The Invitation

Congratulations! You have been selected (voluntarily or not) to visit me, Minty, on my new mysterious island I totally found! I’ve opened my brand new branch of Change Cafe here, and I can’t wait for an influx of new customers.

There is one problem though: I can’t stay here and run this place myself! Therefore, I’ve chosen all of you to participate in a grand battle royale to determine who receives partial ownership of not only this island branch of my transformative coffee shop, but this whole island! Of course, the island itself is full of plenty of transformative tricks and traps, so you might want to be a bit cautious yourself. Best of luck, and the winner takes all~

Isle of Change is an original character tournament, where the goal is to transform your opponent designated by a tournament bracket. This is accomplished by crafting a story through your choice of multimedia and presenting how you defeat your competition. Judges will then decide through scoring which competitor moves on in the bracket, and who remains transformed.

How to Join and Participate

In order to join the tournament, an interested applicant will need to complete the character reference sheet (seen below) and an audition entry.

The audition entry will outline your character receiving the invitation letter to the Isle of Change and being teleported to the beach of the island by the magical letter.

 The purpose of the audition is to demonstrate your character and signature style of art/writing, while inserting your character into the story of the tournament. It is recommended to show your character performing a transformation on someone to show off both their skill set and your ability to create a transformation in your chosen medium.

The audition will be submitted into the designated channels in the Change Cafe server (https://discord.gg/QjK4RvJsE8), and in addition can be submitted to any social media/art platforms you use.

Application deadline is tentative depending on interest, but will be approximately 3 weeks after posting of this invitation on 6/27.

As of now, the deadline for character sheet and audition entry is July 17th.

If your audition is selected, then congratulations! You will be entered into the main tournament bracket. The bracket will be randomized between all the participants, and then each round will commence. The rounds will each have a set goal and biome they will take place in, giving the contestants a framework to work off of. Each person will then create their version of the fight, where their OC comes out on top over their opponent and moves onto the next round. The entry from each opponent will then be judged and scored based on the following criteria (seen in the scoring section below) and the winning entry will be considered canon and that contestant will move onto the next round. This will continue until only one person is left.

Round themes/biomes

Each round will take place in a designated area of the island. For example, round one will be on the outskirts of the island. This holds the beach and forest areas. Each area may be utilized to transform the opponent, along with the abilities of the contestant’s OC. These will provide the framework of the story

Rules

  • NO GENERATIVE AI ALLOWED; Anyone found using this for images or writing will be immediately disqualified

  • All entrants will require a visual reference for their original character, so that writers and artists can properly depict them in their chosen medium. This must be art made specifically of your character, and can not be art taken from another source without permission.
  • Your character must be an original character. However, transformations into established characters are allowed. (For example, you may not enter as Princess Peach, but you may turn your opponent into Princess Peach)
  • Multiple characters are allowed under a single entry. For example, a pair of wives can compete together as a single space on the bracket. One contestant may use multiple characters in one entry, but a contestant can not enter multiple spaces within the bracket.

  • Allowed media for entries include but are not limited to: Prose/writing, Illustrations/comics, and animation/video
  • Any combination of these may be used for entries. If you have any other medium you would be interested in using for entries, contact an organizer and we will let you know if it is okay.

  • Each round will have two weeks for participants to create a submission and turn it in by the deadline.
  • In the circumstance of not being able to meet the deadline, extensions will be allowed on a case by case basis, but will not surpass two weeks beyond the initial two. Failure to meet the final deadline for a round will result in disqualification.
  • Judging will be held over a week (given no deadline extensions), and winners will be announced at the end of the week. Contestants will be given an additional week grace period before the start of the next round.
  • The final round will give the contestants one additional week to craft their entry.

  • Be respectful. This is a competition, but everyone is here to have fun and share in a love of transformation. People will inevitably be knocked out at the end of each round, so it is important to be understanding and have humility.

  • Regarding depictions of other people’s OC, depicting humiliation, parody, lewdness, and degradation are allowed within the confines of the opponent’s favored kinks listed on their character sheet. If you have any questions regarding someone’s character, feel free to contact them.

  • Banned content: ABDL/diapers, scat, extensive gore/guro, any depiction of characters under the age of 18

Each entry will be scored on the following grading scale, with a score given by each judge from 1 to 5.

Creativity/originality - How creative is the entry? Was the method of transformation used interesting and original? Was the battle/conflict executed in a unique way?

Is the entry faithful to the ongoing storyline? Is the entry respectful to their opponent’s wishes regarding likes/dislikes with themes and kinks?

  • Is the character sheet template mandatory?
  • Yes, it is required to fill out the character sheet template. However, supplemental references and material can also be submitted underneath the character sheet (within reason).
