We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced individual with deep expertise in AI/ML technologies to join our team as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR). This position will be a 6-18 month engagement and includes a fixed monthly salary.

As an EIR at Craft Ventures, you will work closely with our investment team and provide strategic guidance, expertise, and operational support to our portfolio, particularly as it relates to AI technology, and help us evaluate AI-related investment opportunities.

As an EIR, you would be responsible for:

  • Evaluating potential investments and providing due diligence support
  • Helping portfolio companies leverage AI to drive growth and innovation
  • Helping our team get up to speed on AI technology and the AI ecosystem
  • Attending weekly investment team meetings
  • Identifying an area of interest within AI or developing a business plan that leverages AI and working towards forming a team (or joining an early stage team) and starting a company
  • Identifying promising AI technologies, establishing relationships with leading AI startups, and bringing new investment opportunities to the firm
  • Building relationships with industry experts, entrepreneurs, and other investors

Experience required:

  • Proven track record as an operator or entrepreneur in the AI space
  • Deep understanding of the technology landscape and AI tech stack, including experience with LLMs, training models, and vector databases
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop investment theses, and formulate actionable strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and coach founders and executive teams
  • A robust network of contacts within the AI ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI technology and emerging trends, with a curiosity to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry
