It’s time to show the power of general aviation on VATSIM once again. Virtual USA Flying Club is partnering with The Pilot Club to form a big general aviation conga line along the Gulf Coast of Texas. We’ll fly right along the shoreline North from Mustang Beach Arkansas to Galveston. With 1 minute and 30 seconds between each departure, we’ll space out nice and clean as we conga up the coast. Don’t forget to wear your dance shoes!

Note: In the temporary Conga Line Event channel on the Discord, make sure to list your Callsign and Arrival Time (in zulu time), in order to be entered into the VUFC drawings! That is the only way you will be entered. **PLEASE ALSO INDICATE WHICH PRIZES YOU WANT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR WHEN YOU POST!**(Members cannot win multiple prizes)

Route:

Everyone will follow the coastline North. Do NOT fly GPS Direct. Do not stop along the way. Must go from KRAS to KGLS. Skyvector Map

**There will be 1.5 minutes timed between each departure to assure proper spacing for the conga line.**

Aircraft:

Any GA aircraft with cruise speed less than 160 knots or less! Please NO faster than that for this event.


Airport Info:

KRAS - Mustang Beach

  • Airport Elevation 5ft.
  • Class G Airport (Uncontrolled)

KGLS - Scholes International At Galveston Airport

  • Airport Elevation 6ft.
  • Class D Airport (Towered)

Notes:

  • VFR ONLY EVENT.
  • Manually set ceiling and daytime conditions.
  • VATSIM requires winds/temps/altimeters not to be altered from real world.
  • Minimum 1.5 minutes between each departure. Will be timed.
  • Faster aircraft plan to depart first. Slower aircraft please be prepared to depart toward the end.
  • VATSIM Unicom Frequency is 122.800.
  • Please file a VFR Flight Plan.
  • Please familiarize yourself with the GLS Class D.
  • Must be a Virtual USA Flying Club member to be eligible for the flying club hat.
  • Must participate in the event to be eligible for any prizes.
  • Please put Virtual USA Flying Club in remarks section of your flight plan.
  • Please adhere to Virtual USA Flying Club Event Etiquette.
