Beyond Land Acknowledgement Resources

Below you will find an extensive but not exhaustive list of resources for learning more about the practices of land acknowledgements, the Land Back movement, and moving beyond symbolic or check-box acknowledgements. Each of these links offers self assessment questionnaires, case studies, videos, how to guides (including information on how to establish a Land Tax program or return land to Indigenous peoples), and more. You’ll find overlaps and resonances among them, and I encourage folks to spend time reading through each of the resources to find what is useful and meaningful for their own learning. These links are also meant to show the vast amount of labor already performed by Indigenous peoples on this topic, and how long these conversations have been occurring.
