On the day of auditions: if you are auditioning for multiple things, please go to BAND FIRST as it will only be a short meeting, then DANCE, then either ACTING or SINGING.

Dance:

We’re going to do a quick warmup to let band auditions happen first! Then, we will learn a quick combo, part of the finale. EVERYONE who learns this combo will be dancing the finale. We will then do the dance in groups of 4, so I can take notes. After that, if you’re not interested in featured dance, you are free to go. We will then learn a second combo, and perform it for me in groups. This dance does not immediately put you into featured. Wear comfy clothes and sneakers, and bring water! You will go to me before going to singing or acting.

Singing:

Signing is gonna be super laidback and rehearsals are normally going to be 30 minutes or less. For auditions, please come with something to sing for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute. It can be as simple as happy birthday or the alphabet or it can be whatever you think displays your voice well but I just need something to gauge where your voice rests and what you’re comfortable with. I might ask you what vocal range you’d say you have or what voice type you have and if you don’t know what that means then don’t worry! We do have a limited number of spaces for singers to go so please do not take any decision made by the directors personally!

Acting: These auditions are going to be super easy, they will most likely be held in Wolfe’s classroom in the orange wing. Auditions will be done in small groups of 2-5 I’ll be sure to have lots of audition cuts for people to choose from and group themselves up, or read with me. if I would like you to read something specific I’ll be sure to let you know. Please make your time priorities and let those who need to go first, go first

Band:

Band rehearsals will be very similar to in-school concert classes, they will mostly if not always be in the evening after some marching band rehearsals for roughly an hour or so depending on the day. There are no auditions, so if you list band on the form we'll have a quick 5 minute information session before you go to other auditions each day, please be there so I can confirm your interest!

Tech:

Auditions for tech will be a quick informal interview asking what you are interested in and if you have any experience doing tech. If you don’t have any experience that’s okay! If you're in anything other than tech, you will most like not be able to do run crew during show week, but you can still help out before hand.
