TERTIARY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS OF DIVERSE ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Please read carefully before completing the application form.

These scholarships are exclusively available to non-Chinese students of diverse ethnic backgrounds in Hong Kong who:

Hold the right of abode in Hong Kong; and
Possess a valid Hong Kong Identity Card.

Applicants holding study, travel, or visit visas are not eligible.

Scholarship Categories

1. Ho and Fung Charitable Foundation Scholarship — HK$15,000

Open only to first-year university students.
Awarded based on outstanding academic performance and financial need.

2. Amber Foundation Scholarship — HK$15,000

Open to female students in their 3rd or 4th year of university.
Supports career success through leadership development.
Awardees must participate in the EMPOWER Program, a series of leadership workshops designed to strengthen business networks and career opportunities for women of diverse ethnic backgrounds in Hong Kong.

3. Dr. Wong Kam-kuen Charity Act Scholarship for Chinese Performance — HK$1,500

Recognises first-year university students with exceptional Chinese language performance in public examinations.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

Be graduating from Form 6 in July 2026; and
Be enrolled in a full-time degree or sub-degree programme at a higher education institution in Hong Kong for the 2026/27 academic year.

Application Requirements

Complete all sections of the form.
If a section does not apply, please write “N/A”.
Submit an academic reference from a teacher or other relevant referee.
