – Bypass
On the left side is the actual compressor pressure (X.XX format in bar) (or PSI)
In the center - the position of the valve bypass RFP_AV (rounds to an integer value)
On the right is the ignition angle (up to 10 degrees displays x.x above - only an integer)
Bars – retards
On the left side is the actual compressor pressure (X.X format in bar) (or PSI)
On the right is the MAF (grams per second)
Bars – retards
In the center – ethanol content

FANs control. Press Left key to change speed of fan – aut – auto control by ECU, A1 - speed of fans depending of car speed (100% when car speed from 0 to 7mph and from 7mph control by ECU) and 100% - speed of fans.
pump control. Press Left key to change speed of pump – aut – auto control by ECU, A1 - speed of pump (when the intake temp is less than +20C and when the bypass is open more than 60%, then the pump operates at 10%; when the intake temperature is more than +20C and the rpm is less than 3000, then the pump works at 33.5%; when the rpm is more than 3000 and the bypass is closed by less than 60%, then the pump turns on at 100% and works for another 10 seconds after the rpm drops or the bypass opens.) and 100% - speed of pump.
Logging in microSD card. Press Left key to start log. Press ANY key to Stop log. If there is no card, the screen will display no cArd. Each time the data is written to one file (LOG.CSV), data is written by adding a table, i.e. nothing is deleted or overwritten
Bars – Boost
* - if temperature more than 1000C it shows like .00 (for example 1120C – on display You will see .12)
If you hold the right button for more than 2.5 seconds, it switches to an additional list of parameters
Being in this list of parameters, the Main parameters are not fixed and are not recorded. To switch to the Main parameter list, hold down the Central button for more than 2.5 seconds.
Being in the Main parameter list, the scale always displays the current value of the compressor pressure (10 LEDs light up proportionally to boost from 0 to 1.4 bar)
For the correct display of maximum results before each race, it recommend to reset all maximum results to hold for more than 2.5 seconds Left button.
