Title: Snack Time Explorers: Feeding Curiosity & Growing Confidence
Description: Are you prepared to enhance your students' understanding and ownership of their health? We invite you to participate in a session that examines the benefits of the Snack Time Explorers Program and its contribution to the USDA's Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP) by expanding the scope of food education. Learn how our Food Education Standards can increase student interest in fresh produce, foster a healthy mindset, and engage the community. Title: Tracking Effort Using Heart Rate and RPE
Description: More data is needed to reflect student effort during physical education. Monitoring RPE, HR, and performance during activities should be standard as it provides several benefits. Incorporating RPE and HR monitoring into secondary physical education programs can promote a safer, more personalized, and effective learning experience that prepares students for a lifetime of health and fitness.

Title: Using a Trafficking Survivor’s Lens to Address Human Trafficking Learning Standards
Description: Participants will receive Human Trafficking 101 training designed specifically for teachers, followed by a presentation given by a human trafficking survivor. The New Jersey Student Learning Standards state that human trafficking education should be implemented in middle school through high school. This presentation is pertinent to educators who teach these grades; Teachers will be empowered with online/in-person safety information to convey to their students, as well as activities that they can implement in their classrooms.

In this session, learn to break the block into several distinct instructional strategies to help students get the most out of the PE time.

Title: All Stars Moving Together: Tips for Building an Effective CSPAP Partnership
Description: Presenters will describe the design and outcomes of an 8-year CSPAP partnership between an elementary school and university HPETE program called All Stars Moving Together (ASMT). Benefits of ASMT will be shared from the perspective of stakeholders, practitioners, researchers, college coaches, and children. Presenters will provide recommendations to create and maintain a sustainable CSPAP partnership to increase physical activity and nutrition knowledge for children while providing applied teaching experience for future professionals.

Title: Exploring Perceived Challenges of Teaching Secondary PE
Description: I conducted research that looked at how coordination and collaboration between physical education teachers and administration are key for providing highly effective instruction in PE. The aim of the study was to determine the perceived challenges of physical education teachers and school administrators and if these challenges influence their coordination and collaboration.

Title: Potential Impacts of Sun Exposure while Teaching PE
Description: The well-established link between heightened sun exposure and
skin cancer is widely acknowledged. Moreover, employing sun protective measures, such as sunscreen application and wearing long sleeved clothing, plays a pivotal role in mitigating the adverse effects of sun exposure. The vitality and fitness of physical education instructors are paramount, given their profound influence on the health and wellness of students. Therefore, the objective of this session is to present the initial survey results concerning the adoption of diverse sun protection strategies.

Description: Jazz Masterclass for visiting high school and college students by Barabra Angeline. The instructor's teaching at Rutgters University includes Jazz Dance, African Diasporic Movement Practices, History of Broadway Dance–a course which she authored–Broadway Dance Technique, Dance Studies, and Dance Improvisation.

Title: Hunnyball: A Fun and Engaging Way to Promote Teamwork in Physical Education
Description: Hunnyball is an engaging game designed to foster teamwork, athleticism, and fitness among students. Title: Incorporate AAP/CDC water safety guidelines into swimming lessons FAST
Description: YES / Flotation Aided Swim Training utilizes USCG life jackets which provide confidence, endurance, and stroke mechanics fast for all skill levels. These levels include 18 months - 98 years old, veterans, wounded warriors, panic-stricken patrons, and those with disabilities. In addition, there is no force submersion, 100% safety features, and maximum use of instruction time. Don’t miss this opportunity regarding the FAST presentation approved by the New Jersey Department of Health and the Department of Education.

Title: Beyond Behavior: Understanding the Spectrum of Discipline in Education- A journey through Trauma-Informed Practices, Positive Behavioral Interventions, and Diverse Support Strategies:
Description: In this presentation, we explored the multifaceted approach to discipline in education, emphasizing the importance of moving beyond traditional behavior management strategies. We will cover the impact of trauma on students and how trauma-informed practices can create a safe and supportive learning environment, discuss Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), highlighting its effectiveness in promoting positive behavior through proactive strategies rather than punitive measures, and delve into diverse support strategies, recognizing that each student has unique needs.

Title: Driver's Education for Teen E-Bike Riders
Description: This is a "Street Savvy Cycling" classroom designed for teenagers riding e-bikes. The presentation will provide a condensed version of the training available to families with teen e-bike riders. The principles are the same as the Street Savvy Cycling training presented at this conference in the past yet crafted to be more appealing to the teen audience.

Description: Laughter existed before humans had language, or a sense of humor. Yet, the primitive brain prioritized it for social bonding and cooperation. Description: We all know how difficult it can be to teach Volleyball in PE. It’s a challenging game that leaves students and teachers frustrated. With years of experience as a PE teacher, volleyball coach and clinic director, I’m here to share what I’ve learned as the best ways to teach volleyball to students. This session will progress from initial skill development to various lead up games, and into full game play.

Title: How to Rewire Your Breathing to Elevate Wellness & Performance
Description: Humans take around 20,000 breaths every day but not all breaths are created equal. The way that you breathe impacts every cell in your body which influences your nervous system, emotions, sleep, and mental performance. While using breathwork techniques to mitigate stress are helpful, the bigger value comes from proactively training the body to properly breathe. Learning this skill and practicing it will help you feel calmer throughout your day and improve the quality of your work.
