ROTTING MEMORY

1 MONTH MAGGOTTAIL MAP

RULES:

•The video must be 1920x1080p

• This is a AMV - PMV map! Some parts will require AMV, so watch out!

• READ THE NOTES!! Reading them is CRUCIAL for making your map part as accurate as possible! :)

• Use the provided audio clips! Do not clip your own audio!

• Follow the beat of the song as much as possible, if you have any questions, ask me!

• Please add a TW warning if you publish your part, even if your part doesn’t include any of the TW’s!!

• The deadline is 6 months after you get your part. Wip checks will happen twice a month. As long as you give in WIP’s or written updates, I will give you extensions, but will get stricter and stricter with each one. After a long time has passed since your first extension, I will consider assigning helpers for you. If I have not seen any updates or WIP’s for a long time and I cannot contact you, I will have to drop you so the map won’t get held up.

• DO NOT JOIN IF YOU ARE BUSY OR HAVE MANY OTHER MAP PARTS!!

• You can drop out of the map with no hard feelings! If you have no motivation, that’s fine! Just make sure you drop out as soon as possible so the map doesn’t get held up!

• NO fake map parts please!

• Maximum of 2 parts!

• DO NOT APPLY IN COMMENTS apply using link in description!

• Green-screen is allowed!

• No Watermarks!

• No Lyrics!

• No custom effects! This will clash with the other parts.

• THIS MAP IS HIGHLY PSYCHOLOGICAL! Please do not join if you are not mentally well!

• Don’t cut your part too short! Make sure to add an extra 1-3 frames!

• You need to join the discord server once you get a part! Spectators are allowed!

• WIP spamming is encouraged!

• If you collaborate with someone, that’s great! Just make sure to tell me so I can properly credit them!

EXTRAS

Warning Screen= Will Feature Maggottail in the Dark Forest, giving a warning.

Suggestion Screen: A firefly from far away lights up in the darkness, suggesting you could better see the map project in the dark and give a better experience.

PART 1: Maggottails Mother is in the Nursery with an unknown she-cat, but she is shocked and worried. Maggotkit is sick, and the mother worries if he will make it. She silently makes a pact to keep him safe and promises to always look after him, moving Maggotkit to her belly.

The Medicine cat will be very dark and in the shadows, no face.

PART 2: The camera panels upward, where we see StarClan cats looking at him with anger as he starts to glitch out.

Follow part above for medicine cat guide, StarClan Cats will look like historically accurate angels. Add stars somewhere to better show they are StarClan Cats. Will be a little transparent with the sky, but not significantly. Have Maggotkit glitch a little bit in this scene.

PART 3:Maggotpaw is alone, he grooms himself although repulsed for a moment. He sees his first butterfly ever and is amazed. He goes to the butterfly, who rests on the Leaders Den.

PART 4: Maggotpaw gets close, causing the butterfly to move before he slams right into it. The butterfly doesn’t move away though, it wants him to follow it.

PART 5: As the butterfly settles down into the ground, when all of a sudden “ D “ appears. He crushes the butterfly as a way to torment Maggotpaw :(

PART 6: “ D “ and his gang circles Maggotpaw, giving him no escape route. Maggotpaw starts freaking out, glitching

PART 7: “ B “ pulls out their claws, and they all go in to attack Maggotpaw.

Image below me is colors used for the “ whirlwind “ the gang creates

PART 8: We see Maggotpaw in the middle of the fight, closing his eyes shut. He is torn on his forehead and lower back. ( Will not bleed significantly ) A flight of butterflies fly up ShadowClans walls.

PART 9: A butterfly touches Maggotpaw's nose gently, leaving as he opens his eyes to follow the other butterflies.

PART 10: Maggotpaw struggles to climb over the ShadowClan walls, but manages to do so. He messes around with a butterfly playfully.

PART 11: Still playing with the butterfly, he doesn’t notice where he is going and rams into a tree. Frustrated for a quick second, but as quickly as he became frustrated he happily follows the butterfly again.

PART 12: Maggotpaw walks over to an area where the butterflies are suddenly slowing down. He is caught by surprise and looks around.

Try not to show his reaction to the death yet!!

PART 13: Maggotpaw mother is dead, unknown as to how. No butterflies in shot or very little, like two.

Can be a single image or AMV, your choice. If AMV, make it subtle.

PART 14: Maggotpaw rushes over to his mother, completely heartbroken. He touches her paw in some hope and reassurance.

Maggotpaw glitches out a lot in this scene!

PART 15: A butterfly lands onto Maggotpaw’s mothers body, Maggotpaw quickly coming to the realization and is horrified.

Suggestion: Add the butterfly into Maggotpaws eye reflection!

PART 16: Butterflies start gathering over to Maggotpaws mothers body.

PART 17: Maggotpaw starts yelling, screaming at the butterflies to stop and leave his mother alone as they gather. He near the end put his paws on his mother to protect her.

PART 18: Maggotpaws paws are on his mothers corpse, releasing his claws out of fear and stress. His mother then disappearing, changing to the present and leaving Maggottail and the fly alone. The fly being where his mother would be.

Switches to Maggottail!

PART 19: Maggottail glitches severely, he is hit with a huge emotional wave from being reminded of his mothers death. He escapes his trance and tries calming himself down, hyperventilating.

PART 20: Maggottail defeatedly looks into the sky for answers, where the Stars intentionally retell him how the gang had tortured him and took his mothers death as an opportunity to make fun of him more.

PART 21: In a want for control in his predicament, he glitches as he turns and gives a menacing stare towards us.

PART 22: Maggottail steps on a mud puddle and gets an idea, an awful idea. Maggottail gets a wonderful, awful idea. He rubs the mud on his coat to mask his smell.

PART 23: As the gang walks while on a patrol watch, Maggottail hides behind a bush as he prepares to pounce.

Add a small glitch to Maggottail!

PART 24: “ C “ notices Maggottail, Maggottail moving in front of the gang to stop their path.

“ B “ shows more cowardice as he hides behind the gang.

PART 25: “ D “ runs after Maggottail, where all of a sudden he is shrouded in darkness as he is horrified by what he is witnessing.

PART 26: Maggottail off in the distance unnervingly transforms like a bug emerging from its pupa. He then suddenly appears in front of the four. The entire gang is HORRIFIED.

PART 27: The entire gang looks around, trying to find “Maggottail”.

They all pay attention to one eye, but “B “ notices a separate eye off in a different area.

PART 28: As all four of the gangs heads float in black space, one by one they all disappear. “ D “ is left alone, where Maggottail appears behind him unknowingly.

You can either follow what I did or get creative as to how they disappear!

PART 29 : The black dissipates, leaving Maggottail alone looking at the shadows of the now diseased cats. His breathing is labored, his throat has been cut. As his guilt ridden face starts forming tears, he passes out from exhaustion.

PART 30: Maggottail unconsciously falls into the dark forest.

Make sure to add a sort of thud and weight to Maggottails fall!

PART 31: The firefly appears on Maggottails nose, waking him. It flies away before Maggottail notices him to not freak him out.

PART 32: Maggottail, slowly regaining his strength, stands back up and notices his surroundings. He turns his head around him thinking he heard something, then turns back as he notices nothing.

PART 33: Maggottail notices the firefly on the ground, and quickly tries to squash it by his paw. When he lifts his paw, however, the firefly is not there. Maggottail hurriedly looks around looking for the firefly, when it suddenly appears out from his chest. The firefly flies away, trying to get Maggottail to follow it.

AMV REQUIRED!

PART 34: Maggottail hesitates a lot, but chooses to follow the firefly.

PART 35: Maggottail follows the firefly on a path, soon to reveal something Maggottail fears.

Do not show the spiral just yet!! Hide it behind Maggottails head.

PART 36: Maggottail looks amazed at the spiral as what seems like 100 fireflies spiraling around the spiral, drawing him in.

PART 37: Maggottail worriedly looks at us, slightly glitching. He follows the fireflies towards the spiral.

PART 38: Maggottail approaches the spiral, warping with it. After a long pause, we see him arising from the dark forest mud laboredly.

PART 39: Maggottail, still struggling to escape, notices something in the distance.

PART 40: His three that weighs him down walks forwards him eerily .Lost childhood, despair, and guilt.

PART 41: Maggottail looks at them with horror as he is dragged back down into the mud.

PART 42: As the three look accomplished, they quickly fade as Maggottail makes it to the shore.

Make the three flicker a little bit as they disappear!

PART 43: Maggottail drags himself to land, kicking the mud off his paws.

PART 44: Maggottail catches his breath as he looks at us with his rage filled eyes.

BACKGROUNDS

ShadowClan Camp, filled with thorns and high walls where each individual cat stays in their own den, with exceptions being the nursery and medicine cat den. Their centerpiece tree has been dead for years.

If you plan to add some background characters in the dens, make them very dark when it comes to color and do not fill every den! Every background character will have no reference sheet, and can be used to insert oc’s.

The Death Scene, her death is unknown. She has been dead for some time.

The Patrol, a new beginning. Nobody knows Maggottail is there, they aren’t the best at their job.

The Action, lost in a trance, captures the four as he prepares to “get rid of them. “

The Spiral, where everything REALLY changes for the first time in years.

If you are here for the dark forest ref, just use this or the next image, they are very similar regarding color.

The final struggle, the final stretch.

Maggottails fur is “ sticky “, he is more prone to sickness than others.

StarClan controls everything for their own entertainment, the only one they couldn’t control was Maggotail. What Maggottail does now is up to your own interpretation..
