Kaiden

The main character who has a crush on Francine, but can’t seem to be the guy he wants to be, especially when his friends keep interfering. He’s got a traumatic past that he’s still trying to overcome. His superpower is being stretchy, and he refuses to join his friends as superheroes. Skeptical, Realistic, Mature

Lines:

Kaiden is discussing with his friends their recent acquisition of superpowers.

1. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m gonna go hit myself in the face until I either wake up from this nightmare or die.

Kaiden’s friends have been trying to convince him to join them as the fifth member, but he’s not interested.
2.
And I’m still not interested. But hey, if you ever find the Creator, let me know.

Kaiden’s friends can’t seem to accept the fact that he’s not interested in being a superhero.
3.
You’re still on that? I’m not a superhero, Luke! Just cause I’m a living blob of silly putty now, why is it suddenly my responsibility to save people?

Jennifer

Jennifer comes from a well off family, but she has a strong personality that wants to be independent. Her superpower is extreme intelligence and she goes by The Brain. She also has a crush on Francine. Lower Energy, Judgmental, Logical

Lines:

Francine tries to help Jennifer with her studies by inviting her to the Science lab with Bruno and Kaiden later that night.

1. How’s a science lab gonna help me with a philosophy test?

Francine notices a store clerk seemingly interested in Jennifer, but Jennifer is oblivious since she only has eyes for Francine.

2. Her? I don’t know… I mean, she’s got neck tattoos.

Jennifer tries to ask Francine out, but gets misunderstood.

3. Speaking of which, Um… Well, I was just wondering if… If you maybe wanted to go out this weekend. Or just sometime. Whenever.

Francine

Francine is seemingly perfect in every way. Her dream is to be a celebrity of some sort, but she’s always kind and thoughtful towards others. Her superpower is invisibility, and she goes by Luminaria. Kind, Cute, Bubbly

Lines:

Francine is talking with Jennifer trying to help her with her studies.

1. Hey, if you’re worried about that test, you should come with me to the science lab tonight! Kaiden and Bruno are smart guys. I bet they’ll be able to help.

Francine is getting ready for school and realizes she can’t see her reflection in the mirror.

2. Yeah, that’s a cute outfit! Let’s see how I… look?

Francine tries to convince the friend group about forming a superhero team.

3. I dunno, maybe Joe and Luke are right. They have a point. We should use these powers to help people.

Bruno

Bruno is Kaiden’s best friend who basically became his brother after his parents passed away. He’s always looking out for Kaiden. Friendly, Funny, Caring

Lines:

Bruno notices Francine being more than friendly with Kaiden.

1. Dude! She was flirting with you.

As the best wingman he convinces Kaiden of a way for him and Francine to spend time together alone.

2. Don’t worry. I’ll make up some reason I can’t show up. Give you two lovebirds some time alone.

After a long day Kaiden comes home and Bruno, carefree, is curious about what he’s been up to.

3. Oh, there you are, Kaid. Where've you been all day?

Luke

Luke is basically still a child in an adult’s body. He still sees the world in such a simplistic and naive way, but is always able to cheer up the friend group with his enthusiasm. His superpower is super speed, and he goes by Captain Quick. Goofy, Immature, Unashamed

Lines:

Luke is arguing with Joe about superheroes.

1. Dark Phantom could easily beat Wonder Boy, dude. Dark Phantom’s not a regular guy. He’s a ghost! That’s why he’s called “Phantom.”

Luke is the only one who takes their superhero names seriously so he’s correcting the other members about calling Jennifer by her superhero name.

2. The Brain! The Brain seems to think so! Am I the only one who cares about our secret identities?

The friends are all trying to figure out how they got superpowers and what they should do about it.

3. Come on. If we’re gonna be an effective super team, we all need to understand why we’re here.

Joe

Joe is a responsible guy who is always brought into bad situations by his friend Luke. Even though he knows Luke’s ideas aren’t the best, he goes along with them and complains about it the whole time when things go wrong. His superpower is controlling electricity, and he goes by Lightning Joe. Cool, Sarcastic, Positive

Lines:

Luke and Joe are fighting crime and Joe realizes he should’ve maybe put more thought into some things instead of just going along with Luke in the heat of the moment.

1. And I’m, uh… Lightning… Joe. Really should’ve thought about that one beforehand.

Joe tries to convince the rest of the friends to join the superhero team Luke is excited to start.

2. Someone’s gotta keep him out of trouble, and I mean, come on. It does sound fun.

Joe is attempting to find out more information about the Creator.

3. Jennifer seems to think so. We’ve been on his tail for the past week.

The Tunneler

The first supervillain the friends come across. He’s just a tough guy wreaking havoc and stealing. Strong, Comedic, Greedy

Lines:

He’s caught robbing by Luke and Joe who are new to the superhero thing.

1. So are you guys here to stop me, or…?

The team wants to learn more about superpowers, but the Tunneler is tired of talking.

2. Keep asking questions… And you’re gonna get hurt!

He accidentally slips up about information about the Creator.

3. Uh… He’s nobody! What? I don’t know. Never mind!

Mysterious Father

The Creator’s father. Not much is known about him, but he comes off powerful and influential. Tough, Powerful, Big

Lines:

He’s seen reading the newspaper as he talks to his son.

1. These Furious Five kids who got our guy… they’re not yours, are they?

Ordering the Creator to take care of the new superheroes.

2. They’re an unpredictable element. I don’t like unpredictable elements in my city. Eliminate them.

The Creator

The mysterious guy giving powers to people in the city. Seemingly the main villain of the story so far. Mysterious, Evil, Manipulative

Lines:

As an evil mastermind pulling the strings behind the curtain of events unfolding.

1. Use your abilities. Become who you were meant to be. This is all going exactly as planned.

Following the orders his father gave him.

2. Whatever you say, Dad.

The Bunsen Burner

A dastardly villain who shows up to wreak havoc and gets destroyed without much effort by the team. Loud, Charismatic, Strong

Lines:

He shows up to announce himself as a new villain and scare the citizens.

1. Citizens of Battery City! Tremble in terror before the unfathomable might of… The Bunsen Burner!

Kaiden nonchalantly is talking to him while ignoring his threats before Luke comes in knocking him out easily.

2. You will regret mocking me, you little -

Yale Parker

Professor of Paleontology who attempts to hit on his attractive female students. He gives off bad vibes and makes a deal with the Creator to gain superpowers which turns him into a dinosaur. Creepy, Nerdy, Bitter

Lines:

At the end of class Yale is addressing his students.

1. I believe that’s all the time we have today to discuss the cretaceous period. Read chapter seven in your textbooks and I’ll see you all next week.

After Francine turns down his offer to come to his place.

2. If you think that’ll work. But remember, my door is always open.

As a dinosaur chasing after Francine.

3. Kraa!!!
