Board Application 2026-2027: United Latino Student Association Representative

Description:

As a ULSA Representative, you will be responsible for representing LBSA UCI and maintaining strong connections with other ULSA-affiliated LBSA chapters. You will attend ULSA meetings at other LBSA campuses, which may take place anywhere from bi-weekly to bi-monthly. During these meetings, you will represent LBSA UCI by presenting upcoming events, initiatives, and plans while also being an active and engaging participant in the host school’s meeting.

You will also be responsible for hosting a ULSA meeting at UCI, where representatives and members from other ULSA schools will be invited to attend. The meeting will include announcements from each ULSA school about their upcoming events, regular LBSA UCI board announcements, and either a speaker workshop or an interactive activity. Hosting the meeting will involve finding and coordinating with a speaker when applicable, promoting the meeting to other ULSA schools to increase attendance, promoting the event to LBSA UCI members, and running the meeting to ensure everything is organized and runs smoothly.

Lastly, you will be responsible for drafting a quarterly 1,000-word essay documenting what LBSA UCI has accomplished throughout the quarter, with a specific focus on the organization’s efforts to increase member participation and engagement

You are also going to be held responsible for regular board member duties, such as attending club meetings and events, attending the weekly board meetings held Monday nights, and being overall engaging with members and fellow board members.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Weekly Executive Board Meetings led by the President
  • Weekly General Meetings led by the Board
  • Present for the entire 2026-2027 academic year
  • Must be a 2025-2026 Active LBSA Member

  1. What are other commitments that you have currently besides LBSA UCI? This includes but is not limited to any jobs, potential jobs, internships, and board positions for other clubs.

              

  1. Being on Board requires many hours of working with your fellow board members, how would you be able to balance the time workload and of being on Board along with your academics and other extracurriculars?
