Hello! This is the template for a campaign proposal. Please make a copy of this doc so you can fill it out and share it with your teammates!
These first 2 weeks from February 21st - March 8th is for writing and collaborating on your team! It’s suggested to designate one person to fill out a first draft and send it out to other folks to edit, or multiple folks can collaborate on a draft on a call. Please include team leads on campaign proposals that have to do with their team! We have until Monday, March 8th at 3pm to submit a copy to the #hub-campaign-proposals channel and HCs and BJH folks will add it to this Hub Campaign Proposals doc and activate the voting and commenting period through this google form! Voting will close on Sunday, March 14th at noon and we will discuss the results at the second Visioning Retreat session on Monday, March 15th |
Campaign - an organized set of actions towards reaching a high-level goal
Examples:
- Elect a political candidate into office through social media posts, phone banks, and canvassing
- Improve retention in the hub through a pod program
- Educate the hub on workers rights through a teach-in, film screening, and reading group

What is the goal of this campaign?
What tactics will be deployed to achieve this goal? (How will we get there? What’s a brief timeline and summary of the campaign arc?)
What teams will this project involve?
What do you feel will be a metric or metrics of success for this campaign? (quantitative: # of people engaged, phone calls made, politicians elected/ousted, new leaders, AND qualitative: quality of partnerships made, deepness of friendship and relationships of accountability, trust, and capacity)
How will this campaign center BIPOC and frontline communities who are most impacted by climate change?
What is your target audience for this campaign? (ex. frontline communities, politicians, nonprofits, high schoolers, the broader community, sunrise members, etc.)
What is the retention plan for new members who get involved in this campaign? (ex. Pod program, 1:1s, reading group, etc.)
What roles will make up the campaign team and what responsibilities will each role have? (roles can be split by multiple people!)
Does this campaign address one or more of the demands by the Black Sunrise Caucus? If so, which ones and how?
Would you like a coach for this campaign? Coaches are a mix of previous hub coordinators and team leads who hold a lot of institutional knowledge in the hub and are happy to help be a sounding board for ideas or a resource for organizational help!
