AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held the week of January 6th. Fourth and fifth grade students who are interested in a speaking role will be asked to sign up via ParentSquare for a three-minute audition time slot for Tuesday, Jan. 6 or Wednesday, Jan. 7. During auditions, students will be asked to perform a 1-minute prepared song selection of their choice (preferably from a musical) and read a script selection, which will be provided. Thursday and Friday, Jan. 8-9 will be reserved for callbacks. Mrs. Bergeron will inform students if they need to attend callbacks. Students who are only interested in being a part of the Ensemble do NOT need to audition. All auditions will take place at the Upper Campus Music Room.
CASTING: All students who wish to be a part of the musical will be cast, but not everyone will receive a speaking role. Casting list will be emailed on Friday, January 9th.
REHEARSALS: Students are expected to be available to attend all weekly rehearsals. Rehearsals will be after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Inability to attend all rehearsals may affect casting. Attendance for choreography, dance, dress, and tech rehearsals and performances are mandatory for ALL CAST. Please see rehearsal schedule (page 2) and mark your calendars accordingly!
PERFORMANCES: There will be four performances – Thursday, April 23 at 6:00 pm, Friday, April 24 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, and April 25 at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Performances will be at Hillview Middle School, PAC.
STAGE CREW: If your child is interested in helping with stage crew (lights, set, props, etc.), they must be available to attend the last 2 weeks of rehearsals, including tech and dress rehearsals, and performances. Spaces are limited. Priority will be given to fifth graders. Please fill out the Google form and indicate your child’s interest in STAGE CREW on the Google form https://tinyurl.com/LROliverJr
VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed for costumes, photography, publicity, t-shirts, chorus party, concessions, and tickets. All parents are required to join at least one volunteer committee. There will be a virtual Parent Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 7:00 p.m. Please let me know if you are interested in heading up a committee.
