How to Not Get Scammed by AI

BookSirens has a reviewer search feature that allows you to find reviewers: https://booksirens.com/book-reviewer-directory

Make a universal link at Books2Read (sister site of Draft2Digital) so that people who are not in your country can be directed to the correct buying platform (.com vs .au) and people who want to buy wide (when applicable) can do so without having to go hunting.

Other Random Resources:

Please note that everything in this is a work in progress. I can and will add to each project as I find more resources! If you would like to help with this and become an editor on one or more spreadsheet, please let me know and I’ll give you access!

Twitter/Social Media Advice:

  • Make a linktree and put it in your bio
  • Tell folks you’re an author in your bio
  • Tell folks whether or not you use AI in your bio
  • Have a pinned tweet about the book you’re currently promoting
  • Engage in community building activities that help other authors and readers

Social Media Bio Template:

Author of (genre/subgenre), no AI, (book-related affiliations), (personal touch), (linktree)

My Bio as an Example:

Author of Starlight Jewel, first book in the Gifts of the Auldtree series, no AI, is actually three raccoons in a peacoat, @SFFinsiders reviewer”

What to include in your linktree? Other social media accounts, substack/newsletter, author website, links to buy books, merch shop

Future projects I want to start on; comment if you’ve got contributions for them!

I am also working on a grammar/writing guide that will take me a long time, but I’ll post it here once I get ten chapters or so in.
