Subject Line: REQUEST TO REMOVE THE GEOBLOCK ON YOUTUBE AND IMPROVE PROMOTION FOR LOVE YOU TEACHER
Dear GMMTV Team,
We are international fans writing to express our sincere support for Love You Teacher and the continued work of GMMTV.
The series has been receiving growing attention from audiences across multiple countries, with a strong and passionate fanbase in regions. Many viewers have shown great interest in the storyline, cast, and overall production, leading to active discussions and engagement across social media platforms.
As dedicated fans, we truly appreciate the effort and creativity invested in this project. We believe that Love You Teacher holds significant potential to achieve even greater international recognition and success with the right level of accessibility and promotional support.
However, despite the strong interest and positive reception from international audiences, we have encountered 2 key issues that may be limiting the series’ overall performance and global reach. We would like to respectfully highlight these concerns below:
ISSUE 1: YOUTUBE REGION RESTRICTION
One of the major concerns we would like to highlight is the current region restriction on YouTube. At present, Love You Teacher is unavailable in a significant number of countries, with access restricted in a large portion of global markets. This has created a considerable barrier for international audiences who are eager to support the series through official channels.
Due to these restrictions, the accessibility of the show is severely limited, resulting in reduced organic reach and lower overall viewership. Many fans are unable to watch the series on the official YouTube platform, despite their willingness to do so. As a result, some viewers are forced to rely on VPN services, which often provide an unstable viewing experience, while others turn to unofficial sources.
This situation unintentionally leads to the fragmentation of viewership across non-official platforms, where views, engagement, and audience data are not accurately reflected on the official release. Consequently, this directly affects the measurable performance of the series, including view counts, engagement metrics, and its ability to trend or gain visibility on a global scale.
Furthermore, limited accessibility also weakens the potential for international word-of-mouth promotion. When audiences cannot easily access the content, it becomes significantly more difficult for the series to generate organic buzz, viral moments, or sustained discussions across different regions.
We strongly believe that the current level of restriction is hindering the true potential of Love You Teacher in the global market, especially considering the existing demand and active international fanbase that is ready to support the series through legitimate means.
ISSUE 2: INSUFFICIENT PROMOTION ACROSS PLATFORMS
Another major concern we would like to address is the current promotional strategy for Love You Teacher, which appears to be relatively limited and inconsistent across platforms.
Based on our observations, the volume and effectiveness of promotional content have not been sufficient to match the potential of the series or the level of interest from the audience. Specifically:
- On TikTok, the number of posts related to Episode 2 was extremely limited, with only minimal content being uploaded.
- On X (Twitter), although there were several posts (including videos and photos), some video formats were not optimized for the platform (e.g., 16:9 instead of more engaging formats like 1:1 or vertical), which may reduce viewer engagement.
- On Instagram, there was a delay in posting content, leading to missed opportunities to capture immediate audience interest during peak discussion periods.
- The number of official edits produced by the company was very low, limiting the availability of short, shareable content that could help the series go viral.
- Artist promotion during the airing period has been minimal, with very limited scheduling or appearances to support the series.
- On YouTube, although there were several uploads, some content lacked English subtitles, which significantly reduces accessibility for international audiences.
- Additionally, key promotional content such as reaction videos from the main cast and behind-the-scenes footage for Episode 2 were not released in a timely manner, despite this being a common and effective practice for maintaining audience engagement.
These limitations collectively reduce the overall visibility and momentum of the series. In today’s highly competitive entertainment landscape, consistent, timely, and platform-optimized content is essential to sustain audience interest and maximize reach.
We believe that with a stronger and more strategic promotional approach, Love You Teacher could achieve significantly better engagement and performance across both domestic and international markets.
We would like to emphasize that all of the points mentioned above come from a place of genuine support and appreciation. As international fans, we truly care about the success of Love You Teacher and the artists involved, and we hope to see the series reach its full potential on a global scale.
We believe that with improved accessibility and a more effective promotional strategy, the series can achieve significantly stronger performance and wider recognition. The international audience is present, engaged, and ready to support through official channels if given the opportunity.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read our feedback. We sincerely hope that our concerns and suggestions will be taken into consideration. We look forward to seeing continued growth and success in the future.
Sincerely,
International Fans
