General Info on Ingredients
The Base Recipe for ALL Creami’s is below. From here, it’s just tweaking ingredients. If a recipe calls for additional ingredients, I usually reduce the unsweet almond Milk by the amount. Extra Dry ingredients, I usually don’t worry about too much, as I always pour the Fairlife Skim Milk last up to the fill line. So, when I say 1 cup, it might be 7/8 of a cup. Cooking is an art as much as a science; no need to be super specific. The only real sugar is coming from the Fairlife Milk, but is just a couple of grams. Exact amounts in Vanilla Recipe Below.
Main Ingredients
- Fairlife Skim Milk, Aldi, Mootopia or Carbmaster, Can Substitute with 2% Milk if desired
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (Silk brand or equivalent)
- 1 scoop of Gold Standard Whey Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder (or preferred brand/flavor. Also Ryse, BUM brands for unique flavors. I find Whey better than Casein.
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Vanilla Pudding (Or another flavor)
- 1 Tablespoon Allulose (other sweeteners can be tried, Monk Fruit, Erythritol, sugar)
- Pinch of Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Guar Gum/Xanthan Gum (Not necessary, but really helps with consistency)
- ¼ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Or other Flavors)
*Note: Underlined ingredients indicate changes or unique ingredients for that recipe.
Other Ingredients
Cocoa Powder, Peanut Butter Powder, Cinnamon, All Spice, Nutmeg, various fruits, coffee, carrot juice, pumpkin puree, cream cheese, flavor extracts, coffee & baking syrups
Common Mix-ins/Toppings
Sugar Free Chocolate Chips, Sugar Free Peanut Butter Chips, Candy Bars, Graham Crackers, Nilla Wafers, Cookies, Cream Cheese, Fruits, Sprinkles, nuts, Chocolate syrup, Caramel syrup, Cool Whip, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, anything else you might want on ice cream
Common Abbreviations: SF = Sugar Free; LF = Low Fat; PB = Peanut Butter; tbsp = tablespoon; tsp = teaspoon
Directions
- Whisk dry ingredients in pint: Protein powder, pudding, allulose, salt, and any other additional dry ingredients like cocoa powder. Get a good mix before adding wet stuff.
- Add wet ingredients into the pint. Make sure to stir well. I use a butter knife and scrape all the dry residue off the side. I know you can use wet first, to mitigate this, but sometimes the milk amounts need to vary a bit in order NOT to go above the fill line, and this is the best way in my experience.
- Pour mix into a blender and run on lowest setting for 5-10 seconds. Blenders vary; you might have to tinker with this a bit. This will add air into the Creami mix. When you pour it back into the pint, it usually comes above the fill line, almost to the rim! This is ok as long as your original mix pre-blended was below, you’re fine. The air will settle out. Alternatively you can use an emulsion blender, but for pints I find it spills too much unless you put it in a larger container.
- Freeze pint 24 hours. I have pulled pints as early as 12 hours, and it does some interesting things with the texture, such as a Wendy’s Frosty-type consistency.
- Run the Creami on the Ice Cream mix.
- Remove the pint and run under warm water for 15-30 seconds to melt the ice crystals on the side and bottom.
- If using mix-ins, eat a hole down the middle all the way to the bottom of the pint! Add your mix-ins and run the pint again on “Mix-in” flavor. Alternatively run on Lite Ice Cream flavor if your not using mix ins or want a fluffier consistency(like Banana Pudding for instance).
7b. Optional: Sometimes you need a re-spin. In my experience, this is usually only if I eat half a pint and save the rest. It will have a powder/clumpy texture. If so, just run the re-spin setting right after the mix-in setting.
- Add toppings if desired and enjoy!
Notes on Macros & Toppings:
The base recipe is sugar-free*(Milk has a bit), high protein. The toppings and mix-ins can QUICKLY add up, so be careful. I usually eat the Creami base when in a cutting phase for my diet, and if bulking, I’ll add mix-ins. This is totally subjective and shouldn’t change the flavor profile too much. As always, be mindful of portion size on mix-ins! Most mix-ins and Toppings should be considered OPTIONAL. You can still get a strong flavor profile without these, with some exceptions.
Important Note: You can cut calories by making it without the Protein powder, but the taste will suffer greatly. Find a good brand of protein powder with a taste you like. It matters A LOT!
Preparation Tips:
Make an Assembly line! Label your lids with a wet erase market for each flavor Before making. Write the mixins on the lid helps too. I usually prepare all my pints for the week on sundays. One 52oz Fairlife and 64oz Unsweet Almond Milk is just enough for 7 pints. Usually with a bit of almond milk left over.
Add dry ingredients first, then pour wet on top, otherwise they will all just float on top. I will start with a protein powder scoop in each pint followed by Allulose, Salt, Xanthum gum, Pudding mix, and any other dry ingredients like Cocoa/PB powder. Then add the Fairlife milk, almond milk, flavor extracts, and finally any other wet ingredients like fruits. Pour in blender, then back into pint, too much air will overflow. Make sure its level when placed in freezer. After a few weeks it will become second nature, and you only need to reference what is unique about each flavor.
Creami Formulation aka Getting that Perfect “Ice cream Consistency/Texture”
Total solids: 15-25% of mix weight.
Total sugars (including polyols/intense sweeteners, as “sugar equivalents”): about 11.5–12.5%.
Serving temperature: aim for 13–14 °C (i.e. Straight from the freezer-NO THAWING!).
Fat: about 2.5% currently, but can be lowered toward 0% if compensated with other solids (inulin, SMP, protein, more sweeteners).
Machine safety/texture constraint: if the modeled serving temperature is warmer than negative ~13°C at your freezer setting, the mix is too icy; if it’s much colder, you likely have too many solids and the texture suffers.
Don't worry, all this is already done in my recipes to follow.
Note: Its not uncommon to have a powdery texture after the first cycle. RESPIN or add your mix ins and run a MIX IN setting.
Cost of Creami’s: $3.14 or Pi (as of 2026)
This will very by brand and local pricing but I currently estimate my base Vanilla Creami cost per pint as follows: Opt Nut Protein Powder $1.37 per serving, Fairlife Milk .78c, Unwsweet Almond Milk Silk .50c, Simple Truth Organic Allulose .10c , Xantham Gum .02c , McCormick Vanilla flavor extract .12c, Kroger Sugar Free Pudding .25c. Equals $3.14 cents per Pint or Pi if it’s easier to remember. Compared to something like HALO Top which is about $6 a pint, half the protein, more calories, and filled with Erythritol, stomach cramps, or worse, I’ll call this a win.
*Other ingredients like mixins, syrups, nuts,cookies can increase cost.

- I usually Run Ice Cream setting followed by Mix In. (Green cycle above then Magenta)
- If necessary I will then do a third spin cycle on Re-Spin. Usually only necessary if I eat half the pint and refreeze. (Green, Magenta, then Orange)
- DO NOT THAW OR RUN WARM WATER OVER YOUR PINT BEFORE THE FIRST CYCLE! So many Youtubers and influences say to do this and they have clearly never read the manual. You can break your Creami doing this. Trust me I know.
- Best time to thaw? After running the first cycle but before the Mixin’s are added I will run warm water on the sides and bottom for 20 seconds. This has consistently removed the ice crystals along the sides and bottoms almost all the time.

If you like to lick the beaters after mixing up a cake, then Cake Batter Ice Cream is going to be one of your favorites! This cake batter ice cream recipe tastes similar to Cold Stone Creamery’s version.
Note: I plan to try actual classic yellow SF cake batter as a substitution for the pudding in the future. Feel free to give it a go.

- 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 tbsp sugar-free Vanilla pudding OR Cheesecake

6. Butterfinger/Candy Bar
Classic vanilla base mixed with the crunchy salted buttery flavor of a Butterfinger candy bar.
Edit: I’ve discovered this is a solid base recipe for pretty much any candy bar. Snickers, Baby Ruth, Kit Kat, Reeses, etc… Just make sure you refrigerate your bar so that the Mix-in setting doesn’t obliterate your bar. The colder texture helps keep bits of crunchy goodness better than room temperature. You can opt for basic Vanilla/Chocolate recipe instead for other bars by using Vanilla/chocolate base recipes above.

A favorite Autumn seasonal treat! Packed with pumpkin and allspice, with crunchy graham crackers ‘crust’ and topped with cool whip.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of Fairlife Skim Milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 tbsp sugar-free Vanilla pudding
- 1 scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder

Note: It took me a while to figure out the marshmallows. I tried making them, store bought regular, sugar free, etc… The best thing seems to be the Marshmallow Jet Puff added as a mix in hand stirred (not the Creami Mixin Cycle) to prevent the freezing/hardening.
