Due to explosive growth in our agency, we're looking for an Appointment Setter who can fill up our representatives' schedule by scheduling appointments.
Our representatives’ time is best spent in meetings with clients on Zoom, hence the main objective of the appointment setter is to book as many virtual appointments as possible for the representative to meet with.
All leads to dial on will be provided, so there will be no prospecting on your end. These also won't be cold calls.
The appointment setter’s job is to call clients (Insurance clients from Globe Life: AIL), have a conversation with them (scripts & training fully provided) and book an appointment based on a time appropriate for the client & the representative.
The point is to book an appointment, not sell them on the phone.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Make calls to book appointments on provided leads
- Use our App properly to make detailed comments on leads to keep a record of the conversation with the clients
- Provide a daily end of day report on progress & Weekly data reporting (MUST BE done on time)
- Consistent communication with the representative & team during your working hours
- Target 12-15+ appointments booked weekly, with a minimum of 8-10+ that show up
- 15-20+ dials every hour
- Complete our 5-day accelerator training program (not paid)
- Complete our 3-step recruiting process (Phone call interview, Zoom live role-play & accelerator training)
MINIMUM 6-hour shift.
Working hours: 10AM - 4PM EST (TORONTO TIME) - 30 hours weekly commitment (you can qualify for more hours based on performance).
Timing ranges are flexible and open to negotiation, but 6hrs daily is a bare minimum.
(There may be days where your working hours may be reduced based on demand for services).
MUST HAVE Qualifications (non-negotiables):
- Fluent in English
- Excellent active listening skills
- Punctual
- Able to be on Zoom virtually with video & mic on for the respective shift - Excellent communication skills
- Coachable
- Results oriented
- Handles rejection well (numbers game and law of averages mentality)
- Excellent internet connection (no disconnecting at all due to load shedding / must have a backup Ups/generator during the 6 hour shift)
*DO NOT APPLY IF you’re not able to keep your mic and video on during your shift with a GOOD internet connection*
- Fast cell phone (for calls/apps/emails) & laptop/tablet (for zoom)
- Looking for someone competitive, competent and laser-focused, who treats this like a career they want to grow in
Benefits & Compensation:
- Full training will be provided with ongoing mentorship
- Promotion path based on results
- 100% Remote
- Bi-weekly pay (Canadian Dollars)
- $3/hr + Tiered bonuses
(Our reps are earning 65k-90k+ monthly. Potential for 1-2 lakhs + monthly is attainable based on high performance)
As our agency scales from $100 million to $1 Billion/year in new sales, our appointment setting team will be a big part of this growth.
You’ll be expected to work on refining your skill outside of working hours to get better.
Only apply if you’re extremely serious about adding value to the organization, because when the organization’s goals are met, your goals will for sure be achieved.
*Since all of our reps are paid based off their sales and results, the majority of the pay for the appointment setter will also be based off their performance and results (based on appointments booked that show up). We as a team can’t afford to pay an appointment setter their income and hence assign them working days, if the results aren’t there, as the reps nor the company make any money until they’ve got appointments to see.
Hence this appointment setter will be someone laser focused on achieving results and going above and beyond to polish their skill set of active listening & tonality (empathy & building urgency) in order to book appointments that show up*.
If you think that you’d be a good fit, apply to qualify for an interview.

Script for Roleplay (voice note):
Hi (Member’s Name) *familiar tone* (LET THEM ANSWER)
(Member Name) its (Your Name), I’m one of the Policy Service Coordinators for American Income Life, your life insurance company, how are you doing today?
So we’ve got you at the following address___________, is that still correct?
Ok, so the reason for the call is that your file has been assigned to one of our Service (Managers / Representatives), (First Name of Agent). (He / She) will be handling some important updates on your policy.
When was the last time a Rep met with you? (repeat back what they said, like you are notating it)
Ok, perfect (it doesn’t matter what they say)
So they’re having us go over the updates over a Zoom call, you’re familiar with Zoom video calls right?
It only takes about 30 minutes to go over everything, depending on how many questions you might have. Do you have a spouse/common law partner at home?
So what shifts are you (both) working these days, are you on days or nights?
[If weekdays won’t work]: Do you work weekends too?
Provided that (Rep) can squeeze you in (on day), are you home for (the rest of (afternoon/evening)?
[figure out their schedule, prioritize the same day or within the next 2-days].
So (Rep Name) can squeeze you in at either (time) or (time), which works better for you (and spouse)? Great, I’ll schedule you for (time).
What’s your e-mail address so I can pen you in? (spell out e-mail, LETTER BY LETTER) & the number I’m calling you on, does it receive text messages (confirm cell number)
With (Rep) taking care of (over 8-10 members) (that day), (he/she) may be running a bit behind, which means your meeting can start between (time) and (time) (give at least 1-hour in between), that’s going to work for you (and spouse) right?
Okay great.
I'm going to text & email you the (Rep’s) details shortly after we’re off the phone, so you have a direct contact (if they don’t text, have them write it down appointment time, name & number of rep).
And Since this is a confirmed appointment, it’s important to make your appointment time, so please make a note on your schedule so it’s not missed - is that fair?
(If the member has a spouse): so that (spouse’s name) knows what’s going on, please do me a favor and let (him/her) know that (Rep) with American Income will be going over your benefits at (time).
Great, (Rep) will see you (and spouse’s name) on (date and time).
Have a great day!
[If not familiar with Zoom - help set it up]: I will help you get it setup so you can access your service visit, it’s super simple. You have access to an internet connection at home right? and Do you use a laptop, tablet or just your cell phone?
(If phone): is your smartphone Android or iPhone? [Then help set up through app store]
(If laptop/tablet): [Help them in understanding joining from the browser]
[Ensure that they have an email address]
