The purpose of this document is to gain a better understanding of what has been said about another dimension throughout the history of Kirby, especially in the original Japanese. I evidently don’t know Japanese and the translations are just there for context, it’s only really the terms used for another dimension that matter.
Blue text represents the official English localization. Red text represents the original Japanese text. Purple text is my translation of the Japanese. Green text is my explanation. I was somewhat inconsistent with whether I kept the games’ colored text here as bolded.

Magolor says that an 異空間ロード ikuukan rōdo (other dimensional road, or maybe another dimension’s road if you’re trying to keep it singular), interdimensional tunnel in English, connects Pop Star and Halcandra.
To cut to the chase, Star Allies later very clearly states that 異空間 ikuukan is meant to be the same term as アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon (another dimension).
Magolor also mentions Halcandra is his 故郷 which means ‘hometown’, usually specifying the place someone was born and raised, not just where they live.

This ship is packed with technology from my homeland, it’s a very sacred vehicle. It can pass through other dimensions, and sometimes it can even fight! Depending on the passenger’s heart, it can become a variety of ships. When it’s completed, I want to go on a journey somewhere far away with you.
Magolor says the Lor can cross over/pass through 異空間 ikuukan another dimension/other dimensions. On an unrelated note, turns out he’s more literally saying that the ship can serve different functions depending on what the user wants rather than just ‘it can do anything if you’re good’ like the English seems to say.
Evil Sphere Doomers have come to Planet Popstar from another dimension, drawn by the lost Energy Spheres… This one is huge!

Countless Sphere Lowpers came to Popstar drawn by the energy of Spheres that crosses dimensions… Their boss appears!
Rather than mentioning Sphere Doomers coming another dimension directly, the Japanese just mentions “次元を超えるエネルギー” ‘energy that crosses dimensions’, regarding the Energy Spheres instead, with dimension being 次元 jigen rather than the 空間 kūkan earlier, where kūkan more directly means ‘space’ or ‘location’.
The lost Energy Spheres have created dimensional rifts. The Grand Doomer has emerged from one such rift!

Through the energy of Spheres scattered in countless worlds, holes of another dimension are created here and there...from 1 of them, Grand Lowper comes!
異空間の 穴 ikuukan no ana meaning ‘hole of another dimension’ is the japanese name for the Dimensional Rifts. Seeing as this description is basically a more detailed rewording of the Story Mode description, the phenomenon of energy of the spheres that are crossing 次元 jigen dimensions is in fact the 異空間の 穴 or the cause of it, which means 次元 jigen is basically also being used to refer to another dimension that Doomers originate from.

Magolor specifies here that Halcandra is in 別の世界 betsu no sekai ‘another world’, which is not Kirby’s world. 異 is very similar to 別, the former is ‘different’ while the latter is ‘another’ but they basically serve the same purpose here, though 異 might imply that what’s being described is strange/irregular as well.

HR-D3 is from 別次元 betsu jigen ‘another dimension’ but of course this is not the term ikuukan that’s used to describe the Doomer location, but 次元を超える jigen on koeru is ‘cross dimensions’, same as in the Sphere Doomer description describing the Energy Spheres.
The most powerful warrior in the galaxy who somehow drifted into this universe from another dimension. What a dream battle!

The Japanese text does not capitalize ‘another dimension’ like a proper location (Even though it should do it regardless since this is a title, which is why it’s capitalized in the localization), despite the fact that it capitalizes both words in the names of all the other Level names in the game, Nuts Noon, Egger Engines, etc.

Magolor’s attack in which he draws the field in the background and sends it forth as a damaging area is called アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon in guidebooks. This name is reflected in the game’s code as well, and other attacks named in guidebooks would later match attacks listed in Star Allies for Magolor.

This is the track that plays when you enter a Dimensional Rift with your Super Ability, which the album describes as the ‘another dimension stage’. So even without Star Allies we know that the 異空間 ikuukan is in fact アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon.

Galacta Knight is described as being from a 異世界 isekai different world, which is what the game describes Halcandra in the theater.
We had the inter-dimensional rift areas in Kirby’s Return to Dreamland which played a similar role, but in those stages the aim was to go back to basics and showcase Kirby’s original inhaling and spitting abilities, in contrast to his powerful Copy Abilities.
同じ様な特別なステージとして「星のカービィWii」には「異空間」というステージがありましたが、
こちらのステージでは、強力なコピー能力とは違い、カービィの原点に帰って「吸って吐いて」を活かした遊びがテーマとなっていました。
While the English miiverse post calls them “inter-dimensional rift areas”, Kumazaki just says 「異空間」というステージ ‘stage called “another dimension”’ in Japanese.
そして、カービィ達がランディアを倒した後、マホロアはポップスターを支配するため、異空間の穴を開け、穴を閉ざさずに飛び去ります。
じつはそのシーン用に「マヌケ顔で 見テルがイイヨォ！」と、支配する姿を見せつけるようなセリフを用意していたのですが、デモの尺の関係からカットしました。結果的には大事な場面で油断をする、彼らしい演出になったと思います。
Then, after Kirby and company defeat Landia, in order to bring Popstar under his control, Magolor creates a hole of another dimension, and flies away without closing the hole. Actually, for that scene, I wrote a line where he originally said “You should see the dumb look on your faces!” to demonstrate his control, but I cut it because of the length of the cutscene. As a result, I think it turned out to be a very typical direction for him, letting his guard down in an important scene.
This paragraph seems to have been cut from the localization of the Return to Dream Land anniversary post.

So, to summarize what we know from RtDL:
Sphere Doomers come from 異空間 ikuukan which is also called アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon, and the game directly writes this in English as ‘another dimension’.
The Lor is able to cross 異空間 another dimension.
The energy of Energy Spheres crosses 次元 jigen dimensions and creates 異空間の 穴 ikuukan no ana ‘holes of another dimension’, or Dimensional Rifts as we know them.
Halcandra is a different 世界 sekai world from the one Popstar is in.
An 異空間ロード ikuukan rōdo ‘another dimension road’ or interdimensional tunnel connects Halcandra and Popstar. This is where the final battle takes place, though the Level 8 name just calls it アナザーディメンション another dimension.
Galacta Knight and HR-D3 drifted from 別次元 betsu jigen another dimension, which should mean HR-D3 is not native to Halcandra since that’s where his fight takes place. However, Galacta Knight’s album track name uses the term 異世界 isekai which the game also used to describe Halcandra, but of course he’s probably just from yet another world.

This track name originates from Dedede’s Drum Dash, though the English localization Distant Traveler is actually a translation of his RtDL theme that was named in Kirby Wii Music Selection 彼方からの旅人マホロア Magolor, The Distant Traveler instead of the name given in Drum Dash. For some reason.
This is the first instance I see where they use 異空 ikuu which is 異空間 ikuukan without the third character. Alone, 空 sora means sky.
"Magolor’s whereabouts are uncertain after Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, but he seems pretty lively here. After roaming around the dimension beyond space and time, he might’ve found an exit. When Kirby and his friends returned home, maybe Magolor traveled around building theme parks in different worlds.
彼はカービィWiiのクライマックスに消息不明となりますが、こうしてアトラクションの中で元気な姿を見るに、時空を越えるあの異空間で迷いながらも、ひょっこりどこかの出口から脱出できたのでしょうか。

Developer miiverse posts imply Security Force and Star Dream’s blueprints were found on Halcandra or a place similar to it. Haltmann refers to this place as 銀河の かなた ginga no kanata, and this kanata is the same 彼方 kanata that describes Magolor as the ‘distant traveler’ many times.

This time, 異空間ロード ikuukan rōdo ‘another dimension road’ was translated as ‘extra-dimensional road’ instead of ‘interdimensional tunnel’ like in RtDL. This may be why the European English version of PR elected to continuously translate 異空間 ikuukan as ‘extra dimension’, to keep consistent within the game how it’s translated, and maybe the translator didn’t like translating it as ‘another dimensional road’ or any such variant which admittedly sounds pretty stupid.
Anyway, for some reason Star Dream seems to say he’s ‘rebooting’ this road. Whatever that means, it seems to tell us that Galacta Knight is either within the RtDL final boss area, or somewhere around Halcandra where the other side of the road is. Alternatively, there are multiple of these other-dimensional roads, but I doubt that, since Galacta Knight seems to be repeatedly tied to Halcandra loosely already. Of course, this adds the element that the other-dimensional road can also lead to a different location in time as well.

An ancient swordsman who can destroy everything due to his strength. Not a clone, he was awakened from an unknown another dimensional road beyond space-time. Records remain that he has been sealed in various eras, but he has never been terminated.
Here, the extra-dimensional road is described as 未知なる unknown.
Ishida: While we’re on the topic of Meta Knightmare Returns, Galacta Knight was supposed to be sealed away in a crystal, but he broke that seal and showed up again in The True Arena. Are Meta Knightmare Returns and The True Arena connected at all in relation to the story?
Kumazaki: The True Arena is like another “what if” scenario, so you can’t really consider everything to be connected. Furthermore, the extra-dimensional road that opens up when Galacta Knight appears transcends space-time, so it’s difficult to give it a concrete place in the timeline. But if you consider the stages in which Galacta Knight appeared in the past three games, I think that will give you some food for thought.
「メタナイトでゴー リターンズ」といえば、クリスタルに封印されたギャラクティックナイトが、「真 かちぬきボスバトル」では封印を破って再登場しましたよね。この2つのモードの物語には、つながりがあるのですか？
「真 かちぬきボスバトル」も「if」という設定なので、全てがつながっているわけではありません。
また、ギャラクティックナイトの出現時に開く異空間ロードは時空を超えた存在のため、時系列で並べるのは難しいんです。ですが、過去3作でのギャラクティックナイトの出現時の場面を並べて推測すると、ロマンが広がると思いますよ。
Ishida: The name Star Dream came up just now. Could you tell us how Haltmann got his hands on the blueprints and technology for Star Dream? Others also noted that the Security Force blueprints bore similarities with Metal General from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, and the data for Holo Defense API resembled Pix from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Haltmann travelled to numerous planets around the galaxy to collect their blueprints and technology. He may have gone to Halcandra, or perhaps to a planet with strong connections to it. As for Holo Defense API, Haltmann gained access to numerous different worlds after Susie was accidentally sent into another dimension and this is how he acquired that data.

Haltmann visited various planets in the galaxy for Star Dream and Security Force’s blueprints and technology, likely related to Halcandra. But apparently Susie being sent into another dimension allowed Haltmann to gain access to various worlds. While the game suggests Susie obtained the data for Holo-Doomers from another dimension, this suggests all the other Holo Defense API monsters were a result of Susie’s accident.

While the english localization revives the term ‘dimensional rift’ from the English RtDL, the term used here is 次元のさけ/ 次元の裂け jigen no sake ‘dimensional tear’ while the dimensional rift in RtDL was called 異空間の 穴 ikuukan no ana ‘another dimensional hole’. Perhaps this is to clarify that these aren’t dimensional tears relating to that another dimension?

First ‘a distant lost bird’ and now ‘a distant beautiful traveler’, both using かなた からの kanata kara no as with Magolor’s title. It sounds a bit awkward here and could also be written as ‘a beautiful invader from beyond’, or even ‘a beautiful invader from the other side’. (...Or you can just change the word order and have it sound fine with ‘a beautiful distant invader’.) 彼方 kanata is a very vague term.
And once again, 次元の さけ jigen no sake dimensional tear.

Parallel Susie is from a 異世界 isekai different world. With this term used and being from an ‘unknown civilization’ terms used in Planet Robobot possibly relating to Halcandra, did perhaps Parallel Susie come from there? It wouldn’t be a surprise for someone who was lost in another dimension, a road between Popstar and Halcandra, to have in fact ended up in Halcandra.

The king of darkness, who emerged from the distorted black mirror, has been sealed in a distant dimension by the power of Kirby and company.
Taranza, who was influenced by the magic power of the mirror, regains his sanity, and the original peaceful days have returned to the Pupupu Kingdom.
次元の 彼方 jigen no kanata is ‘distant dimension’ here. Now, of course, we’re shown Kirby and co. placing King D-Mind within the Black Mirror before destroying it, so rather than another dimension that relates to RtDL, he’s probably sealed in the TKCDX version of the Mirror World. It brings to mind whether Parallel Susie is instead also from this dimension King D-Mind was sealed in, since she bears his logo.

Francisca and Flamberge call this place 別次元 betsu jigen, the term used in RtDL regarding HR-D3 and Galacta Knight. Flamberge also calls it イクウカン ikuukan, using Katakana instead of Kanji. Flamberge’s tweet also restates that another dimension crosses both space and time. Flamberge and Zan also call it 別の世界 betsu no sekai. Then, of course, Zan drops the massive lore bomb telling us the name of another dimension is Another Dimension.
But seriously, her text clarifies that another dimension basically is the extra-dimensional road.

There’s an important quirk to this text here. Whenever Kanji is used, above the kanji will be a pronunciation guide in Hiragana. However, sometimes in Star Allies, they will place a different word here. In this case, rather than having 異空間 pronounced as いくうかん ikuukan (Which they have done before), the game writes 異空間 as アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon.
As well, this text also says 空間に 開いた 穴は a hole in space opened, space being 空間 which they still have normally as くうかん kuukan. Remember that rather than any recognizable dimensional rift from before, Hyness sunk into the ground at the end of Guest Star when playing with DLC Dream Friends.

Courtesy once translated 異界の面樹 as ‘The underworld's face-tree’. 異界 ikai means spirit world, underworld, the next world aka the after life usually, or just alien world, another world, etc. Since Whispy and Kracko are a coalescence of the spirits of defeated brethren, this definition makes sense as well. With the phrasing ‘hole to another dimension’, we know 異界 ikai another world is the same as 異空間 ikuukan / アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon another dimension. If… it somehow wasn’t obvious enough.

As stated here and in Zan’s dialogue earlier, the scenario of Heroes in Another Dimension is that you are traveling through 異界 ikai another world, which leads to various 次元 jigen dimensions AKA Dimension I, II, III, IV, until you reach the end. So another dimension actually leads to several dimensions and not just Halcandra. Speaking of, if the other end of the extra-dimensional road is Halcandra, does that mean that by reaching the end of another dimension as stated here, you’re basically right by Halcandra at the end of this mode? Shame we didn’t see the place directly.

Amplifying the power inherited from the white knight daily, that power is finally made into his own. Now, welcome the dusk… of the Day of Judgement by the black Paradise Butterfly who has manifested its true power!
The butterfly of paradise originates from 異空間 / アナザーディメンション anazādimenshon another dimension and travels 次元 jigen dimensions.
On an unrelated note, I’ve never seen anyone translate 極蝶 as anything other than just ‘butterfly’. 極 is a word that essentially means extreme. It’s used in the term 極楽 paradise here, as opposed to 楽園 paradise used elsewhere in Star Allies when mentioned regarding the Mage-Sisters and Void. The Super+ rank also uses it in Super Kirby Clash, being 極超 which internal data labels as “Uber”.
It’s also used in the incredibly notable terms 太極 taiji ’supreme pole’ and 無極 wuji ‘without pole’. Pole as in like… a goal or boundary, just take it as ‘ultimate point’. These are terms labeling the origination of the universe in asian philosophies.
Where the taiji is the supreme ultimate, the highest possible power, represented by the mixing of yin (darkness) and yang (light) eventually separating into duality, while wuji is the limitless, the infinite power, indiscernible chaos, the one, which existed before the universe.
Uhhh, basically wuji is The Original Dragon Kyurem and taiji are Reshiram and Zekrom. That’s also why Kyurem is the “Boundary” Pokemon. Taiji is the great boundary and wuji is the boundless.

The album continues with 異空 ikuu ‘another sky’, while 5-19 gives a name for the track relative to both Star Allies and Return to Dream Land while using ‘another sky’ for RtDL.
Additionally, as I proposed earlier, the music in the Final Dimension reuses Halcandra’s map theme, and bases its title off of it as well. Since the Final Dimension is the end of another dimension, and Halcandra is on the other end of the extra-dimensional road, you were actually just shy of reaching Halcandra...
Though this isn’t the only track that reuses the term 遥か haruka, as 遥か、きらめきの勇者たち Far Off, Sparkling Heroes (Far-Flung Starlight Heroes map name) and 遥か、冒険の旅の果てに Far Off, At the End of an Adventurous Journey also use the term.

Now the Greater Doomer is also described as being from 異世界 isekai a different world, so any possibility that isekai is specifically a term used for Halcandra is gone, since we already know Doomers are from another dimension specifically and not Halcandra.

Here, Parallel Nightmare is a wizard of 異世界 isekai another world unlike the other times which used 異界 ikai. If this is not assumed to be a mistake, that would mean 異世界 is interchangeable with 異界 and just another term for another dimension as well, not distinct from another dimension and its many Japanese names.
He also has a 次元の マントで jigen no manto dimensional mantle.

Super Team Kirby fought as no one ever had
to restore peace to the Dream Kingdom.
They ended the uproar in the kingdom that
had been instigated by the vile wizard.
Team Kirby had cornered Parallel Nightmare,
but the villain used a dimensional rift to call
the ancient hero called "the most powerful
in the galaxy."
Their tears having run dry and feeling near
defeat, Team Kirby nonetheless dug deep,
worked together, and defeated the ancient
hero at last.
And, with that, a beautiful crescent moon
shining in the night sky, true peace returned
to the Dream Kingdom.
And from that day on, we were free to fluff
up our pillows and drift off to sleep
whenever we wanted...

The four-person Super Kirby Hunters fought to restore peace to the Pupupu Kingdom.
The feral chaos that took place in the kingdom started with the appearance of Another Nightmare, a wizard of a different world.
After the battle, Another Nightmare was cornered, but an ancient hero who is said to be the strongest in the galaxy is called from a dimensional tear.
Even though they were teary and seemed discouraged, Kirby and company joined forces as 4 to defeat the ancient hero.
This will bring true peace back to the kingdom. A beautiful crescent moon is shining in the night sky.
From today on, you can likely fluff your pillow and get to sleep...
The Aeon Hero was called from a 次元のさけ jigen no sake dimensional tear like they were called in TKCD again. Also interesting to think about how Parallel Susie comes out of the RtDL/PR/TKCD style dimensional hole while Parallel Nightmare brings King D-Mind and Galacta Knight out of Heroes in Another Dimension styled holes. But honestly I don’t think there’s supposed to be a difference.

異世界 isekai and 異界 ikai are interchangeable.
...I don’t think we got anything else from that.
Another Dimension is the name of the dimension that has (or literally is just) the interdimensional tunnel/extra-dimensional road that connects Popstar and Halcandra.
Another Dimension leads to various dimensions (such as the 4 dimensions in Star Allies, with the Final Dimension at its end) and transcends space-time.
Sphere Doomers nest here.
The Lor can access Another Dimension and the energy of Energy Spheres cause Dimensional Rifts.
Hyness also opened a Dimensional Rift (the… pool at the Altar?) by praying continuously.
Parallel enemies in TKCD and SKC are parallel because they come from another world.
Parallel enemies in Star Allies also originate from another world, but somewhat notably all of them were born there from spirits.
The butterfly of judgement and the incarnated vessel of God both came from another dimension.
Halcandra is only ever referred to with 別の世界 betsu no sekai once and otherwise 異世界 isekai. Both these terms have also been used to refer to another dimension. In fact...
