Sources of ICE-Defense and RRN trainings

WAISN – Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network, monthly RRN (Rapid Response Network) and KYR (Know Your Rights) trainings
To become a WAISN volunteer (in any capacity) and/or to be on the official WAISN RRN Signal list (there is one for each county in the state), you must go through a criminal background check and then an interview.
RRN trainings are usually on Zoom, occasionally in person. Website, trainings, and materials are bilingual English-Spanish. Generally happen the first week of each month.
States at the Core is running really frequent ICE Defense trainings on Zoom.

Colectiva Legal - Based in Burien. Trainings are not described on their website.
Always Ready Tools – Based in Olympia. Range of tools available at their website.
NDLON – “Adopt a Corner” and “Solidarity Initiative” trainings offered several times each month. They are starting new projects to protect schools. (Their trainings aren’t specifically RRN-focused). There are several local chapters in SE Seattle.
Immigrant Defense Project: ICE Watch and Community Defense – Offer “train the trainers” sessions; they don’t seem to currently offer direct trainings, according to their website. Website and materials are bilingual English-Spanish.
SiembraNC – Based in North Carolina, this group has excellent Zoom trainings, bilingual English-Spanish.
Other places that people have taken RRN and KYR trainings that don’t indicate they are currently offering them: National Lawyers Guild and Jewish Voice for Peace.
La Resistencia NW is working specifically to organize for the closure of the Northwest Detention Center.
