Join Us:

Please join the global Plum Village Community as we walk and breathe mindfully and practice walking meditation together across 24 countries and +77 towns on the same day: Saturday, November 30th. This annual walk in our Plum Village/Thich Nhat Hanh tradition began in 2008. For the first time, cities across the U.S. will participate, including the Community of Mindfulness New York Metro (CMNY/Metro). This year’s theme, Touching Simplicity, invites us to connect deeply with ourselves, each other, and nourish the collective energy of peace.

Details:

  • We plan to begin at the UN Plaza and walk north towards Central Park, passing some of the key Missions of countries currently experiencing conflicts in the world.
  • Our ending point: the Arsenal in Central Park to enjoy tea together
  • WhatsApp group for coordination the day of, please join: WhatsApp Group

Why Walk:

Thich Nhat Hanh, our beloved Teacher or Thây (Teacher) had given us a path of mindfulness to practice together for our own and the world’s solidity and joy. Walking Meditation is an embodiment of our mindfulness practice. Let us walk together in NYC and join the international collective practice.
