--- General Build Progression/Progression Notes ---
Early Mapping
In the early mapping of stage of the game our main goal is to get Pyroshock Clasp/Berek's Respite as soon as possible. LISTEN! WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE CHAIN FROM ORB OF STORMS (FOR CULL) UNTIL YOU HAVE A BEREK'S RESPITE.
I 100% recommened Power Charge on Critical for Orb of Storms. Also for auras, you don't need Determination out the gate OR Purity of Elements. Your Phys is solved from Shaper of Flames/Pyroshock and Purity is to get rid of elemental ailments
First Milestone -> The CI Swap
Our first major goal that we are looking for is to swap to CI as soon as possible. Our CI swap gives us so much survivability early on that it is far and away our main goal.
We will need all 5 of the pieces below to CI Swap.
> Incandescent Heart. This is a cornerstone of the build, one of the most useful uniques for our purposes and its extremely cheap always. This is huge for the CI Swap because it gives you 25% ele to chaos and with CI that means it applies a .75 modifier
to all ele damage from hits.
> Zealot's Oath. This is a keystone mastery on the left side of the tree right next to arcane potency that converts our life regen to ES regen. This is a huge layer of regen since we gain around 300+ base life regen from our stone golem.
> Ethereal Feast/Ghost Reaver. This is a four passive point combination on the right side of the tree, just below CI, that gives us our ES leech, and doubles our maximum amount. This scales quite well with increases in maximum es leech per second
since ghost reaver doubles that, and this is our primary layer of regen for a very long time.
> Wrath/Discipline. This is your aura set up for CI that is required. (I suppose you could drop Wrath) Discipline is absolutely necessary because it gives us such a massive amount of ES early that we will be reliant on until later when we get more passives
and better gear.
> Armor/ES gear in all slots. This is wildly necessary because the mastery that we are getting from the Faith and Steel cluster on the left side of tree just above the power charge/endurance charge, gives us an ass ton of armor and ES for a single passive
point. This is one of the most efficient uses of a point in the entire tree.
Once we have all of this in place we can now click Chaos Innoculation on the passive tree!
Second Milestone -> Aegis + Other Upgrades
Our next major goal is to get Aegis Aurora + Tempest Shield. We will ultimately be dropping purity of elements at this point because while it is nice, tempest shield is 10000x better. We will also drop Discipline and take Determination for the armour,
because we will get a massive amount of ES on block because of it. Your mana cost/efficiency will absolutely a pain in your ass at this point.
Recommendations to solve mana:
> Mana Regeneration Rate tattoos on small intelligence passives.
> A mana regeneration rate roll on a ring/amulet.
> - Mana Cost of Non-Channeling Skills enchant on ring (This is absolutely required).
> Mana Mastery for 10% reduced mana cost of skills.
Other Upgrades At this point
> 5-Link for Increased Critical Damage. This is 150 fusings you should absolutely be able to 5 link at this point, this is a huge DPS upgrade.
> Anoint your Amulet. Anointing Deflection is a great call at this point. It will give you Endurance Charges which is a massive layer of defense + More Chance to Block Attacks which is more survivability.
> Ravenous Passion. Good ol Ravenous Passion. This is kinda expensive at the beginning of the league but goddamn does this helm fucking slap. Not only does it satisfy our Armor/ES problem, it gives us strength because attributes are aids AND it
gives us an unreal amount of damage from the rage and berzerk.
HEY! Look, Berzerk is a fucking good skill, we get great uptime on it and you should use it every time you fight a boss and you can just spam cast. ITS FUCKING GOOD, USE IT.
> Alternatively to Ravenous Passion you may look to get a Crown of the Inward Eye for even more survival. But at this point, you should be borderline immortal.
Third Milestone -> Your First 20 Divine
With your main upgrades out of the way its time to work towards spending our currency on some of our bigger upgrades. This will include things like a 6-link, Awakened Gems, Ashes of the Stars, etc. Ofc, I will give you the order that I recommend you
pursue, and this should alllow you to stairstep your way to completing this milestone. Of course, you can do this however you prefer.
> A level 21/20 Lightning Conduit.Fairly easy to get, should be decently cheap, is just a nice minimal upgrade that will be required later.
>A Watcher's Eye with Lightning Pen. A nice inexpensive upgrade that gives us 15 pen.
> Eldritch Implicits on gloves. These will provide a massive boost to damage since they will give you 11 Lightning Pen, Unnerve and it will allow you to take the Lightning Mastery for Critical Strike Chance against enemies with Lightning Exposure.
LISTEN! Do not take the Lightning Mastery for Critical Strikes against Exposure UNTIL YOU HAVE AN EXPOSURE SOURCE.
> 6-Link. 6 link is a huge upgrade but be careful it will way up your mana cost, (It will probably have to be Inspiration).
> Runegraft of the Fortress. This will probably be an ultra pain in the ass for you since stats are already toxic as fuck on this build. But if you can fit it, this is a huge increase in your survivability. (You will probably need to down level gems).
> Ashes of the Stars. Ashes is just our best in slot by far and it gives us SO much, it is also required for allowing us to swap off Shimmeron later.
> Qualitying Your Gems. You definitely want to quality your golems, Arcane Surge.
> 5% Action Speed on Boots. You can do this whenever. But its 5% free damage.
Shimmeron. Lets talk about this PoS wand.
Here is the deal with Shimmeron. This is an extremely good wand. It gives us a ton of damage for free, it gives spell block, and it caps our crit. It's just extremely good for the wand slot. HOWEVER, THE DOWN SIDE IS A GALACTIC MEASURE
OF FUCKING PURE TOXICITY. The Degen is absolutely nasty as fuck, it's brutal against bosses with degens and realistically, if you can avoid running it, I would recommend just getting the best +1 wand you can find. However early, this will probably be
fairly difficult. You can take Shimmeron whenever, however I would recommend it after you have gotten your golems to 20 + the ES regen Mastery.
Fourth Milestone -> Major Upgrades Before Mageblood
With our first 20 Divine out of the way its time for our major upgrades. These are going to range from not too expensive to quite expensive. These will bring you to the point where you are ready to start farming your mageblood.
> Awakened Gems. Awakened Elemental Focus and Awakened Lightning Damage are absolutely required since they give us +1 to levels.
> Militant Faith Timeless Jewel. This is one of the most important upgrades in the entire build because this jewel can actually give some insane values. Not only do we get insane damage from Inner Conviction we can also get reduced mana cost
per 10 devotion which is absolutely one of the things that I recommend. Also, we can get other things like increased effect of non-damage ailments (so we can drop breath of lightning), and we can also get all resistances to help with suffix stat.
The one that is in the current PoB is really nice since it gives 14% reduced mana cost of skills.
> 6/6 Replica Reckless Defense. This is a really good jewel defensively that honestly is way more worth than any of the rare jewels. Damage comes from everywhere in this build, but block can be a bit more difficult to get.
> Divining Ashes to 30% Quality. This step is necessary to get an extra 13% more damage on Lightning Conduit from the quality increase.
> +2 Incandescent Heart. This is fairly easy to obtain, and you can buy a non-6L one for cheap and then corrupt 6-Link it. I will have a video on how to do this soon.
> +1 Power Charge Ravenous Passion. This is expensive :)
> Watcher's Eye Upgrade. This is honestly up to you. Pen + Block from determination is a good choice as well, you could also go with pen + crit on wrath, really whatever you like.
Fifth Milestone -> Mageblood
This is pretty much the final step in the character. There are A LOT of ways to do this, I haven't totally decided on which is best. But this is the version that I would probably recommend.
> Flasks are up to you, your options for suffixes are Crit %, Armor %, Avoid Shock % (For Stormshroud), Movement Speed %, Curse Reduction, Avoid Stunned, % Health Regen, % All Ele Res. There might be others but those are the main ones.
Cluster Jewel/Thread of Hope
> This is going to be up to you. There are so many options here its hard to say which is better I haven't really had time to PoB it at all. You can Thread of Hope Breath of Lightning/Heart of Thunder, and then use the extra points to take a cluster Jewel.
You can pick up Overshock on a cluster jewel and skip the thread of hope. My Final PoB is the setup that I went with, it is far squishier, but I wanted more damage.
Final Upgrade Choices
> Next I would look to craft your ring. The one I have in the item set is my current one. This ring can be quite expensive, because you need to veiled chaos spam a cogwork ring base, until you hit % mana, and then fracture the ring. After you spam with
stat essence till you get triple res + stat.
> Finally you could to add a Frenzy Ralakesh/Soul Ascension.
-T17 Map Regex-
This one is a bit rippy still and you will need a ton of damage to deal with shit like Maven.
"!a ra|kn|fe a|lati|o al|'v|ur$|acl|rune|gen|net|pet|tota|wni|lm|lier|ever|pin"
-T16 Map Regex-
This one should be fine for preventing bricking mods on t16s.
"!d en|eec|ur$|gen|coo|o al|h el|ail"
- Potential Aura Options -
> Flesh and Stone (Sand Stance ofc)
> Zealotry
> Vitality
> Purity of Elements
- Getting Rid of Shimmeron -
In order to get rid of Shimmeron we need to get our Lightning Conduit to Level 26 WITH a 30% quality on it from Ashes. (You could also do a 27% Ashes and get a 21/23 LC skill gem). This is because, once we have it at level 26 if we get a +1 wand,
and it levels our Lightning Conduit to 27, we get an extra 1% more damage per 5% of shock on the enemy. This gives the +1 wand just enough edge to outdamage Shimmeron. For anyone asking how to craft it. I am not a crafter :( I'm sorry I can't help
you.
Sources of Levels -> +2 from Incandescent Heart, +1 from Awakened Added Lightning Damage, +1 from Awakened Elemental Focus, +1 from Ashes of the Stars, +1 from a corrupted skill gem (Level 26 At this point), +1 from Rare Wand to hit lvl 27.
- For My Final Setup -
POB: https://pobb.in/FVltfIhVbiOx
> I have Determ/Vitality on my merc which is why it's not in the gems. (Not Required)
> I went with Mastermind of Discord Forbidden Jewels.
> Eventually I will push for +1 Frenzy Soul Ascension.
> I moved my Timeless Jewel to the left near The Agnostic, It's nice in the middle because you get a lot more devotion, but then you lose int (Which matters for tattooing) and then once you get a cluster it loses a ton of Devotion. Either probably works.
> Berek's Respite ^7is required. Dropping it is total nonsense as it is all of your clear and it is phenomenal.
--- Final Notes ----
> Make sure you keep Culling Strike/Swift Affliction at Level 1, you might have to down level Ice Golem to keep up with Dex Requirements.
> You might have to down level Bezerk/Molten Shell to keep up with Strength Requirements.
> Spell Echo does not work with this build. IT'S FAKE NEWS.
> Glancing Blows is not necessary and we have enough block to where I think it is actually worse.
> With Dory Merc, you won't need pen anywhere and that opens up a lot of options with dropping forbidden jewels, awakened lightning pen, watcher's eye, etc.
> Impossible Escape/Supreme Ostentation is a great option worth considering. I haven't gotten around to it yet.
> Minion Defence Mastery is for Runegraft of the Fortress.
> Take Brine King for stuns and collect all of the sub-pantheon's. This should pretty much make your stun problems not a real problem. Of course, Abberath for burning ground.
