The Council of Ministers,

Firmly convinced that a monarch is needed to symbolize the Kingdom of Pinelandia’s territorial integrity and status as a sovereign nation,

Having considered Joseph L’s willingness to become Pinelandia’s monarch,

Stressing the need for a government act to properly establish the rights, duties, and functions of the Pinelandian Crown,

  1. Declares that Joseph of Pinelandia (formerly Joseph L) shall be monarch in and over Pinelandia:
  1. Joseph shall be granted use the title King of the Pinelandians when acting in his capacity as monarch of Pinelandia:
  1. His official regnal title shall be His Majesty Joseph, King of the Pinelandians, to be used in ceremonial or formal occasions,
  2. All future monarchs of Pinelandia shall be granted the same title upon ascending to the throne, but shall be referred to as Her Majesty The Queen of the Pinelandians should the holder of the title be female,
  3. The spouse or partner of the King may be styled as Her Royal Highness The Princess Consort of Pinelandia if female and as His Royal Highness The Prince Consort of Pinelandia if male:
  1. As with all royal titles other than his own, the King may change his spouse’s title(s) at will should he choose to do so;
  1. Has resolved that His Majesty The King and his heirs and successors shall be expected to abide by the following subclauses:
  1. The King of the Pinelandians is the symbolic head of state and symbolic figurehead of the Kingdom of Pinelandia, and is not permitted to interfere in Pinelandian politics,
  2. His Majesty may not alter his regnal title,
  3. Should the King abdicate or “demise”, causing the throne to pass to his designated successor, the Council of Ministers must pass an Act of Council formally recognizing the heir apparent or heir presumptive as the new monarch,
  4. If no successor has been appointed, the Council of Ministers may select a new individual to serve as monarch,
  5. The Council of Ministers is permitted to remove the monarch from the throne, provided that the monarch has committed an act of treason against the nation, is acting in a way inconsistent with Pinelandian values of liberty and freedom, or has failed to fulfill their duties as monarch,
  6. His Majesty is authorized to manage the Royal House of Pinelandia and the line of succession to the Pinelandian throne:
  1. He shall have the ability to create, abolish, confer, and alter royal titles other than his own at will;
  1. Further proclaims that the government of Pinelandia - His Majesty’s Government in Pinelandia - shall be formed in the monarch’s name;
  2. Hereby promulgates the Pinelandian Monarchy Act, effective upon the passage of this bill.
