My name is <<YOUR FULL NAME>> and I am emailing today about to demand a review of the UK's export of security equipment (which includes rubber bullets, UK-manufactured tear gas, and riot shields) to US Police Forces.

After seeing shocking images of the police and National Guard utilising excessive force against Black Lives Matter protesters across the United States, I demand that the UK should immediately freeze all policing and security equipment export licenses to the US where historically there has been a clear risk of further misuse.

Continuous export of UK- manufactured tear gas and rubber bullets creates room for highly inappropriate and dangerous ways of abusing the protestors and I believe this is something the UK ministers are obliged to respond and address under its own laws.

I demand that ministers provide detailed, case-by-case assessments and evaluations of any further requests for equipment from individual US police forces as well as completely stopping exports from any that have acted irresponsibly during the current crisis.

Please respond to my letter and outline the steps you intend to take to address my concerns. Please also keep me informed of any progress.
