SCP-1853 (Rework)

Details

  • SCP-1853 no longer stacks when drinking multiple instances of it.
  • SCP-1853 now operates on a system called “Danger”, which quantifies the strength of its effects.
  • There is a minimum of 1 danger stack, which is applied constantly while SCP-1853 is active, and a maximum of 5 danger stacks.
  • Danger increases temporarily based on "dangerous" events happening around the player, detailed below.
  • A pulsing green visual, as well as a heartbeat sound effect is played during dangers above the default.
  • Because of this, all background soundtracks are muted while under the effects of SCP-1853.
  • Immunity to stamina and movement debuffs applied by heavy items such as armor, weapons, and experimental weapons.

Stat Buffs

These are the statistics that are powered while under the effects of SCP-1853:

  • 50% increase in item pickup speed. Does not stack above 50%.
  • 20% decrease in weapon inaccuracy (ADS and Hip).
  • 20% decrease in weapon recoil.
  • 20% reduction in reload/unload time.
  • 20% reduction in ADS enter/exit time. (Caps at 40% reduction)
  • 20% reduction in use times of medical items, grenades, SCP items, and candy. (Caps at 40% reduction)

The values above are the base stat boost received, with each full danger stack (1) increasing them by 50%*, for a maximum of 200% at danger 5.

*The only exception to this rule is item pickup speed, which does not increase with each stack.

Danger Events

Upon activation, dangers increase the stats buffed and last for 20s (unless their condition refreshes), and some can stack multiple times.

A subtle sizzling sound effect is played when a full stack of danger is achieved, as well as when danger lowers.

Game Improvements

◩ FR-MG-0

  • Slightly readjusted recoil pattern.

◩ SCP-914

  • E11 on Fine now always becomes an AK.
  • The FR-MG-0 now replaces the Logicer in the E11’s very fine recipe.
  • Adrenaline's SCP-914 recipe has been changed.
  • Before: 33% SCP-1853, 66% Nothing.
  • After: 66% Painkillers, 33% SCP-500.
  • Due to this change, neither SCP-207 nor SCP-1853 are obtainable through this path anymore.

◩ SCP-207

  • SCP-207 effect no longer stacks beyond 3 uses.

Stack Value Changes:

The damage values are calculated whilst sprinting, sneaking reduces damage by 85%, and walking by 60%.

Stack #1:

  • Speed: 6.48 m/s (1.2x) ⇨ 5.94 m/s (1.1x).
  • Damage (While sprinting): 1 HP/s ⇨ 2 HP/s.

Stack #2:

  • Speed: 7.45 m/s (1.38x) ⇨ 6.48 m/s (1.2x).
  • Damage (While sprinting): 1.5 HP/s ⇨ 3.5 HP/s.

Stack #3:

  • Speed: 8.1 m/s (1.5x) ⇨ 7.56 m/s (1.4x).
  • Damage (While sprinting): 2.5 HP/s ⇨ 5 HP/s.

◩ SCP-173

  • Base health increased to 4500.
  • Breakneck Speeds now start on the standard 40s cooldown at the start of the round.
  • Tantrum cooldown is now tied to the sustain period while in breakneck mode.
  • This cooldown is in effect until the sustain period is ended.
  • The “sustain” period refers to the amount of time SCP-173’s eye remains on screen after eye contact is lost.
  • Updated the Breakneck Speeds page in the Operational Guide to match recent changes.

◩ SCP-049

  • Base health increased to 2600.
  • Increased movement speed during Good Sense of the Doctor to 5.8 m/s (from 5.4 m/s)
  • For reference, the human sprint speed is 5.4 m/s.
  • Increased Good Sense of the Doctor hume gain to 200 (from 100).
  • Doctor's Call regeneration radius increased to 10 meters (from 7.5m).

◩ SCP-049-2

  • After a zombie dies, they may only be resurrected one last time.
  • Previously, a single zombie could die a maximum of four times.
  • Max health debuff after being resurrected as a zombie has been increased to 25% (from 10%).
  • Targets of SCP-049's Good Sense of the Doctor ability now retain higher HP with the debuff added on, resulting in 450 health after a resurrection.

◩ SCP-106

  • Base health increased to 2500.
  • Adjusted M1's initial damage to 40 (from 30).
  • Damage is NOT dealt on the hit that teleports the player to the Pocket Dimension.

  • SCP-500 can no longer cure the Traumatized status effect.

◩ Pocket Dimension

  • Increased music volume inside the Pocket Dimension.
  • Yes, there was music in there!
  • The Sinkhole status effect is now applied to players inside the Pocket Dimension.

◩ SCP-079

  • Door Locking:
  • Ability is now unlocked at Tier 3.
  • Blackout:
  • Ability cost increased to 40 AP (from 25).
  • Adjusted ability cost for the Surface Zone to 80 AP.
  • Ability duration decreased to 10 seconds (from 15).
  • Updated cooldown for zone-wide blackouts to 120 seconds (from 90).
  • In effect, this is a 60-second cooldown, as the cooldown begins once the blackout activates, and the blackout lasts 60 seconds.
  • Lockdown:
  • Ability is now unlocked at Tier 4.
  • SCP-079 can no longer regenerate AP during Tier 4 lockdown.
  • SCP-079 gains half-rate AP regeneration during a lockdown once Tier 5 is reached.
  • Lockdown duration is changed to 7 seconds (from 13s).

  • Reduce AP regeneration at Tier 4 to 5.1 AP/s (from 6.8).
  • Reduce AP regeneration at Tier 5 to 6.9 AP/s (from 11.2).
  • Adjust SCP-2176 stun duration to 10 seconds (from 8).
  • Door-related buttons should no longer be visible while the warhead is active.
  • This excludes doors on Surface, such as Alpha Warhead Control room door, and escape doors.
  • Fixed SCP-079’s Lockdown & Blackout ability cooldowns sometimes staying active across different rounds.

Backend Changes

Primitive Objects / Admin Toys

  • AdminToyBase.IsStatic property is now a SyncVar, allowing plugin developers to disable a PrimitiveObject's position updates on clients as well as on the server.
  • Implemented GPU Instancing for primitive objects, which should significantly improve performance when using them.
  • Primitive objects now share materials when using the same color.
  • Added PrimitiveFlags, which allow you to toggle certain features such as collision & visibility on and off.
  • Because of this, the previous workaround of setting a primitive to a negative scale to disable collision has been removed.
  • Cube primitive objects now use a BoxCollider, instead of a MeshCollider.
  • Other code cleanup and optimizations related to code execution.

Remote Admin / API

  • Selected filters for RA's player list are now saved across sessions.
  • Cancelling the Scp106TeleportPlayerEvent now blocks SCP-106's M1 cooldown from triggering.
  • You should still be able to trigger the cooldown manually, in case this change breaks your plugin's logic.
  • Added danger <player> command to Remote Admin, used to gather information regarding SCP-1853's current effects.
  • Added Fog Control status effect, which allows users to change a client's current FogType.
  • Due to not all fogs being made with this in mind, some (7) of them may not work correctly when forced, but our community heavily requested the ability to disable fog, thus we hope this proves useful to our modding community.

Fixes

  • Fixed SCP-079’s Lockdown & Blackout ability cooldowns sometimes staying active across different rounds.
  • Fixed light sources from flashlights (both item and weapon attachment) not matching between 1st and 3rd person.
  • Fixed exploit allowing SCP-106 to teleport to the void side of an elevator.
  • Fixed muted players becoming unmuted when reconnecting.
  • Fixed revive indicators not disappearing after players respawn.
  • Fixed a bug where despite being in Overwatch mode, you could still be respawned as SCP-049-2.
  • Fixed auto nuke triggering at inconsistent times, while enabled by the server.
  • Fixed formatting error when using the "request data" feature in Remote Admin.
  • Small cleanup of old (2019 kind of old!) code related to Pocket Dimension exit gates.
