End-of-Year | Finals Schedule
All Students, Parents, and Faculty/Staff:
As we come to the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year, there are several closure items we would like you to plan for. As always, if you have any questions about the following information, please ask.
SENIOR SCHEDULE
Seniors will complete finals (exams, projects, presentations, speeches, etc.) during a combination of their final three days at Western, May 14-16. We will run a typical schedule that week, so Wednesday will be Odd Blocks, Thursday Even Blocks, and Friday Regular Schedule. Seniors' last day of school is Friday, May 16.
GRADUATION
Western’s graduation commencement ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:00pm in the Big Gym. All are welcome to attend the ceremony! We will also livestream the event on Western’s Youtube Channel. We will host a Senior Breakfast in the Cafeteria at 10:15am on graduation day. Graduation Rehearsal will begin at 11:00am. We will not begin until every senior is present.
TEXTBOOKS
All textbooks must be returned to classrooms before students are allowed to take their final exams. Students with lost textbooks will pay the replacement cost.
ESAs and 2025-26 TUITION
ESA applications are due by June 30; the state does not provide flexibility on this date. Please ensure your application is completed and Western Christian is selected as your school of choice. We anticipate having 2025-26 tuition statements fully prepared by July 7. Families will have the option to pay in full, pay by semester, or set up ACH in 10 equal payments (August - May). More information to come this summer.

2025 FINALS POLICY
1. Before students may take exams:
a. All tuition and other financial obligations must be paid or arranged for.
b. Students must clean their lockers and return books to classroom teachers. c. All detentions must be served or arranged for.
2. Non-senior students will take exams on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 28-30 during 90-minute blocks.
3. There will be three blocks on Wednesday and Thursday, and two on Friday. Please do not plan absences on these days (appointments, college visits, trips, etc.). Except for special situations (illness, family emergency, etc.) students should NOT expect teachers to make arrangements outside their regularly scheduled periods. (i.e. move their final from 7th block to 5th block).
If students need to move exams for a special situation, they need to communicate with Mrs. Wilson before Friday, May 23, 2025 at 3:30pm.
4. Students will meet with their scheduled classes during the corresponding block for a cumulative exam or final project/presentation. All academic courses will have a semester final. Some non-academic electives (Band, PE, etc.) or Jr./Sr. combined classes may not meet; individual instructors will communicate plans with their students. If students do not have a final during a given block, they are not required to be at school (see exception below).
5. While students are not required to be at school during blocks in which they do not have finals, they may not come and go throughout the school day. Once students come to school, they may not leave until their last block that day. Once students leave campus, they may not return that day. For example, if a student has 1st period study hall, a 2nd period cumulative exam, and a 3rd period final project, the student does not have to be present for 1st block, but may not leave school in between 2nd and 3rd blocks.
6. Students must remain in their classrooms for a minimum of 75 minutes. Those who finish early during a block (but after 75 minutes) must either quietly remain in their classroom, go to study hall in the cafeteria, be in the student lounge, or go home. (Once students come to school, they may not leave until their last block that day.) Students may not visit in the hallways nor be in unsupervised areas.
7. Hot lunch will be served through Tuesday, May 27. Students will need to bring their own sack lunch on Wednesday and Thursday if they stay over lunch for exams. Students may order food from an outside entity if they choose, but it must be delivered to school. Students will not be able to leave campus and return.
8. Buses will run regular times through Friday May 23. Buses will NOT run after Memorial Day; please plan accordingly.
