Heya, guys! Mikhail here to do some tomfoolery: gonna calc something from this funny Mobile game. The premise of this game’s very simple: go through outer space to find other stranded astronauts and rescue them. Very simple premise. In case you’re curious: yes. This game was made by Capcom of Japan, by the same team that developed most of the games barring Keiji Inafune even.

How can this be even calculate, though? Surely there’s no quantifiable way to calculate this, right? Well… There is actually. In the background of Level 1, it seems like Saturn is there. And then as he treks through space up to Level 8 of this game, Rock comes across what appear to be black holes. Naturally existing ones given he just finds them in his outer space trek.

So… one could say that he traveled the distance from the Solar System to the nearest black hole.

According to this, the closest black hole to Earth is 1,600 light years away. Calculating the timeframe will be a little more tricky, however. I will assume a low-end and a high-end. The low-end will be assuming that it took Rock in actuality 5 minutes to rescue all of the astronauts in each level + him getting to the next level. So… 5 x 8 is 40 minutes.

Speed: 1600 light years or 1.5137e+19 meters / 40 minutes or 2400 seconds = 6.30708E+15 m/s or 21,038,154c (Massively FTL+)

And as for the high-end… In the level, it takes 1 minute for his fuel tank to run out without picking up any refills along the trek, and the transition levels take around… 8 seconds. There are 7 levels and 8 transitions so… (60 seconds x 7) + (8 seconds x 8) = 484 seconds.

Speed: 1.5137e+19 meters / 484 seconds = 31274800000000000 m/s or 104,321,504c (Massively FTL+)

If you do decide it’s fine to use this game, then everyone just scales to Millions C via scaling to Rock + X era peeps via their tech just outright being > Classic Era lol

Any reason to use this? Well… it was made by the same people responsible for most of the MM games minus Keiji Inafune + it was made and released by Capcom themselves. Granted, it was never stated to be canon, so you can guess what the potential problem is. Although vice-versa was also never stated so… Wooohoo…
