CLARAN REVOLUTIONARY WAR:

1: What happened before the war: Mark Rimbelton

Mark Rimbelton was born on October 12th,1878 in Norma, Antares. He went to primary school, in which he was outstanding. In 1892, at age 14, he had written down in his diary the first spark of Justice, and altogether, what started the War. Here’s the fragment:

“And, they can’t cover it—not enough for me to see without glasses, the slaves being whipped just because they’re inefficient. They don’t care about their well-being, just about how much money they get, even if they already have so much. Their greed sickens me.”

The diary was taken by a teacher, which was the cause of him being put to trial. On the next day, he was declared guilty and exiled to Orion.

This act was nothing more but a proof of the injustice in Antares

2: RIMBELTON’S POSTURE IN EXILE

The planning of the Revolutionary War

Not long after fully settling in in Orion, and resuming his education, he began to work on something. In 1894, 2 years after the exile, he gathered a group of antareans and orionites. He stopped up to the platform and started to read a manifest. What did it read? The manifest was a call for everybody in the crowd, and whoever wanted outside of it to fight for Justice in Antares. A hand was raised, then two, four, and soon enough, almost a hundred hands were raised. The manifest read also the reasons and objectives for the war. Not being enough, he put up posters all over the city, with the help of those who raised their hands. Mark had also pointed out a day for all of them to unite.

Points and aftermath.

The day Mark had pointed out was March 2nd, 1895. The people who assisted was a Cetan General’s son, Aelion Aureth, a Columban , Alaric Draxen, and a determined, Justice-seeking orionite, Korr Drekh. The three of them We’re designed to be leaders, not to forget our Mark. There were 120 people seated, our three leaders behind Mark. After a long day, it was agreed to:

  1. Embark towards Norma on 1898 with a stolen Battleship
  2. Redact a constitution if the Revolution ever wins
  3. Recruit more soldiers for the War.

  1. Adopt a flag for the Rebellion

And so, the preparations began.

Almost 98,000 troops  invaded Norma in 1898, and the Battle ship used was a KSS Skarnhold.

3:

START OF THE CLARAN REVOLUTIONARY WAR.

1898-1911

3.1: Battle of North Norma

Antareans didn’t expect Claran Forces to be so strong, so they sent low ammo, expecting to win quickly. That was the grave error, because when the Clarans showed resistance, they started to run low. So, they  called for assistance, but  Clarans had winned quicker, and intercepted the ammo.

Result: Success.

Casualties: 17k, 8k Antareans, 9k Clarans.

Aftermath: Kalvin II was outraged at the blunder, and demanded to not let the same mistake happen again.

3.2: UNIFICATION OF THE REBELLION: FOUNDATION OF THE ANTAREAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND THE CLARAN ASSEMBLY

FUNDATION OF THE DEMOCRATIC ANTAREAN PARTY:

As a way to further unite the Rebellion, to organize It and to exercise democracy, Rimbelton founded 2 fundamental parts: The Antarean Democratic Party (ADP) and the Claran Assembly (CA). The ADP   decides who is president and takes the job in the Government actions. For example, in order to be a minister, one has to be part of the ADP, it also is the most effective way for the people to contact with the president.

3.3: FOUNDATION OF THE CLARAN ASSEMBLY 

 The CA, is a event where Government Actions are voted. It consists of 2 parts,  the 8 Main Assembly Members (MAM), and the Civic Crowd (CC), the CC are 120 selected voters.

3.4: MAJOR VICTORIES OF THE CLARAN REBELLION.

A) CAMPAIGN OF LUPA, 1907- LATE 1908

After conquering the Norman Península, Claran Troops were told to redirect north into the Lupan territory. Despite heavy Antarean resistance, the Clarans pushed trough, and so continues to move west into Bergensee.

Casualties: 13k, 6k Antareans, 7k Clarans

Results: The Antareans were growing weak, so later campaigns were easier.

Antares couldn’t join the Corvus-Cetus war, wich meant the Centauran Wars never grew bloody, Corvus only annexed South Corvus, the rest of Cetus remained equal.

B) GREATEST CAMPAIGN, 1908-1910

During the last years of the war, Clarans focused on conquering the already weak south, conquering it rapidly.

Casualties: 15k, 10k Antareans, 5k Clarans.

Result: Kalvin II, fearful of being executed fled to Lacerta.

Aran V took the seat of the Antarean Emperator, but didn’t did much.

C) SOUTH CAMPAIGN 1910-1911

THE Campaign that ended the war conquering what remained of Antares.

The most important campaign after the Greatest Campaign.

Casualties: 23k, 17k Antareans, 6k Clarans.

Results: Aran V was found dead where he resided. Forensics said he suicided.

Kalvin II Was then searched for, and in 1914, he was killed by an Orionite  

3.5: TREATY OF SKORPIO: BIRTH OF THE REPUBLIC.

After the Clarans successfully winned the Revolutionary War, they brought Kalvin II to firm the treaty, these were the contents:

  1. Abolition of Slavery
  2. Antareans Will now reside in the Antarean Republic.
  3. The Antarean Republic will have the same flag as the Claran Rebellion.
  4. All men and women will have the same opportunities
  5. The Democratic system of Clara will be adopted.

And so, on May 18th, 1911, the first Democratic Republic was born.

3.6: Death of Mark Rimbelton: 1932.

Mark Rimbelton died in his presidential office in 1932. He died of a heart attack, because of his old age. He is remembered to be the only one that wasn’t killed in Centaura.
