Parent Guidelines

We are so excited to be starting up this group and look forward to welcoming all children between the ages of 2-3 to attend.

What you need to know:

  • This is a drop off group. Please do not stay in the room longer than is necessary, this makes it difficult for the group leaders.
  • One parent is required to be in Shul at all times. This will allow us to reach you quickly in the event of an emergency, as safety is our top priority.
  • All children need to be able to communicate in some way and be able to walk.
  • Parents need to inform leaders of any allergies your child might have.
  • Snacks are provided. If you need to bring in for dietary purposes they must be nut free.
  • Parents are required to change their child’s diaper or take them to the toilet. A leader can come get you when needed.
  • Illness: if your child has been sick within 24 hours of Shabbat Youth Groups (e.g. fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, strep throat, pink eye, cough, etc) or if you child appears to be coming down with an illness, please do not bring your child to groups.
  • In the event the shul is evacuated for an emergency, please do NOT attempt to pick up your child from Groups. You should proceed directly outside, and you will be informed where to meet your child or we will bring them to you.
  • Once Shul is finished, before kiddush a child must be picked up promptly by a parent or sibling who is at least 12 years of age. No child will be discharged to anyone else other than the above, unless previously arranged with the youth leader on duty that week.
