Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors:
All freshman through junior students will be required to take the ISASP (Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress) this spring. Testing will take place on April 8 and 9 and April 15 and 16 during specific block periods. These tests are an important tool for our school to measure progress towards our academic work here at Western. We will also be using data from this testing to determine eligibility for taking college courses, participation in CTE, and work release. It is essential that you do your best work on this testing.
Please do your best to be here during the block days during these two weeks. Any missed testing will need to be made up before Friday, April 24. Each test takes approximately one hour. If you know you will have a conflict, please be proactive about reaching out to Mrs. Wilson to schedule make up testing. There are over 230 students taking a total of 779 tests so please do not make me chase after you to complete missing tests.
Please make sure you have something to do if you finish testing early as electronic devices are NOT allowed to be used during the testing periods. Students who are disruptive during testing will be required to complete testing before school in an isolated setting rather than in their assigned classrooms.
