Join us this fall for an exciting semester of music and visual arts! Our classes are designed for individuals with Down syndrome and other special abilities to help participants explore their creativity, build confidence, and connect through joyful expression. Space is limited in each class so sign up early!

🎶 CHOIR | Ages 13+

Monthly Tuition: $40.00 ($8.57/class)
The Friends of Club 21 Choir is a vibrant, welcoming space for singers of all abilities. Whether you're just starting out or you've been singing for years, this weekly class helps you grow in your musical ability while connecting with others. Together, we rehearse 3–4 performance songs that may include movement, sign language, or props, bringing music to life in a dynamic and inclusive way.
Singers will develop key skills in vocal clarity, musical memory, ensemble awareness, and confident, expressive performance. Students have multiple chances to perform throughout the year, including our signature event—Christmas This Year.
Instructor: Becca Klock
Becca Klock is a highly experienced performer, director, and teacher with a B.A. in Vocal Performance and an M.A. in Music Education. With over 20 years of stage experience, she’s directed award-nominated musical theatre productions and taught music internationally. Becca brings passion, creativity, and joy to every class—along with a deep love for building community through the arts.

This playful and engaging art class is designed just for younger artists! Students will explore a
variety of creative materials—like paint, pastels, and even some silly surprise tools—to create
exciting 2D and 3D art. Each session encourages curiosity, confidence, and colorful self-
expression. Whether your child is a doodler or a detail-lover, they'll have space to explore big ideas and let their imagination shine. And most importantly, we make sure every class is filled with fun!

🎸 BASS GUITAR | Ages 13+
Thursdays, 6:00–7:15 PM
Monthly Tuition: $60.00 ($12.86/class)
All students will have an instrument provided for use for the semester. Some additional materials may be
recommended by the instructor.
Discover the power of rhythm and groove in this hands-on bass guitar class! This beginner-
friendly bass guitar class introduces the fundamentals of electric bass through fun, hands-on
instruction. Participants will explore everything from tuning and technique to note reading and
playing along with soundtracks. Designed for all skill levels, this class helps students build confidence, rhythm, and musical understanding—one groove at a time.
Instructor: Chuck Roth
Chuck Roth has over 18 years of bass playing experience and a deep musical background. He began in elementary school on clarinet and studied saxophone and music theory through
college. He’s self-taught on bass guitar and has played in churches and bands across Colorado. Chuck brings a passion for worship, music, and mentoring to every class.
🥁 PERCUSSION (Drumline) | Ages 15+
Thursdays, 6:00–7:15 PM
Monthly Tuition: $60.00 ($12.86/class)
All students receive a practice pad & sticks or mallets. Some additional materials may be recommended by
the instructor.
This high-energy percussion class introduces students to the exciting world of drumline through snare and bass drum instruction. Beginning with the basics—like proper grip, posture, and technique—students will progress into warm-ups, rhythms, rudiments, and music reading. The class uses hands-on practice, group drills, and video examples to build ensemble awareness and musical precision. By the end of the semester, students will have developed a strong foundation in timing, coordination, and confidence as they explore what it means to be a percussionist in a team setting.
Instructor: Jerrell Joyner
Jerrell Joyner is a passionate drummer and educator with over 18 years of experience. He
currently teaches percussion at Mesa Ridge High School and plays drums with 11:21 Worship, a World Challenge ministry band. Jerrell combines energy, faith, and skill to help each student grow at their own pace.
🎨 VISUAL ARTS: Becoming Artists | Ages 13+

This class is all about discovering your creative voice. Young adults will explore different mediums—from traditional tools like paint and pastels to a few unexpected materials—to create expressive 2D and 3D artwork. Each session includes both individual and collaborative projects, with space to reflect, play, and let imagination lead. Whether you're an experienced artist or just getting started, this is a safe and inspiring space to take creative risks, try new techniques, and grow in confidence.
Instructor: Cindy Limbrick
Cindy Limbrick is a visual artist, certified grief coach, and author who has led hundreds of
individuals in finding healing and creativity through art. She’s worked with organizations across Colorado (including FOC21’s art camp this summer), has taught classes for children and adults alike, and brings compassion, expertise, and a playful spirit to each class. She currently lives in Colorado Springs with her two dogs, Oswald and Snoopy.

Community Connection will be used for gathering everyone together for weekly announcements and to learn this year's show number that the entire cast participates in. This time is required attendance for Christmas This Year participants and a parent each week.

This expressive class blends the grace and technique of classical ballet with the fluid, emotional movement of lyrical dance. Dancers will work on building a strong foundation in ballet fundamentals—posture, alignment, and control—while exploring lyrical storytelling through movement, music, and emotion. Perfect for dancers who want to connect deeper with their artistry while strengthening technique culminating in “The Prayer,” a dance number in Christmas This Year.

Christmas Lights — CTY Performance Song

Kick up your heels and join us for a fun, high-energy line dancing class! Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your moves, this class offers an upbeat and welcoming environment for all skill levels. You'll learn a variety of choreographed routines set to country, pop, and classic hits—all without needing a partner. Line dancing is not only a great way to enjoy music and socialize, but it’s also an excellent workout that improves coordination, memory, and cardiovascular health all while getting ready for “Christmas Light,” a number sure to be a highlight in Christmas This Year. No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable shoes!
This class is not limited to our individuals with Down syndrome! We welcome adults/parents to be a part of this class & performance as well. Make sure to register yourself for this class if you’re interested in joining in
✨ MEANINGFUL MOVEMENT | Ages 2-8
Santa Baby — CTY Performance Song

Our Meaningful Movement Dance Class is designed for little ones ages 2-8 who are ready to explore the world of movement and rhythm in a fun and supportive environment. Through creative exercises, basic dance techniques, and playful songs, children will develop coordination, body awareness, balance, flexibility, and motor skills. This class encourages structured play, self-expression, boosts confidence, and fosters social interaction with peers. Parents will love watching their child gain a sense of rhythm and joy through dance, all while building a foundation for “Santa Baby,” a dance number in Christmas This Year.
10:15–11:00 AM Classes
Perfect for teens who are new to dance or looking to explore jazz for the first time! This class introduces the fundamentals of jazz dance in a fun, supportive, and energetic environment. Students will learn basic jazz technique all set to upbeat and age-appropriate music. The class focuses on building coordination, flexibility, rhythm, and confidence while encouraging personal style and creativity to showcase skills in Christmas This Year’s “Mrs. Claus” number. No experience needed—just a positive attitude and a willingness to move!
Our partner's dance class is the perfect way to bond, laugh, and learn something new with your partner. Whether you're preparing for a special event, wanting to have fun with your person, or just to prepare for “The First Noel” — the waltz number in Christmas This Year — this class is where it will happen in a supportive environment for all skill levels. You and your partner will explore a variety of popular partner dances. Our experienced instructors focus on connection, rhythm, and clear communication so you can move together with confidence and joy. No prior dance experience needed—just bring comfortable shoes and each other!
Get ready to jump, groove, and have a blast with your sibling! This beginner hip hop class is perfect for any age who love to move and want to learn fun dance steps to their favorite music. We’ll warm up, learn easy moves, and put them together in a mini routine — all in a playful, upbeat setting where everyone can be themselves and shine. Siblings will show off their swag in “What Makes You Beautiful,” a number this crew will bring the house down with in Christmas This Year. Note: Siblings are welcome to attend any week but are required to attend classes starting November 1st through the show.
11:05 AM – 12:00 PM Classes
This introductory drama class is designed to offer a foundation in performance, self-expression, and stage presence. Through engaging exercises, scene work, and group activities, students will explore key elements of drama such as voice, movement, character development, and storytelling. The course emphasizes creative risk-taking, collaboration, and personal growth in a supportive environment. Whether you're new to acting or looking to develop your confidence and communication skills, this class offers a space to experiment, connect, and discover your creative voice. No prior experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to participate. While no direct performance piece for Christmas This Year is a part of this class, there may be specific parts of the show that individuals are incorporated into based on their participation in the class!

Make music together with handbells! In this fun class, we’ll learn how to ring the bells, keep the beat, and play songs as a team. No experience needed—everyone has an important part, and we’ll make beautiful music while having a great time! The handbell choir will help lead carols “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night” in Christmas This Year.
