Hightower Elementary PTA Alumni Scholarship Application 2024-2025

In support of the post-secondary education of Hightower Elementary graduates, the PTA will provide one scholarship in the amount of $500 to one graduating PISD high school senior who meets the following qualifications:

  • Attended Hightower Elementary for a minimum of 4 years
  • Scheduled to graduate in May/June 2025 from any PISD senior high school
  • Has a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Plans to attend an accredited college/university, junior college, or a technical program the school year following graduation
  • Submits a 500- to 1,500-word essay titled “How My Years at Hightower Elementary Impacted Me”

Hightower Elementary PTA Alumni Scholarship Essay Cover Sheet 2024-2025

Applications will be accepted beginning February 24, 2025, and no later than April 25, 2025.  The Scholarship Recipient will be selected by a panel of impartial PTA Members based on a blinded review of submitted essays and will be announced at the Hightower Graduating Senior Reunion on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.  This cover sheet will be used to distribute essays for anonymous scoring purposes and should not contain any personal identifying information.
