UT Boys Rec Soccer Grades 6 7 8 Fall ‘25

All boys 6th, 7th, and 8th grade games begin at 10:30am. Arrive 15 mins early to park and warm up with your team. Games will be played at the Tyler Davis Complex located in the back of Amanda’s Field.  As always, please be cautious of players and families walking to/from all fields.

• 1 practice per week is at your coach’s discretion.
• Please direct all questions to your head coach and they can reach out to rec coordinators.
• Stay positive and encourage all players!
• Offsides should be enforced, no cherry-picking! NOTE: Our refs are UT Middle School students/travel players, please treat them respectfully and age-appropriate. Their participation is appreciated!
• No direct kicks, substitute throw-ins, or corner kicks.

6-8th Grade Rules

1. 7v7 (6 Field Players and 1 Goalie = 7 total)
2. Six, 7 minute periods (running clock)
3. Ball #5
4. Alternate kickoffs each period
5. Change sides at half
6. All rules of soccer, including offsides, except NO DIRECT KICKS OR PENALTY SHOTS (sub corner, drop ball or throw).
7. Must wear shinguards!
8. Rubber cleats only (sneakers allowed but NOT recommended)
9. Equal playing time and position rotation in effect
10. Sub between periods or injuries, not during the game
11. Players Play, Coaches Coach, Refs Ref, and have a great time!
