2019 OCHS Football
State Championship Game Informational Packet
Information Included:
Warrior Nation,
We hope this letter finds you well and very excited about OCHS Warrior Football. As you know, our Warriors are playing in the state championship game for the first time since our AAA state title team in 1999. Our players and coaches have done an outstanding job this season to earn the opportunity to play for the 2019 AAAA State Championship on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 4:30 PM. OCHS will play Blessed Trinity High School out of Roswell, GA, in the championship game. Over two days, the GHSA will host 16 state finalists and crown eight eventual state champions. The GHSA Football State Championships are a great annual event for players, coaches, and fans across the state. This year, the state championships are at Georgia State University’s stadium, the old Braves’ Turner Field. In visiting this venue this weekend, we are in for a treat as the GHSA and Georgia State have done an outstanding job preparing this venue for the 2019 State Championship games.
To help with communication about the event, OCHS Athletics has attempted to put all the provided game information in one location via this packet. Included in this packet, you will find information about the game, tickets, parking, and travel options to the game. We want this event to be as enjoyable and memorable as possible for all of our fans. Please take the time to read over all the provided information, and contact me should you have any questions.
In closing, we appreciate your continued support of OCHS Football, Cheerleading, and Band this fall. As you travel to Atlanta to support our programs, please travel safely to and from the stadium. Once inside the stadium, please continue to be a positive Warrior supporter at all times during the game. Our student-athletes deserve nothing but the best from Warrior Nation at all times. Again, thank you for our continued support this fall, and contact me (kyancey@oconeeschools.org) should you have questions or need more information. Go Warriors!
We are One,
Kevin Yancey
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director
