The original story was something I came up with at 1 AM. At the time, I was thinking about the worst possible thing I could write.
Having posted it when I was tired past midnight, I did not think about the future reactions of the people who read it. Without the context of CENTAURA’s background lore, yes, the story was extremely foul and unwarranted.
I did not expect the story to be cherry-picked among all the other works I’ve written, of which are not as gruesome or violent.
Please note this entire story was supposed to represent the consequences of desensitization. A person who grew up in a crime-filled town, and who is desensitized to violence will have an easier time committing violent acts. Combine that with religious zest, and that person will commit the most horrible acts in the name of their idol.
It was also to reflect the real world. Serial killers have done far worse than what I have written, and that is only among the civilian population. In war, on the battlefield, this murderous mindset is amplified even more, especially in CENTAURA’s world where civilians are not protected under any war laws.
The original Sandra story will not be available under this document anymore. I do not want people to nitpick on such a small and insignificant story (that was written half-assed at midnight), and instead focus on the rest of CENTAURA’s lore.
