  1. Each player is allowed to register for a maximum of 2 events.
  2. Each event shall have a minimum of 16 entries. In an event when there are fewer than 16 entries, the Organising Committee reserves the right to scrap the event or to reduce the prize money.
  3. Entries are accepted on a first come first serve basis. The Organising Committee reserves the right to accept more than the maximum number of entries received by the closing date.

  1. It is the responsibility of each individual player to check your entries online from the Organiser to ensure that it is accepted.
  2. No late, unclear, and incomplete entries will be entertained.

  1. Each participant will be entitled to ONE Tournament T-shirt, which will be given during registration.

Refund Policy

There shall be no refund in all cases, including but not limited to:

  • Walkovers/ retires or withdrawal from the competition
  • Missing entries
  • Ineligibility and/ or disqualification of players

  1. A player can participate in his / her age group or a higher age group event but not in a lower age group event.
  2. Age eligibility will be determined based on birth year.
  3. Full-time national players in 2026, regardless of nationality, shall not be eligible to participate in this tournament.
  4. Tournament Organisers reserve the right to check for eligibility from players during the tournament. Any player found to have breached the eligibility will be disqualified immediately from the Tournament, and there will be NO refund of the entry fee and no ranking points will be awarded.

Ranking Points

This tournament will follow the Tier 2A Ranking Points system. For more details, please head to:

Ranking points are only applicable for Singaporeans, Singaporean Permanent Residents and Long-term Pass Holders for all events.

Ranking points will only be awarded when players qualify for the main draw.

Seeding

The tournament seeding will be based on:

  1. SBA National Ranking as of 30th September 2026 Wednesday.

  • The tournament Referee will decide the number of seedings for each category.
  • The Referee will conduct a draw to determine the ranking if there are 2 or more players with the same ranking points.

Draw Date

An open draw will be conducted on:

  • Date: 12th November 2026, Thursday
  • Time: TBC
  • Venue: Singapore Badminton Association, 5 Stadium Dr, #02-40 OCBC Arena

The draw will be conducted by the Tournament Organiser in the presence of the Referee and / or SBA secretarial staff.

Tournament Regulations (Conditions of Play)

Withdrawal before Draw

A player no longer taking part in the competition / a category before the start of the competition.

Please ensure that the Tournament Referee and the Organizer are notified immediately in writing or email, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal before the commencement of the tournament.

The player is allowed to participate in the
other events.

No ranking points will be awarded for the event that the player has withdrawn.

Withdrawal after Draw

The player is NOT ALLOWED to participate in the
other events.

No ranking points will be awarded for the player in all events.

Walkover

A player fails to turn up for their respective matches and
concedes a walkover.

The opponent wins the match without
having to compete.

The player who concedes a walkover shall no longer be allowed to compete in other events for the rest of the tournament.

Ranking points are given to the stage the player has completed.

Retire

A player turns up for the match but stops participating in the competition because of illness or injury.

The opponent wins the match.

The player who retires from an event shall no longer be allowed to compete in all other events for the rest of the tournament.

  1. This tournament will be conducted in accordance with, but not limited to, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Statutes and General Competition Regulations (GCR). In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Tournament Referee will be final.
  2. Alternate Service Laws will be applied for this tournament (BWF Statutes Section 9.1.6)
  3. All the events will be played on a Single Knockout system.
  4. The scoring system will be based on the best of 3 games of 21 points for all events.
  5. There shall be no replacement/substitution of players once the entries have been submitted.
  6. All players must report to the desk officials at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time of their matches.
  7. A grace period of maximum 5 minutes will be given for all matches. Failing which the player will concede a walkover for the particular match.
  8. All players must bring along their photo identification for verification purposes at all times.
  9. Outcome for withdrawal, walkover and retirement of matches. No appeal shall be entertained.
  10. The orientation of the badminton court may differ between courts and assignment of court is at the discretion of the technical officials.
  11. Any protest lodged by the player must be done at the time of the ruling and on-site, and to seek the ruling from the Tournament Referee, if necessary. Failure to do so will void any future right to protest. The Tournament Referee shall have the final decision on all technical and tournament matters.
  12. All players are required to wear non-marking court shoes during the competition.
  13. After their match, players are required to stay and assist with the line judging for the next match. Failure to comply may lead to disqualification. Additionally, players may be randomly selected to serve as line judges for the first round of matches in the session.
  14. The Tournament Referee shall have the final decision on all technical and tournament matters. The Organising Committee shall have the final decision on all administrative matters.
  15. All doubles pairs are required to wear identical attire from QF onwards. (ie. same design and colour).
  16. Coaches and parents/guardians must wear appropriate attire, including long pants and covered shoes, and avoid sleeveless tops and Crocs when seated in the coach’s seat.
  17. A maximum of one coach is permitted per side, regardless of whether it is a singles or doubles match.
  18. Coaching Regulations:
  1. ONLY certified FULL NROC coaches are permitted to be seated behind the courts for coaching purposes. Coaches must present their NROC e-card as proof of certification. Players holding an SBA member ID are required to be coached exclusively by NROC-certified coaches.
  2. Coaches without a valid NROC certification will not be allowed to coach from the bench but may observe matches as spectators.
  3. This regulation may be waived for foreign participants and their coaches who may not be NROC certified. Foreign coaches must provide photo ID documentation that confirms their coaching credentials in their home country, with details that match their passport particulars. The Tournament Organiser and Referee Team reserve the right to further review these documents and may reject any that cannot be verified or request additional evidence for validation.
  4. The above regulation stated in Points 18 (i and ii) does not apply to local participants competing in U9, U11 and U13 categories.

Prize Presentation Ceremonies

  1. All prize ceremonies will be on 4th December 2026, Friday,  immediately after the last final.
  2. In accordance with Player Commitment Regulations (BWF Statute 5.3.6), all players participating in the semi-finals / finals of a tournament must attend the final ceremonies directly after the match or must follow the instructions given by the organisers regarding ceremony protocol.
  3. No equipment, including rackets and flags, are allowed to be brought onto the podium. No slippers and / or singlets allowed.
  4. Prize winners are to proceed to the prize presentation booth after the ceremony with their photo IDs to collect their prize money.
  5. Substitutes can collect prizes on behalf of prize winners. Prize winners must send a memo or text message indicating the name of their substitute. Substitutes must present a valid ID for verification before collecting prizes. All prizes will be forfeited after the final day.
  6. The Organising Committee reserves the right to modify and explain the rules and format of the tournament, to change the event details if there is a need to do so.

Video Recording and Photography

  1. Photography is only permitted if there is no interference / disturbance to the play. No flash photography/ videography allowed.
  2. Video recording within the competition venue is not permitted. The Tournament Organiser reserves the right to remove any equipment if they deem that the devices are causing any obstruction to the players, officials, and spectators.
  3. All participants shall agree to give SBA and the Tournament Organiser the rights, including permission to film players and coaches during all matches and activities around the tournament, for any commercial, news or other purpose together with the right to transfer such right, including without compensation.

Medical Services

  1. A medical officer / first aider will be available throughout the tournament.
  2. Under the ITTO 3.6.1.2 rule, the Tournament Doctor, Medical Team, and First Aiders are no longer permitted to apply spray to players during matches. However, players may use their own spray themselves, or have it administered by their doctor or coach, but only during intervals.

Indemnity

  1. All players who have signed up for the competition will be deemed to have read and accepted the prospectus terms, rules and regulation.
  2. The Organiser will not be responsible or in any way liable for any personal health and medical-related incidents, death, disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss at any time during the course of this tournament.
  3. The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions set out in this prospectus at its sole discretion without prior notice. For key updates to the tournament, reasonable notice will be provided on the tournament website and disseminated through the Organising Committee’s official page.
  4. All participants or supporters that are involved in this competition shall be responsible for the care taking of their personal belongings. The Organising Committee will NOT be held liable for any loss or damages incurred and it will be attributed to the negligence of the rightful owner.

Gameplay:

  1. Time of play is subjected to change at the discretion of the Organiser.
  2. Prize presentation will be conducted after the last match (schedule to be confirmed).
  3. The schedule is subjected to change at the discretion of the Organising Committee (based on the number of entries received).
  4. Start of play will be based on the number of entries and will be published on the tournament website.
  5. Tournament schedules will not be emailed to participants; participants should frequently check the tournament website for updates of schedules.

Additional Information:

  1. The Organising Committee reserves the right to interpret or amend the rules and regulations of the tournament at any time. Notification of such changes will be posted on the FB Page. All participants are advised to visit the site(s) frequently for any announcements or changes to draws / schedules.
  2. The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the match fixtures / schedule at any time. Participants must check the tournament software each time (up to 2 hours before their scheduled time of play) for any change.
  3. The Organising Committee endeavours to provide the most updated information in this prospectus and we reserve the right to alter some of the information in the prospectus if necessary.
  4. Payments made are strictly non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation.
