WELCOME TO COURT STREET YOGA

Court Street Yoga is a program of South Church. Classes are held at The Meetinghouse, located at 73 Court Street.  

All classes are one hour long and appropriate for all levels. There is no need to sign up in advance. All are welcome!

Evening classes discontinued

Sadly, our Tuesday + Thursday 5:30-6:30pm classes have been discontinued, effective September 30th, 2026. Many thanks to Sheila and Kelly and all the students who were part of this community. There just hasn’t been enough interest to continue to run these classes at this time, but we’re open to other opportunities in the future.

Fee Structure and Payment:

A monthly fee of $75 will allow participants to attend unlimited classes.  You may also pay a drop-in fee of $10 per class. If payment is not feasible for you, please know that this program is open to the community at no charge. 

Cash is accepted at each class, although the preferred method of payment is through the Vanco app, which is accessible on the South Church website.  This allows you to process payments securely with your credit card.

If you do not currently have a Vanco account, please visit the South Church website at www.southchurch-uu.org.  At the top right of the home page, click on DONATE.  Then, on the right side of the page, click on “Create Profile” to set up an account with your credit card.  A line item for “Court Street Yoga” has been set up to accept payments.  Simply follow the instructions to enter your information and create a password.  You can make recurring payments or pay a $10 drop-in fee per class for the number of classes you expect to attend.

Mats and Accessories:

Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats to practice, although there are a few in the studio.  Yoga blocks, blankets, and straps are available. Feel free to bring other items that you are comfortable using when you practice.  

Accessibility and Parking:

The 73 Court Street door will be unlocked 15 minutes before class time. Bathrooms are under the staircases on the entry level.  Proceed up the right or left staircase to the second floor, where classes are held.  There is a spot to leave your shoes and hang up coats near the left doorway.

Court Street parking meters are free until 9 am during the week.  Please do not park in the driveways adjacent to the Meetinghouse.  There are 2 free municipal lots close by, one at the intersection of Pleasant St and Junkins Ave. by South Mill Pond, and one at the intersection of Middle St. and Sagamore Ave next to the Margeson Apartment building.

For all weather-related cancellations, we will follow the Portsmouth School Department. Morning classes will be cancelled if thre is a delay; evening classes if there is an early dismissal. Please see: https://www.wmur.com/weather/closings**

WINTER SNOW PROCEDURE

In case of bad weather, we follow the Portsmouth School System.

If there is a delay or school is cancelled, class will be cancelled.
