✧ Day 1 — 22/07 (Tuesday, July 22nd) ✧

Dominant Top/Submissive Bottom

  • Meaning: Refers to the positions of control in bed. Tops take the penetrative role, bottoms take the role of being penetrated. Topping and domming, and bottoming and subbing aren’t as tied as they might seem to be—they are, in the end, unrelated. One’s position in bed does not equal their position in a power dynamic.
    In the D/s power dynamic, Doms take control of the situation and the scene at hand, while submissives submit to their doms desires. However, if the sub uses their safeword, the scene and all sexual activity immediately stops for the submissive’s safety and comfort. In the end, subs have the true control. If they truly don’t like something, a good dom immediately stops, in accordance with the kink rules of “safe, sane and consensual.”
    A dominant top is someone who penetrates and controls the scene, while a submissive bottom is someone who gets penetrated and submits to their dom.

Brat/Brat Tamer

  • Meaning: A D/s dynamic in which the submissive playfully fights back and acts up, behaving brattily. The dom needs to prove their power and control over the situation by “taming” their unruly sub and “putting them back in their place.” This occasionally involves punishment, such as spanking.

Wax Play

  • Meaning: A kink that can fall under the temperature play and the sadomasochism kink, involving hot wax being dripped onto someone’s skin. The sting and heat is exciting, and once the wax is dry, the peeling can feel satisfying as well. If trying this in real life, please use wax play safe candles—they don’t get as hot as regular candles.

Sensory Deprivation

  • Meaning: A type of sensation play where someone is deprived of one of more senses to heighten the other sensory input. This is usually done in hopes of increasing the person whose senses are being deprived’s sexual pleasure, or in hopes of creating an unique sexual experience. The senses usually focussed on being deprived are sight, sound, touch and smell.
  • Example: Blindfolding someone and putting noise cancelling headphones on them so they don’t know when or where their partner’s touches are coming from, heightening the sensation of touch and as a result, heightening their pleasure.
    Blindfolding someone while feeding them a meal or food items commonly seen as aphrodisiacs, making them rely on their sense of taste and smell to be able to tell what they’re eating (as commonly done with food play).

Cum Kink

  • Meaning: A kink for cum, simple as that. See the specific subcategories below for examples.
  • Prompt Subcategories: Cumplay (exchange of cum between partners, like ejaculating on someone AKA cum marking, rubbing cum into the skin like lotion, or using cum as lube), Creampies (ejaculating inside of the vagina/asshole), Cum Inflation (Someone’s stomach bulging with the amount of cum inside of their vagina, asshole, or stomach), etc.

Touch Starvation

  • Meaning: It’s where someone is negatively impacted by not receiving nearly enough touch in the psychological sense. People who are touch starved as children are commonly negatively impacted by it as adults. Touch starvation can make someone especially sensitive to being touched in any way at all, so in smutty fanwork, this is often used in a way where the touch-starved person is incredibly sensitive to romantic, intimate and sexual touches. In our fandom, this is a trope commonly applied to Keith.
  • Example: The headcanon where Keith wears his gloves because his hands are too sensitive, and it makes him shiver and gets aroused when someone gently touches his hands. Touch starvation making Keith whimper when Lance casually touches his waist to move by him.

Friends/Enemies with Benefits

  • Meaning: Friends or enemies who have a sexual relationship (the benefits) without a romantic relationship.

✧ Day 2 — 23/07 (Wednesday, July 23rd) ✧

Submissive Top/Power Bottom

  • Meaning: A power bottom is a bottom who likes to take control in a dominant way, while also being penetrated. A submissive top is a someone who penetrates, but also submits to their power bottom.
    See also: Dominant Top/Submissive Bottom (above) for a further explanation of D/s dynamics.
  • Example: Keith riding Lance, while Lance is wearing a cock ring and Keith is controlling when Lance is allowed to cum inside him, teasing him that he has to earn the privilege to do so while Lance begs for mercy.

Service Top/Pillow Princess

  • Meaning: A service top is a top that just wants to make their bottom happy and make their bottom feel good, and get their pleasure from doing so. This means they can take a dominant role or a submissive role as needed, depending on what their bottom wants from them. Their bottom’s wish is the service top’s desire. Service tops place their bottom’s needs over their own, in part because they get sexual pleasure from making their bottom feel good anyway. Being a service top and having a praise kink often goes hand in hand.
    A pillow princess (genderneutral) is someone who has a preference for receiving sexual pleasure over giving it. Service tops and pillow princesses often go well together, and in many cases, people become pillow princesses without realizing it just because of how eager their service tops are to please them.
  • Example: Lance enjoying eating Keith out and making him orgasm over and over so much that it (and Keith’s gasped praises) can easily make him cum entirely untouched because he’s so turned on by how good he’s making his partner feel.

Tender/Gentle Sex

  • Meaning: Exactly what it says on the tin. Sweet, gentle, loving sex. Often just nice and simple, or slow and sweet.

Body Worship

  • Meaning: The act of worshipping and revering one’s partner’s body or a specific part of their body, as a form of either dominant or submissive behaviors. This is often a physical attention, involving kisses, touches and licks, but it can also involve verbal worship of someone’s body.
  • Example: Lance feeling insecure about his back scar, so Keith takes his time massaging and kissing his back, quietly praising him for how strong and brave he was, and how proud Keith is of him for the sacrifice he made to save another, telling him how beautiful he is and that the scar does not take away from that.

Dacryphilia

  • Meaning: Sexual arousal or satisfaction caused by tears or crying, usually in the form of watching a partner cry, making a partner cry, or comforting a crying partner. It might sound cruel at first glance, but studies show that most people with this kink find satisfaction and arousal in seeing their partner cry because it makes them feel emotional, touched and reliable that their partner trusts them enough to rely on them and show them their vulnerable side, making it a surprisingly wholesome kink. But of course, it can just as well be applied to making a partner cry in a sadomasochism sense.

Auralism

  • Meaning: Auralism is also known as an audio kink. It’s when people are turned on by noise during sex.
  • Example: This can kink include the obvious, like the noises that come from their partner’s lips, dirty talk, the sound of skin on skin, or the wet slide of penetration or jerking off, but it can also include having sex with music playing in the background (especially having sex to the beat of the music!), sound/music activated sex toys, etc.
  • Prompt Subcategories: Dirty Talk, Loud in Bed, etc.

Praise Kink

  • Meaning: Sexual arousal resulting from being praised, complimented or verbally affirmed. The opposite of a degradation kink, where one derives sexual arousal from being degraded and insulted instead.

✧ Day 3 — 24/07 (Thursday, July 24th) ✧

Knife Play/Gun Play

  • Meaning: A form of erotic roleplay using a knife or a gun for the adrenaline and exploration of boundaries. There’s various gradations of it, especially in terms of knifeplay. Most versions of knifeplay don’t focus on injury, just the dragging of the blade against the skin without breaking skin. The risk of injury can be arousing though. It can involve cutting away clothing, scratching, and using the blunt side of the knife for stimulation. The darker version of it does involve shallow cuts. With a gun kink, the gun is naturally unloaded and made to be safe, but the risk and the power the gun holds is a source of arousal.

Stuck in Wall/Trapped in Place

  • Meaning: Stuck in wall, also known as Kabeshiri or a reverse glory hole, is a kink where someone ends up being stuck inside a wall, an elevator door, a window, etc. and is helpless to do anything as sexual advances are made upon them. Trapped in place is a similar, broader concept, where it’s just someone being trapped or stuck somehow. Being stuck in a tight place together can also apply.
  • Example: Being trapped in a window that stopped moving up or down. Being trapped inside of some alien machine that leaves one vulnerable and spread wide open. Trapped in a tight place together where bodies are being pressed together in a compromising way.
  • Prompt Subcategories: Full Body Glory Hole

Free Use/Public Use

  • Meaning: Free use is a kink where one partner blanket consents to sexual activity at any time, any place, without their partner needing to ask for permission. May coincide with the “distracted sex” kink because free use sex may also occur while the free use partner is otherwise engaged in daily activities like cooking, cleaning, reading, studying, working from home, gaming, watching TV, etc.
    Public use is a variant of the free use kink where someone consents to being free used by any member of the public in public. In real life this is often a thing in sex clubs, when someone wears a specific sticker, fake tattoo or bracelet on their person to indicate them being for public use, but in fictional scenarios… go wild!

Public Sex

  • Meaning: Like it says on the tin. Sex in public places, whether it’s secret public sex at the risk of being caught, or just being out in the open, not caring who sees (or maybe with the aim of being seen!)

Toxicity & Perversion

  • Meaning: A broad prompt term meant both to inspire your creativity, but see the examples/subcategory for more ideas. Be sure to warn for things you think qualify as taboo/dead dove subjects though.
  • Example: This prompt is meant to focus on toxic and/or perverted behavior, such as Keith and Lance cheating on their partners with each other (toxic), Lance stealing Keith’s underwear (perverted), or even things like stalking and kidnapping.
  • Prompt Subcategories: Infidelity, Panty Thief, Stalking, Kidnapping, Babytrapping, Relationship Sabotage, etc.

Jealousy

  • Meaning: Pretty self-explanatory. Expressions of jealousy, whether it’s shown through dialogue, interactions, emotions or sex.
  • Example: Lance/Keith dragging the other off to show who the other “belongs to” by rocking the other’s world after getting jealous over someone flirting with their partner.

Exhibitionism/Voyeurism

  • Meaning: Exhibitionism as a kink means getting sexual gratification from being seen and watched in a nude or sexual manner, or fantasizing about being seen/watched in a sexual manner. Voyeurism is getting sexual gratification from watching someone else in a sexual manner. Additionally, there’s also Candaulism, where one gets sexual gratification from exposing their partner to other people in a sexual manner.
    In real life, the only safe, sane and consensual way to engage in these kinks are with people who all consent to it, such as specific kink friend groups, sex clubs or online spaces devoted to this with one’s partner’s consent as well.
  • Example: Having sex in front of a crowd. Flashing someone. Spying on someone masturbating. Making one’s partner flash people. Showing nude pictures of one’s partner to their friends.
  • Prompt Subcategories: Candaulism, Sex in Front of a Crowd, Parallel Play (having sex while another couple is also having sex in the same room, watching each other), Flashing, Peeping Tom, etc.

✨ Glossary — Day 4

Day 4 — 25/07 (Friday, July 25th)

Costumes/Cosplay/Lingerie

  • Meaning: Pretty self-explanatory. Dressing up in a costume, cosplay, lingerie, or just a beautiful or handsome outfit.
  • Example: Sex while cosplaying characters.

Clothed Sex

  • Meaning: Self-explanatory, sex while one or both (or more) parties still have their clothes on, with the clothed party/parties just pulling their underwear down or aside.

Ripped Clothing

  • Meaning: Another self-explanatory one. Ripping clothes or already ripped clothes.
  • Example: Ripping fishnet tights open in a hurry instead of getting them off to push underwear aside for sex.

Anonymous Sex

  • Meaning: A broader category, but can involve a lot. Glory holes, sex at a masquerade, sex at a party in the dark without knowing who the other person is or who their name is, sex with someone who has their face covered, people with a secret identity (such as superheroes) having sex as their secret identity, cruising, etc.
  • Example: Lance sleeping with Keith while Keith is fully masked in his Blade uniform, not knowing it was Keith.
  • Prompt Subcategories: Glory Holes, Masked Sex, Hidden Identities

Chastity Devices

  • Meaning: Devices that prevent one from having sex or orgasming. Arguably, cock rings could also be considered a very temporary chastity device in some cases, but that’s up for interpretation
  • Prompt Subcategories: Cock Cages, Chastity Belts, Cock Rings

Oral Fixation

  • Meaning: Oral fixations are defined as obsessive behaviors to do with the mouth. People with oral fixations are known to stick things in their mouth and suck or bite on them. Some oral fixators bite nails, others chew pens, some compulsively chew gum, others always have a lollipop in their mouths, etc. In a sexual context, oral fixation is often used as a trope to give the oral fixator “something else” to focus their fixation on (fingers, cocks, clits, etc.)
  • Example: Keith with an oral fixation sucking Lance’s dick daily to keep his mouth busy.

Piercings/Tattoos/Body Mods

  • Meaning: Pretty self explanatory. Piercings, Tattoos and Body Mods like split/forked tongues, and the attraction to them, and sexual pleasure associated with them.
  • Example: Split tongue blowjobs. Nipple piercing play.

Day 5 — 26/07 (Saturday, July 26th)

Aphrodisiacs/Sex Pollen

  • Meaning: Uncontrollable lust and arousal induced by an outside source.
  • Example: Consuming a food or drink with lust-inducing properties, being bitten/stung by an insect whose venom has lust-inducing properties, inhaling a plant’s pollen or touching its nectar, both with lust-inducing properties, etc.

Diplomatic/Ritualistic Sex

  • Meaning: Sex for the sake of diplomacy, alliances, arranged marriages, etc., and/or as part of a cultural, magical, demonic or alien ritual.
  • Example: Sealing a demonic contract with sex. Participating in an orgy with a sex-positive alien species to seal their alliance with Voltron.

Fuck or Die

  • Meaning: Fuck or Die is a trope where characters end up in a situation with dubious consent where they must have sex or else they’ll face dire consequences, such as risking death.
  • Example: The Galra run a breeding experiment program on prisoners. If prisoners don’t comply with the orders to fuck another prisoner, they’ll be killed. Or they’re infected with a dangerous aphrodisiac, where the only way to get it out of their system is to have sex. If they don’t, the intoxication grows and grows until it eventually drives them insane and kills them.

Predator/Prey

  • Meaning: Also known as a Primal kink, where participants tap into primal or animalistic instincts and one partner hunts down the other. It gets the adrenaline going. This is a common trope in some Omegaverse settings. The primal, animalistic instincts here are what makes this an appealing kink, and it often involves biting and scratching, play wrestling and fighting each other, making the prey partner submit to the predatory partner.
  • Example: The “Omega Run” lore from some Omegaverse settings.

Power Imbalance

  • Meaning: A power imbalance is when one party has significantly more power and control over a situation than the other party, creating a situation of dubious consent. This power imbalance can present in many different ways, like a financial imbalance, an age gap, an authority imbalance, a social status imbalance, etc.
  • Example: Professor/College student, where the professor has the power to influence the student’s grades if their relationship goes sideways.

Hypnotism/Mind Control

  • Meaning: Hypnotism as a kink is where one person gets hypnotized for a mental or physical sexual purpose. This can go so far as to change the person’s personality and behavior to be more sexual or more in line with the partner’s wishes, but it can also just be something like a trigger word giving them an intense urge to suck dick, for example. Mind control as a kink is more broad, where it’s just generally about having control over what someone else does and doesn’t do, and can involve hypnosis, but also brainwashing and the like. Look at the concept of Sleeper Agents for a non-sexual example.

Dubcon/Consensual Non-Consent

  • Meaning: Dubious consent refers to fictional scenarios in which the consent is questionable or ambiguous. There are many reasons that can lead to it being dubious, such as the explicit consent to a seemingly violent or dubious sex scene being given off screen (or the consent being implied much later down the line), or things like power imbalances, coercion, manipulation, intoxication, or the sex being under false pretenses.
    Consensual Non-Consent is a form of roleplay that mimics forced sexual activity, but under completely consensual circumstances. It’s often used as a coping mechanism by survivors of SA, as it allows them to explore their feeling safely and gives them power over the situation instead of how powerless they felt during their trauma. Safewords are deeply important during CNC, as “stop” and “no” don’t always mean “stop” and “no” during CNC. Aftercare afterwards is also very important.
  • Example: Drunken sex. A vampire thralling someone to drink from them.

✧ Day 6 — 27/07 (Sunday, July 27th) ✧

Sex as a Distraction/Diversion

  • Meaning: Sex used as a way to distract someone (or an audience) from noticing what they or other people are doing.
  • Example: Spy Keith seducing Guard Lance to get him away from his guard post, allowing other spies to sneak in. Keith and Lance starting an orgy at a Galra-run club to distract the Galra employees enough for others to sneak in. Lance seducing Keith to be able to steal something from his pockets.

Breast/Pec/Nipple Play
