On July 7, 2019, the Null channel was created. The first "Points" video was published a month later. Later, videos referencing irl unsolved murders in Paderborn began to appear on the channel. The storyline evolved as new videos were published and soon the channel's author announced a return to his "past actions." In short, Null took up the murders again. He was encrypting the location of the victim and the date of the murder and put it in the video description and on his website.

Some videos show the bodies of the "new" victims after the purge. Purge is an operation which takes place on the 7th of July every year, during which Null kills two to five people. Sometimes he gives a chance to save the victim if the players can solve the puzzle in a given time. There are several anonymous groups solving this ARG, but to save the victim it is enough for one group to solve the salvation puzzle and mail the result. Depending on whether the puzzle is solved or not, several outcomes are possible: either Null kills the victim (salvation puzzle failed) or releases it (salvation puzzle solved).

As the channel grew and evolved, the puzzles became more complex. While regular puzzles have no time limit to solve, salvation and ascension puzzles have a time limit of 3 to 7 days. Originally the story included 3 characters (J, R, and C), but in the spring of 2021, character C apparently attempted to betray Null and was killed/terminated as evidenced by this.exe. The author of the channel quite rarely contacted the players directly, although we were given Null's email address but it was only possible to ask a question and get an answer in a certain period of time (salvation puzzle). Comments on the channel are "held for review", which creates a barrier to communication between different groups of people solving this ARG.

After a break of 1 month, Null publishes a new Neverback console app on his website. This console allows to load different fragments of the ciphers through special Load Codes. Some of them are still unsolved, since most of the puzzles are most likely locked by an encryption method unknown to us. Later, the first ascension puzzle appeared, which required solving the cipher from the "unknown" video. Probably another group was ahead of us and solved this puzzle.

On August 19, 2021, the "deadend" video was published, which as far as I understand, marked the end of the first act of the ARG and the beginning of the second. At the moment we are actively trying to solve all the mysteries given to us by Null and R.

Official Lore

Nullge Network was founded in 1984 by ████████ ██████, a well-known software developer at that time for Sinclair Research Ltd. Sinclair Research Ltd is a British consumer electronics company founded by Clive Sinclair in Cambridge. It was originally incorporated in 1973 as Westminster Mail Order Ltd, then renamed Sinclair Instrument Ltd, then Science of Cambridge Ltd, then Sinclair Computers Ltd and finally Sinclair Research Ltd. But software development was not the only occupation of ████████. He secretly set up his own organization to eliminate criminals and potentially dangerous people, as well as those who caused evil and destruction to ████████ himself. Before his death, ████████ bequeathed all rights to the company to his ████████. We call this man Null. He is currently in charge of the Nullge Network organization. The organization was originally made up of 12 people, but after 2019 we expanded to 25. The composition of the group has changed three times. The last change was made in October 2019. Our organization is decentralized and our members are located in different countries. Nevertheless, on July 7 each year, members come together to perform the Purge ritual. Thirteen days before Purge, we give our viewers a choice, we are giving them the right to kill the victim or let them live. In order to keep the victim alive, a small puzzle must be put together. If the viewers fail to solve the puzzle by July 7 and the number of "to kill" votes exceeds 50%, we kill the victim. If viewers failed to solve the puzzle in time, but the number of "to let them live" votes exceeds 50%, we give another week to solve the puzzle. In the end, the outcome of the victim depends on whether the puzzle is solved or not. Our organization honors the traditions of ████████, and we believe the world can still be made better.

I used https://www.dcode.fr/frequency-analysis to count up how many of each sequence there were.  There were 29 different ones, so I guessed that each one represented a letter and “fdafddfd” was a space.

The text also turned out to be backwards, and it works out as this.

Channel owner, The "Frontman"

Null is the same man who kills several people every year, while sharing the process with the audience, showing and explaining why a particular person deserved to die. He is a member of the Inner Circle. He is not known to be the only one who murders, some members of the Inner Circle help him in this as well. He is the creator of the channel of the same name. Does not have a face. Appears in some videos, wearing all-black/gray hooded clothing. Has never been in direct contact with players. At this time, we don't know his name, who he is or where he's from.

A companion/colleague of Null

He is also a member of the Inner Circle. Formerly the owner of the Zetsubo channel, the channel has now been removed by its creator. He is an active assistant of Null, also participates in the design and development of the channel. Wears a white mask (this became known from a deleted live broadcast). Much more outgoing than Null. Responsible for contacting players. Has never appeared in a video, except for a deleted live broadcast. Name and identity unknown.

This person has been in the project for quite a short period. It is known that he somehow betrayed the Inner Circle and was killed by Null.

The Inner Circle

The obscure organization. As we learned from the deleted live broadcast, includes 25 people. This organization is known to help "purge" the world of the "unworthy to live". It is suspected of killing several people in Germany and Canada between 2006 and 2016. It is not known who is behind the Inner Circle, since all of its members do not disclose information about themselves. The Inner Circle was also involved in the murder of unknown channel viewer.

After that last vigenered base32 I made a script to check for possible keys assuming it only carried printable bytes. Saw the remaining base85 (Also it looks like it's specifically the z85 charset variant) ciphertext mentioned a bit ago and edited to to work with that as well, but didn't find any keys of length >=5<=l<=23. That's not too surprising given the few +++++ chunks which can literally only carry non printable bytes. However, there are a few areas of continuous valid z85 chars that decode to at least something with no ciphers beforehand. For example if you take the chunk before the only space there's a run of valid chars of c5WbuFwiv<BlohHmX]r9KSenl[kwvQr8sCT(T:dq?{mkpy2Vmi=teCsKw=x)rJ*n{JDWw<{uyy=Bj-lqp-iyi?rXvQ%EQB6-Vcs7s6%bTb which after a few stacked z85 you eventually get .ç..ÔÕ..ï...ázRrneverback.Åo.2è-{Ù8..F

in fact all the runs I can see just seem to be repeating neverback. From what I can see at least a good lot of it is carrying the z85 for just neverback = zE[05A:&D!yx but instead of neverbackneverbackneverback > z85 it's the z85 for a single one pasted together

It been a space or newline that I didn't have in my version that changed the rest. Actually 's possible there's something else there other than just that repeated text, they differ after the zcg7:izipZzFS part but from what I checked it still looked the same, making me think it might've justreplacing all the removed < and >'s to be 100% sure would be impractically tedious and I can't think of any easy ways it could be automated
