On September 13th 2026, The former GD Archives members “Geomon14” and “JJReed” got into a relationship. Geomon14 is 19 and JJReed is 16. However Geomon14 already turned 19 this year and JJ is turning 17 in November. So effectively it is a 2.5 year age gap. This is extremely normal and not problematic in the slightest. At that age gap they could have reasonably met in high school. The two happily announced their relationship on different platforms.
At first glance, this was generally received well. However, after some time passed, Geomon was banned from GD Archives. With the team basically privately labeling them as a pedophile.
This is insane for several reasons. Firstly, Geomon and JJ were some of the most active showcasers. If it wasn’t for them, GD Archives wouldn’t have nearly as much progress as they do.
Despite this, Geomon was kicked instantly for something as simple as a 2 year age gap relationship in which the younger person in the relationship has confirmed that nothing bad is taking place.
The other reason this is insane, is because GD Archives has fostered an extremely unsafe environment in the discord, allowing some truly problematic people to exist in the server because of some weird policy where they would only ban people for their behavior in the server. They allowed extremely problematic people such as We7nium and Truebolt.
We7nium has a history of various problematic behavior in the community. They are banned in several Discord servers.
Despite this, they were not banned and existed in the server despite being banned from a MAJORITY of Geometry Dash discord servers for problematic behavior.
Proof We7nium was in the server even as recently as October 2026.
As for Truebolt. They are a pedophile defender.

JJ warned GD Archives about Truebolt, and they were told they wouldn’t be banned because the behavior didn’t happen within the server.
Because of this JJ left the server.
The moment JJ left, they closed General as a form of damage control and lied to the public about why they actually closed it.

“I gravely apologize – and take full responsibility for – fostering a hostile environment" “While this has been an incredibly difficult conclusion to come to, many archivers feel the server has become too difficult to manage – such is the reason for JJ’s departure from the team.”
These quotes imply that the reason General was closed and JJ left was because the server got too toxic. While the server was indeed toxic, being filled with Daily Chatters. The real reason was because they were afraid of being called out for harboring a pedophile defender in their server.
This screenshot is proof that the Truebolt thing is the real reason they closed General. Alongside proof that they strongly believe that a two year age gap is somehow so problematic the entire GD community would go after them for it.
So to recap, a two year age gap is bad, but being an ACTUAL PEDOPHILE DEFENDER is apparently ok?
It is because of this that I feel GD Archives should not have a position of power in the community the way they do. They have shown a lack of consistency in their moderation and an extreme inability to ban dangerous people from their server.
